It gets better each time I go in. They would kill at this location by simply continuing to add more selection. If you’re competing with food lion then either go better selection or lower prices than them for our area. Aldi is coming and nobody beats them for low price. So just be better than food lion. Overall, this store has what I need with a great staff.

This is not the Shoppers Food Warehouse that I used to love and work at many years ago. This store is so overpriced it’s unbelievable. This is why the store is empty of customers. If an item is not on sale drastically it’s not worth buying. Just compare to Food Lion. Turkey Hill ice cream at Shoppers is 6.69 and at Food Lion 3.99. And that is everyday pricing. Just one example ,but most items at Shoppers are higher. Management here should go visit other stores and compare. Only good thing is they have very nice employees and the donuts are still great !

They have amazing donuts! Walked in the past few months and the donuts havent been ready. Seem's like management needs to either hire more people or pay the ones that work more to prevent them from leaving. Second time I walked in to buy groceries and walked out with an empty cart this month. I come for the donuts and out of convenience buy groceries. Hopefully ya'll get them back in soon or get them baked and out before noon more regularly.

Overall, the staff is always nice, and the food quality is far better compared to a few other stores I've visited in the Hughesville, Charlotte Hall, MD area.They have the best bakery I believe, but for some folks, it may be hard to spend $7.99 on a pack of baked cookies when they can be found for $4.99 to $5.29 down the street. Again, quality will always win in the long run.This is a much-needed new store, so it may take some time to see a significant increase in traffic. Where it stumbles, I believe, is that the pricing on a few items can be excessively expensive if not on sale, with many products cheaper in an area within 5–10 miles.Some of these folks are on fixed income: Again, it is difficult to persuade many people in these small communities to shop elsewhere for possibly higher quality food on some things when they are accustomed to going to a single location such as Wal-Mart and a few other local grocery stores, and know the employees.It's almost like convincing an elderly (uncle)-person to vote for the future or in his or her own self-interest, but one prefers the way things used to be.Many of the people I spoke with see Shoppers similar to Wegmans. However, I hope it endures, and that on a few items prices are reduced slightly, and more outside flyers are posted for people to see from the street.Finally, while inflation remains a driver, I believe certain adjustments can be made, but overall, it is worth a trip.One star off due to being price conscious and a few missing items, I would have like to purchase in one place.

This used to be McKay's. It's not as big as most Shoppers Warehouses but it has all their brands and prices. The meat was cut better than at most Shoppers I've been to. I will be shopping there again.

Went here today for some shopping and found the entire experience most pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful and the store neat and clean. There was plenty of variety and a nice international and produce section. Will definitely be returning!

I pre-ordered 2 dozen Holland cream donuts with Tammy in the bakery and let her know that I had bought some the previous week, and many had little to no filling. She said that the machine had malfunctioned and produced air pockets, but it was repaired now and that she would make the donuts herself. Well, when I picked them up and got them home, 2 donuts out of 2 dozen had sufficient filling. I called the manager (Derrick), and he said he would refund me. I offered to bring them back so he could see how they came, but he said no. He wasn't there the next day I returned but another manager refunded me. Holland cream is very thick, and I guess the machine can't handle it. The Waldorf store previously (before they closed) had the same problem. Now the newly opened Waldorf store doesn't offer them. 😒

Although this was a McKays from 1982 until 2022, having a pharmacy & liquor when the chain was still there, Shoppers does not have that as its' chain pharmacy service shut down back in 2019 as a plan for its' new parent company to almost make the chain defunct. Luckily, it was saved by union workers. For unknown reasons, there's no liquor being sold here. Although, this is very swell and courageous of the vibe and feeling here. The Café seatings still has the retro McKays feeling with the CRT TV still being there. (It would be amazing and pleasured if you would set up a TV service for that CRT television.) This is a very clean store and a nice setting. I do suggest going since it's new.

Prices more like Safeway, Shoppers used to be comparable to or less than Giant, I wonder if they are still local 400 ? Didn't smell the donuts frying either, are they still done in store?

Basically McKays without a pharmacy or liquor store. The store wasn't upgraded much at all. Still needs a huge remodel. The day we went they had wings on sale 99 cents a pound,but they were all freezer burnt and horrible looking....prices are worse than food lion. Not worth the trip,it's not a new store at all

This Shoppers has great sales on meats and fresh fruits and vegetables. Everyone I come across are very nice and helpful. Please come out and see. You won’t be disappointed. ❤️❤️❤️
