Amazing! Sushi available in store at Bakery. This sushi is fresh, and they roll at store. The best thing is I can order them to make a new Sushi in front of me and I can make a custom order. So awesome, come check it out. You will enjoy fresh sushi that makes here. It is so fresh, YUMMY!

Food Lion is great! I live almost directly between this location and Leonardtown’s. Every time I visit the place is well kept and the lines aren’t too long. Other than the perpetually congested parking lot, this place lives up to its namesake… Grocery store. Keep up the good work store 1319!

This store has potential because it's a nice size and is always well stocked. That nice comment was for the stockers who obviously do their job well. The sad part and the reason for the one star is three little white girls who work here (Marissa) is one of them who don't know what to say out of their mouths to customers and who could be a little racist too. The other is a chunky girl - who is in charge of something. It's 2024 and I'm still encountering racism in this world. I even had some white men almost run me over in the store and just kept rolling. No excuse me. - nothing. Finally - the parking lot. Not only is it nasty and dirty but all the biggest trucks in the world park right up front basically on top of the cars trying to shop here. Bad things are gonna happen in this parking lot because of it.

I go all the time to this supermarket and employees are very nice and always ask me if I found what I was lucking for and the quality of the fruits and veggies are very nice quality. It will be always my place to do my grocery shopping. 👍

Prices are better compared to another grocery store in the same area. Save more here, and brands are picking up after the Pandemic. The good thing is there are real people to check you out..which I prefer...

This Food Lion location only cares about profit. The litter in the parking lot is never picked up and is always a disgusting/trashy mess. How about making some of your employees who are playing on their phones go out and pick up the litter? The parking spaces are not "pull-through", so if you happen to push your cart down the wrong aisle, you can't simply cut through the lot... you must push your cart all the way around to get to your vehicle. That's extra fun in the rain.Their "landscaper" never weeds the flower beds. Instead, he simply dumps mulch over all the weeds to attempt to hide them for a week. I have actually seen him do this for the past 5 years that I've lived in Charlotte Hall. The shopping center right next to the Food Lion and the Tractor Supply and Wawa have such GOOD landscape maintenance, so Food Lion's "lack of care" really shows.Not only are the remodeled shopping aisles more narrow now, but some genius thought it would be a good idea to implement extra wide shopping carts. It is very frustrating getting stuck on EVERY AISLE, waiting for people to make up their minds and move out of the way. I shouldn't have to say, "excuse me" 500 times while grocery shopping.And as far as food freshness, we have gotten bad meat from this Food Lion location MULTIPLE times. It's a hassle to have a meal planned, and then need to drive all the way back to the store to exchange the meat.This is the worst Food Lion location. People only shop here due to lack of options. (It's currently the only grocery store in Charlotte Hall.) The Shoppers coming to town can't open soon enough!

Giving 5 stars because of an employee there name Cynthia, she usually is working the self check out. My daughter and I are in there most Tuesday mornings early so we see her every week. She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Very kind, professional and helpful. Food lion gets these stars because of her.

This store is the best. Savings all the time even when your not expecting it.Staff is awesome.The deli could use some training on meat slicing.You ask for thin,it's thick.Now you can not get your meat shaved. That's un heard of.Not happy with the deli at all.Once again another deli disappointment. The older gentleman there cannot hear very wellHe's nice but he has difficulty hearing. Also they have an automatic slicing machine and they still cut it thickI don't get it.

Sad to see McKay's close it's doors, but this Food Lion is excellent. Curbside pickup service is tremendous. Prices easily beat other major competitors. Great store for your staple items. Nice people too

This Food Lion Grocery Store is one of the busiest in the region. It underwent an expansion in 2021, which has greatly relieved alot of the congestion. It has a nice deli with the lowest prices of any other grocery stores in the area. They put in self check-out registers in the last year, but they still have many employee-manned check out lanes if you prefer those. The aisles are organized in a way that makes it easy to find what you're looking for. I really like the variety of things in the meat department, though I'd like to see more choices of seafood in the future. The store is clean, and usually kept well stocked. When they've been low on items, it's due to supply chain issues, and not the store. They always have people on the floor re-stocking if they have the items on site to fill the shelves. They have a Coinstar machine for customer use, and they have grocery-bag recycling containers at the front of the store so you can dispose of your used plastic bags responsibly.

Employees consistently occupy the family restroom during their entire break. As someone with 2 kids that I have to bring with me, it makes it very inconvenient to have to struggle to bring 2 very young kids with me into the women’s restroom when there is the family restroom and changing table available but is being utilized for something other than it’s intended purpose.

Relatively good selection for a food lion. Staff are all very nice. Produce is of better quality than Walmart. But I always try to go elsewhere for meats. Mainly beef and seafood.

Staff is always kind and friendly. We usually end up making friends in the store with our little dude 😆 the renovation has made the store even better, but WOOWEE does it get crowded sometimes with being the only grocery store in the area. I recommend going after 530pm on a weeknight.

I am so in love with this Food Lion since the renovation! It’s always been a great store, but given McKay’s empty shelves, it’s now THE ONLY grocery we have in our town. They are doing amazing at keeping everything stocked with the pressures of being the only store left. But that’s just part of it. The employees are the best part. Every time we go they remember, and acknowledge. And not just a “hello”, but a personable “oh hey, good to see you again” which makes grocery shopping less of a chore and boarder-line happy to need to go back. They have relationships with their customers and that’s so rare. Since the self checkouts have been installed I have never once stood in line at their registers even when I’ve had a hard time even finding a parking spot. Food Lion Charlotte Hall is giving off Chic-Fil-A vibes, and I’m here for it. 👏 👏 👏

This Food Lion is going through some growing pains, but still has an intuitive layout and wide aisles. The service is friendly and prompt and the store is kept clean and accessible.Outside parking is a bit of a madhouse. Still have a whole row taken up by park and pickup shopping so parking is always tight and during busier hours, you have to wait a few minutes to find a space.All-in-all, a good shoping experience.

Before this store was constructed in the early 2000s, our only grocery options in Charlotte Hall & Mechanicsville were the locally owned and operated McKay's, and the Amish store. The McKay's recently shut its doors after about 1 million years in business, and the Amish store has no electricity, which is limiting... so Food Lion is pretty much it unless you want to travel 30 minutes north or south. 😂That said it isn't the worst option. Prices are decent if you shop sales. They have a low priced store brand option for many items, and they are usually good. Recently they finished expanding and renovating and it's looking pretty bougie. 😏 Their bakery hasn't totally blown me away yet and they don't have a huge selection of specialty items or anything, but I think they have more fancy cheeses than they used to. 😉 Also pretty user friendly self-checkout now with several registers so that moves pretty quickly. Staff is usually polite and friendly. Oh, and if I want to avoid people all together (which is usually preferable for grocery shopping) their curbside pickup & grocery delivery options run pretty quickly, smoothly, and reasonably.Honestly I try to buy my everyday essentials from Aldi (which is about 30 minutes away for us, but near work/school for our family) which boasts lower prices, but for things they don't carry or on a time-crunch, Food Lion is a good option.

Considering this is not a 'lifestyle' supermarket as is found in more affluent areas of the DMV, this store has an amazing selection of gourmet, ethnic, and organic items at very reasonable prices. And unlike the trendiest stores in the DMV, I have never found an expired item on the shelves. Very well managed.

The parking lot is filthy. Trash everywhere. No one cleans it. Told the manager several times and they don’t seem to care. Some employees are rude to customers. Shoppers food is opening soon…👍

Very nice store. The girls and young man in the deli were working very hard. It was very busy but they kept smiles on their faces and were very professional the entire time. They worked very hard to male sure each customer got everything they wanted, and that it was sliced and packaged the way the customers wanted it. One lady was complaining (because she didnt wanna get in line) but by the time the girl was done helping her even that mean woman left with a smile on her face. And that is just one example of how awesome these Food Lion deli workers are. I will go out of my way to shop at this store from now on. I appreciate each and everyone of them. Thank you Food Lion. All of you are terrific. I highly recommend this Food Lion location.

Very poor customer service. Having to check out my own order, then have a person, who does no greeting at all stand behind and stare at me like I'm a theif. Then when I talk to the "manager" David, he is very rude and says she's doing her job and threatened to ban me from the store because I complained. At least the stocker person putting away ice apologized for what he saw her doing and the David person's actions and thanked me for being a customer.Should not be a manager and definitely need to train the other person on customer service.

Very disappointed with this particular store. Went looking for turkey breast that was on sale. The meat man just said "we ain't got none." I went to customer service (what a joke) I had to stand and wait while the lady wrote on a chart. Finally, she acknowledged me. I told her that I wanted a rain check and she just said no and shrugged with a kind of half smile. She said this store does not choose to issue rainchecks. With covid and supply issues it is to much work.

This is probably the busiest food line I've come to they since remodeled I love it everything is easy to find. People are very friendly here. The selections wonderful. You won't feel like you're warm or here waiting in line forever you have plenty of cashiers at the helm. I recommend to anyone that's in the area too I'm take a look and give it a shot

The staff here always greet you with a smile and positive attitude. They offer assistance to everyone. This store is always well-stocked and looking nice and fronted as well. The best thing here is the fresh, quality produce they always have! Never fails to amaze me. They furthermore have the best sales--my total has yet to drop less than at least 15 to 20 percent. Even more at times. One of the best grocery stores in the area.
