The customer service here at grooming is despicable. I arrived at 7:35 p.m. this evening hoping for a quick sanitary grooming of my toy poodle. Takes about 20 minutes typically. I was told sorry we're getting ready to close. The Google page says separately for grooming 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. I said what time do you stop taking people. Her first response was now... while A co-worker stated 7:00 p.m.I simply stated you should put that on your Google listing so that people don't waste their time driving here. She retorted...you entitled people....I m going out side I can't be in here with this entitled......trailed off, as she walked out of the front door.her co workers implored her to stop.As if being accurate or expecting good service is entitled...I actually continued to make the appointment....stupidly...only to have it cancelled in the system by someone at the store by the time I got home.

Please don't let Angela I think was her name, cut your fur family member, I was so upset I forgot her name, she is light skinned women of Hispanic decent it looks like. She was sooo nonchalant about butchering my dog's tail and gave my dog a crooked cut to go with it. She told me it would grow back. I just looked at her. I had my dog there before different groomer, my dogs tail same condition, she came out fine, but not with this butcher. She told me don't ask for her again which I didn't in the first place they picked a groomer for my dog. I'm sorry, I was under the assumption that they all knew how to cut dogs since they are all "groomers". I left basic instructions, and I came back to whatever it was......but it wasn't grooming. I paid 69 dollars for nothing and I had to go home and I tried to salvage the barbaric cut she gave my dog. I will not ever go back for the fact that she never apologized, told me the tail would grow back and don't book her again......which again I didn't. If I knew she didn't know how to groom I would have put my dog with the previous groomer she had before. Due to the disrespect and non caring attitude she won't have to worry about me coming back......and I will be calling corporate.

My son got his birthday pet "bearded dragon" from here. The staff was very helpful with instructions on how to feed and take care of my son pet. He loves seeing all the other pets they have to offer.

D did an awful job on our dog.She came back to us without her nails trimmed because she said our dog was aggressive. Her hair was extremely uneven and choppy. We took her back in to get smoothed out and her nails clipped and it only took 10 mins with the help of another groomer. After we took her home we noticed her leg was cut and there are still a lot of uneven chunks on her fur. The woman who helped D was extremely professional, kind, and helpful. I would advise another groomer when booking an appointment

If I could leave zero stars I would. STAY far away from here!First, dropping off my pup the person checking us in was beyond rude. I usually use another PetSmart but it was my pups birthday and I saw the day before they had availability for the next day, perfect I thought. The employee told me to never book online and only call for large dogs. This was odd because I have always been directed to book online and never had a problem. At this time I was also directed to pick up my pup at 5:30 because they closed at 6 that day, no problem.Roughly almost 3 hours later I called to check on my Tucker, I was told to pick him up at 7, and then they hung up before I could clarify. Obviously with being told they closed at 6, I was confused. I immediately called back to ask what time they closed. Linette answered the phone, oh lord was she rude, refused to answer my question (what time grooming closed that day) for 7-8times. She only wanted to give me an estimate on my pup. I did not need a new estimate being I was just told one, which only made her more angry with me. After I finally got an answer she asked for my animals name, when I gave that to her she hung up the phone. So I called back, where she proudly told me she meant to hang up on me, after some exchanges I asked to speak to her manager.After sometime on hold, I was connected. He didn’t even apologize for my treatment, he actually said nothing at all. When I told him if he wasn’t even going to apologize I would like the number for corporate and no longer wanted my pup there and told him I could be there in 15mins. Once o said that he told me “I was going to apologize and make it right, but since you want your dog and corporate I won’t help you.” He said he would meet with me when I arrived.When I got to the location, it looked like they had just thrown my pup in the tub, added soap and sprayed him, just get turn him out of the tub freshly soaking wet and still full of soap. I would have preferred they did nothing at all. There were puddles everywhere and my car seats are ruined. The manger was unavailable to speak with me, of course after telling me he would.I am still waiting on corporate, I have filed a formal complaint.

This place has made me feel extremely small and uncomfortable to shop there. I stood by for twenty eight minutes waiting for service while the manager of all employees flirted with a guy for seventeen minutes as I stood by awaiting service. I never received that service. I asked her was it because of my race that made her stay away from me and if it was not my race then what was it? I never received a response to that or service. Thirty minutes of my day wasted

Sometimes you find a gem! There is an amazing groomer at the Catonsville Pet Smart. Her name is Angelica and she is very skillful with nervous little darlings. My Maltese is 9 years old and has never liked being groomed but Angelica has the magic touch! She is thoughtful, gentle and THE BEST!! He doesn’t come home looking like a little white scalped rat but my handsome little man! Thank you!!

They have one cashier and she didn’t look up from her phone at me or anyone else even once. Not even while checking us out. She was holding her hand out to hand me the receipt five feet away because she couldn’t see where I was lol. I could barely hear her talk, spoke in an unwelcoming, bored tone of voice. She did NOT want to be there and it’s obvious. And she has done that the past three times we’ve seen her there before this. It’s insanely rude she’s got it plugged in so it doesn’t die, so probably does this the WHOLE TIME. she can’t even look up for one second. She gets paid to stand there and scroll Instagram and sometimes scans item’s multiple times because the barcode is on the opposite side because she hasn’t even looked at it. Does management not care about customers either? Because this wouldn’t be allowed anywhere else. Guess corporate should be informed that their front of house employees openly hate their job and the customers and look like they would rather be doing absolutely ANYTHING else.

Very Disappointed. I assume management has changed as the customer service is now Awful. I was there for 10-15 mins, waiting to be assisted while being ignored by the staff as they chit-chatted (along with the manager). They glanced at me several times and then kept talking.When I finally walked up to them, with a smile, to inquire about adopting a cat, the manager quickly said that they were not adopting that day and continued talking about personal matters with the staff.It wasn't always like this: the customer service used to be wonderful here. Please train and vet your managers better or else you'll lose more business.

Great Place for beautiful engraved pet ID tag! A varied selection of shapes, color, and sizes of pet IDTags. The purchase price includes the cost of laser engraving on both front and back of tag. Mine was a small shape and only cost $10.47, with tax included. Other available products for pets, are food, toys, leashes, collars, harnesses, clothes, costumes, habitats, treats, and training aids. There is a grooming salon. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Staff was super helpful, though a little unsure about handling rats. I'm a lifelong rat owner and picked them right up. I got 3, and every single one was clearly handled by the breeder, very curious and people-friendly rats. I'd buy from this store again.

All you need for pets. Food, treats, training, beds - everything. Don’t have a pet - you can adopt one here too!Staff is super helpful in finding what you need. Teddy was a great help today guiding me to the pet hair removal section :)

This used to be a wonderful store. Between Shane on the curbside pickup team and store manager Germaine, the staff was friendly and the service stellar. Since Germaine's tragic death and Shane's reassignment elsewhere in the store, however, things have gone downhill badly: the team is short-staffed and stressed, resulting in customers facing long phone waits and brusque responses from staff when the phone is picked up; curbside pickup packing is haphazard at best without Shane's thoughtful care.Petsmart, this store needs a full staff, especially during the holiday rush!!!

One of the few places that actually have Fiesta Salmon Shreds for my Cat...Nice clean environment. Friendly staff and! Gulp, they have a cat adoption area. Although a little high for the Adoption fees. I have Found that Rise Above Rescue is cheaper and in more need of the funds. Still they little guys need rescued

Don’t deserve any stars ! I took my dog king to be groomed for the second time , the first time was fine they told me he was a wonderful dog and he did amazing . but this time was totally different I knew something was off when I first walked in ANGELICA says “oh he bit me the last time” but forgot she had told me he did amazing the first time but moving along . they kept my dog for 5 hours just to tell me that they couldn’t cut him because he was too matted and that he needed medical grooming when i picked him up i was devastated because why would they start to cut him if they said it couldn’t be done . he had fur hanging from several different places on his body… luckily I did my research and I took him to another place to learn that he wasn’t matted and he was not shaved bald and also that Angelica left my dog with razor burns . I am angry and I will be calling corporate! MY DOG WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS LOCATION

I recently adopted a kitten 😻 and for now I have decided to keep her on the food that she was receiving at the shelter, Hill Science Diet. The Catonsville PetSmart was the only place in the area I found Hill Science Diet dry food. I went to my local Walmart & Safeway prior to my visit to PetSmart looking to obtain this cat food. PetSmart has a large selection of cat food( food for all pets), toys, and healthcare items. The cashier who checked me out was very friendly, she asked about my cat and when she found out Monday was adopted from the Maryland SPCA, she advised me to bring my adoption book the next time I come in and PetSmart would give me a coupon booklet. Side note, the store was very clean and organized, signage let you know what section to go to for your particular type of pets.

PetSmart Catonsville is TRASH , groomer D’Von and Manager Ashley.I scheduled my appointment 3 weeks in advance. October 8th 2023 , I had an appointment at 1230pm. I was called by D’Von (black man, curly hair , over weight) called me at 10:14am , telling me I can come in 2 hours earlier for my appointment. Awesome cool, when I got there it was 1045. D’Von was still grooming another dog, cool I said I’m about to go find Prince a calming bar , so when you do his ears (at the end of a 2/3 hour service) he will be calm for you. This man , turns and tells me , I should not do that , that’s not something PetSmart grooming allows , excuse me ? I’ve brought my dog in at lease 4/5 times & had no issues giving him the calming bar .. (mind you he was rude , extra and threw me completely off. ) I went to look for the bars they only had CBD. Prince is only 6 months im not giving him CBD.*calming bars are to help dog relax. They are only good for 6 hours, since my appointment was moved up 2 hours in advance I was not able to give him the bar… but if these people were smart( which I have gone to other locations , gave him the calming bar 5 mins before he went back to get groomed with no issues)When I went back into the groomer, I politelyasked him , are you paying for this service ?, are you with my dog 24/7? Who are you two tell me what to do with my dog? Mind you he was not polite when talking to me , he was demanding..** Obtaining the calming bar would of helped the GROOMERS . All dogs do not like there ears being cleaned , and for the grooming that’s the last thing they touch( I have stayed at PetSmart before and watching for 2 hours and 30 mins before )I felt very uncomfortable, I’ve never been talked down to about my Prince.* I will be calling corporate in the morning. I have videos and witnesses to show this man was rude.Ashley the manager was cool , but at the end of the day calming bar or not someone still should have groomed my dog.I have a registered service dog. He deserves the best respect and care when going to these places.I will never go back to this grooming location. This was completely wrong, D’Von was completely out of line. Ashley agreed that he was even wrong.I don’t know if it was because I am a black woman , he thought I didn’t know what I was doing but I felt discriminated against.I will be putting together a petition and have signed by higher authorities.D’Von next time be polite, respectful, give suggestions rather then demanding things and maybe you will get farher.

I usually don’t post reviews of this kind but the service was ridiculous. Me and my cousin came into the pet smart around 6:40 and went to look at the Guinea pigs. We found one that we decided on and tried to find an employee to help us, after looking around we found 4 employees total, 2 of them were helping people, and the other two were having a conversation at the cash register. So we followed an employee until they were done helping someone, and asked them for help with the Guinea pigs. The first thing she does is ask for a picture of the cage we have, so we try to find one, while looking she leaves to help someone else. At this point it’s around 6:55-7:00. We had to go find her, and before getting a word out she says “My manager said it’s to late for adoptions. Come back tomorrow from 9-7 for adoptions ” It was 7:04 P.M. and the store closes at 9:00 P.M.Very convenient the time was 7:00 P.M. when we were there right after 7 P.M. We have been before to adopt a Guinea pig (that time took even longer for someone to help us) and it took under 20 minutes to adopt. So I could understand if it was after 7:00 and we wanted to adopt but it was before 7:00 when we started the process. If closing adoption 2 hours before closing is standard procedure, I’d be shocked. But I have a feeling it was something to do with our ages, my cousin is 20, and I am a minor. This awful service is a reoccurring issue and nothing is being done to solve it.This was on Friday, August 4th 2023.This worker that helped us was a young white female with longer dark hair.

Fantastic PetSmart! Like many PetSmarts, they have a good selection of food, toys, carriers, etc. for your pet(s).The location is unique because they have so many cats (especially kittens) up for adoption! Luckily, the kitties get adopted quickly!

This store is horrific! LYNETTE - in grooming AND Mr BROWN -team lead are completely DISRESPECTFUL and extremely DISMISSIVE! They talked over me and took this situation so light! She cancelled my appt that was scheduled in advance and did NOT communicate why or that it was even cancelled and I would not have know if I didn’t call to confirm the same day! I asked for a manager and she put a FRIEND on the phone as well as gave me FAKE CORPORATE NUMBER! I would NEVER in a million years consider this place and I hope no one takes their fur babies here. These ppl DO NOT CARE

I have brought my dog to this location for grooming twice. The first time was great no complaints, the second time they called me to complain about her fur. When we picked her up she had multiple cuts from the clippers. I had an appointment again, they turned my dog away because “she doesn’t like the dryer and they need more time”. If that’s the case why allow online booking? I didn’t receive a phone call or anything and moved around my entire schedule to get her there. Manager was no help either!

After losing our regular groomer at another PetSmart we began our search for a "replacement". Most locations were showing 4 - 5 weeks and our mini poodle was already past his regular grooming timeframe.We found Beverly at the Catonsville PetSmart could take Marley and made his appointment.We could not be happier with the results. He's back to our handsome little man. Booking his next appointment right now. Thanks Beverly.
