The employees here are polite, courteous, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. This store, like most Ace hardware stores, is clean, convenient and well stocked with the things they do sell. I always go there before heading to the big box stores, price was the same for my new ceiling light.

They can cut laser keys. Although I've been having issues trying to cut the key to work. The workers have all been nice and helpful we just can't get the key to work.

I wish you all would do better with keeping items in stock. I visited Ace Hardware in Ritchie Station Capital Heights yesterday and was disappointed that I was unable to purchase BenjaminMoore paint samples as they were out of stock. Can you please confirm when you will have paint samples back in stock? Your employees were not able to answer my question.

I needed a new barbque grill in January as I grill all throughout the year. After researching & deciding on a Weber model, I found that Ace Hardware had it priced much lower than everyone else. However the ONLY Ace Hardware store that Ace’ website would let me order from is 14 miles away from me as supposedly they had it in stock. Closer locations were not available to me.Well, I called Wheeler Ace & a gentleman answered the phone. His name is Sean or Shawn, and he identified himself as the store manager. Long story short, he had only the floor model to sell me. None in the warehouse & none coming in. He was gracious with a discount for the floor model, gracious, kind & courteous throughout our many phone calls on a Friday. In the end, I had to rent a Uhaul trailer to pick it up. Shawn/Sean made everything go smoothly. He was so helpful & really excelled at customer service. The other employee at the location greeted me as he walked by.The store is spic & span clean and organized.If you need a hardware store & want to be treated right, Wheeler Ace is your place.

The customer service is excellent! The associate, not only did he check the back for inventory, he loaded the 60lbs parcel in my car. Plus, he cut keys that actually work! Ace is the place for the helpful hardware man!

Popped in here randomly looking for a candle and the young guys were super helpful and friendly. They were getting prepared to close, but didn't rush me or make me feel unwlecome. I'll definitely be back. Oh, and it's black owned! 💪🏾

I wanted to love this store, even with Home Depot right down the street, I came here to support my people ✊🏽but I was not as impressed as I wanted to be, I'm an avid DIYer and love to stock up on my supplies and tools to make sure I always have enough of everything when I need it. First when I walked in the door, I received a really dry "hey", there were only about 3 or 4 people working and I was the only customer, so it wasn't busy. I walked around aimlessly looking for things for about 10 minutes and not a single employee asked if needed assistance, I was annoyed to say the least. When I finally made it to checkout, the cashier and "greeter" if that's what you wanna call him, were carrying on a conversation about college football, didn't ask if I found everything I needed. It took about 2 minutes to ring me up check me out with the ONE item I purchased. I wanted to love it, but the lack of care for the customers is terrible. Maybe they need people who've actually worked in CS before because what they have now isn't working.

I was looking for a specific pvc connector to replace my old one. I had been to both Lowes and Home Depot to no avail. I walked in to ACE and was greeted with a smile and service. Not only did they have what I needed but I was pleased with the service. I recommend everyone shop with the small business like this one that provide excellent service. I will return YES!!!!!

Very clean and appealing, but nobody asked me if I needed assistance, so I'm off to Frager's Ace Hardware on PA Ave in SE, DC. Not having someone to offer help in an Ace is a different experience for me as Frager's "bubbles over" with team members asking at every corner of their store. Again, this location is very clean and appealing and if you don't need any assistance, its a great place to shop, I'm sure. . .

If you call this store and Antwan answers, hang up. And yes, the manager of this store did personally come to my house on Sunday to do Antwan's job for him. The manager seemed embarrassed. Antwan needs to realize he's upsetting everybody when he plays on the phone.

Okay to start off I'm giving a 4 STAR rating just because they took the time and effort to open shop in my community but I'm letting my safety valve blow. I have been a independent contractor for five years and in the industry for over 20 years. I have put my boots in supply houses from Boston to Miami. This is not my first experience with a "New" store. Generally I only go here for parts and supplies for my Big Green Egg, nothing more. They don't stock building materials, bulk goods or major home components. If you are someone that calls a person like me to fix things for you this is your "hardware store" other than that you can pick up the same stuff at Walmart or Target. I need someone from Wheeler's to go to about 10 local Ace and Truvalue stores to see how it's done. Other than that this place is useless to a contractor or serious D.I.Y.er.

Tavon greeted me at the door. I showed him a picture of what I needed and he helped me find a like item, brought it to the front, rung me up and loaded it into my car. He was professional, knowledgeable and extremely helpful.
