The customer service I received this past Sunday was OUTSTANDING. The extremely loud explicit rap music played by the manager was UNBELIEVABLE. I can't believe Dollar General allows this let alone from the manager of the store.

I placed 2 orders and went to pick them up. the cashier said she didn't know he had any puck up orders. I offered to get my orders off the shelf due to her being the only employee in the store. Majority of the items were not on the shelves. Products blocking all isles everywhere. I got back to the counter to repurchase what items I had on my oder because she told me to cancel my orders. My orders would not answer and no manager was there. The employee did not have the scanner code to scan my coupons so I left empty handed with no refund.

Tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt. Been sitting outside since 7:45 this morning not realizing they don’t open until 8. Ok so I decided to wait and be patient once 8 arrives I go to try to open door but it’s still locked. Someone is definitely inside the store before the register lights are on. I attempted several times to enter store also even called but didn’t get an answer. Here it is 8:20 still no one has opened the store and that’s ridiculous. It states online & plastered on the door that the store opens at 8 and I’m trying to figure out why that isn’t happening.

If there was a 0 option I would choose that. The store plays rap music just loud enough where you can’t hear the clerk. None of the prices marked on the shelf were right on checkout. The clerk Akilah is so unprofessional, she argued with me about the prices and was on her personal phone the entire time that I was in the store.

The only reason I give this place two stars is because they have what you’re looking for IF YOU SEARCH HARD ENOUGH. This place is a mess everywhere. Boxes on the floor everywhere, trash every step you take. You literally have to move stuff to get where you wanna go. I can barely find a staff member to help me because they are never on the floor. I’m surprised this store is still open. Do better.

I visit this Dollar General on the regular and normally have no problems. However this time the employees were rude. The store closes at 10pm and I arrived around 9 but the door was locked. I've come around this time multiple times with no issue and great customer service. However I didn't appreciate the employees looking at me knock without any acknowledgement but to sit there on their phones. Basically ignoring me at the door; I would at least expect basic human courtesy.

The staff was friendly and the store was reasonably organized. This particular location is conveniently located near hotels. If you forget to bring self-care items on a trip, don't want to use hotel-brand shampoo, or simply plan to buy certain things on location, DG has you covered.

Hello this cost between $10-12 dollars but first you have to buy the air wick plug-in adapter which holds the fragrance. It will have your place smelling good and keeping everyone relax and calm during these extreme times. That's what the scent of lavender 💜 will do for ya💜

This is by far the worst Dollar General - in reference to customer service - I've ever experienced. My friend told me about these awesome glass water bottles for $2 so this was my 3rd DG and this was the biggest mistake. The men and women are just plain nasty. I picked up an item because it wasn't clearly priced and took it up front as instructed by another associate - when it wasn't what I expected, I asked could he delete it. He went into a tirade about how he hated when customers do that and he has to put it back at the end of the day. I offered to return it to the shelf and he declined and responded with how he hates his job. I was completely stunned and literally had nothing to say. I couldn't muster up any response and stood there deflated. I want to call corporate so bad but I'm torn. Anyway be warned - put your armor on.

Really good store. Can never go and leave with just one thing. The store manager is a really nice person and was very helpful in pointing out specific money saving items. This particular store location is in the Kingdom Hall Plaza, corner of Central Ave and Hampton Park Blvd., Capital. Hgths. , MD.

I love the low prices at Dollar General. They beat all the other dollar store and grocery store prices I pay for items I purchase weekly.*****3-10-198**Three months later I now have to take away three (4) of their stars away.This is because of the horrible polices and lousy management. I went back after Christmas to return a toy car I had purchased as a gift and the manager and associates gave me a hard time returning this gift with my reciept in hand. The car did not work for my nephew at Christmas. There was a long line that day and the cashier took her time to go to a shelf to find batteries to place into the car to check out only to find out that it did not work, like I told her. Then called the area manager on the phone who told her to tell me that I couldn't' t return it. Ok, I was fuming! So I went to another Dollar General in Suitland a few days later, where the mgr. there a male, asked me if I had been to his fiances store in Capital Heights, I said yes. He then just shook his head and smirked. I too shook my head and grimmest showing that I was not pleased at all with her or the service there. He said, "those ladies over there could have refunded your money". I said "I know!" "They just wanted to give me a hard time." He then gave me the $20.00 and I left the store.So now every time I visit the Capital Heights store and the manager and associates recognize me they silently point me out. LOL!!! That's just fine with me. I have my money!

Mgt should be ashamed of themselves. I went to dollar Gen this evening and it was blazing hot in there. I felt so bad for the employees. I felt like i was gonna pass out and i was only in there for 5 min. They had them in there working n cleaning. They should have shut the store down. Having no AC as hot as it was today is uncalled for.

They never open on time it’s 8:27am they still not open there’s people waiting on them to open they supposed to open at 8:00am they should change the time they open to 9:00 like that people don’t have to wait till the person responsible for opening wake up

The thing I like most about DG is they remind d me most of the old Five and Dime type place. They have almost everything there. Staffing is generally friendly and the place is well organized

My favorite store after moving into Landover from DC. It's like my Walmart, and I'm in here literally every week. Long lines during the evenings but they go down fast.
