I hate working here, I have a lazy and rude boss who talks trash about me whenever I’m not there, he makes me count inventory, doesn’t care to give consistent schedules after being asked multiple times, will leave 2 hours early, or just disappear for long periods of time. Gets on my case when I’m on break or in the bathroom but hates being called out. Management at store 282 needs major work. Which is why im applying to other jobs and will not recommend working here to anyone.

I visit this Weis A LOT. I live 3 min away and have two young babies so I’m constantly having to run out and grab this or that. Normally I come in the evening and I never have had any issues w anything here BUT this morning I left my house early to run to Wei’s to purchase some formula for my daughter. I walked up to the customer service desk and there was a lady I’m assuming was a manager leaned over doing something who briefly looked up at me and then looked over at her group of employees lounging around talking in the self check out area. The young girl yells over to me that “that register is closed you can take your stuff to 10” . I proceed to tell her I need formula where she again doesn’t move only yells over to me that the register is closed and I need to go to register 10. I say “ I NEED FORMULA “ and she hears me now obviously because I had to raise my voice and then of course she has an attitude now because she was trying to not have to do any work but now she has to get me the formula I needed. She clearly had an attitude with me because honestly it was 730 in the morning and I’m not stupid I come here almost every day I see the register right beside me is open not to mention the entire self check out area is free obviously i could of went to any of those but I needed something I could only get from the customer service desk HENCE THE REASON IM STANDING HERE !!!! So anyway the child gives me the formula and I go to number 10 and have a nice chat with your cashier Wendy B. who is just the nicest person she was truly a blessing because of her I didn’t leave the store infuriated only just a bit annoyed and imagine how much more when I’m walking out and see the employee standing in the middle of the self check out lanes on her phone . Yall need to do better with the children you hire I understand they need a job too but yall need to teach these people customer service if they don’t know it unfortunately it’s not a skill all possess and she definitely did not and obviously neither did your “Manager” who didn’t even acknowledge me or ask me if I needed something only made eye contact and looked away at the group of employees standing around. Honestly the next time I need something on short notice in the morning I’ll drive the extra distance to not have my day start off terrible because of store employees who obviously have a million better things to do than THeIR JOBS ! Thanks for nothing Weis !

Horrible every time I get ice cream it's been tampered with. The produce sucks I saw the worker there picking out the rotten strawberries but not replacing them with any good ones. The meat is horrible and over priced.the baked goods are stale. Sad

the big hump back whale store manager has a VERY nasty attitude with the staff. having to witness that on my shopping trip definitely made me want to spend my money else where. i recommend hiring a manager who actually respects their staff

The people are great but man don’t buy pork here one day last week I get bacon that made me sick. Noticed later that it stunk didn’t catch that at first Then today I get pork shoulder steaks that stink like hell it’s just not worth taking it back, but I certainly won’t buy again at least not the meat.

Would bump my rating up to a 4 if the place didn't absolutely *reek.* Stock is good, especially given how remote the area is. But the meat counter has an overpowering stink of rotting fish, which hits like a wall immediately upon entering the store and has gotten progressively worse over the last couple years. Unless I'm in a pinch for something right away, I typically drive the extra 20 minutes to go to Harris Teeter instead. Shame to waste the gas, but the stink is both deeply unpleasant and makes me worry about the cleanliness and food safety at this location.

This is the market where we usually stop by when we need some groceries. The price is not bad at all,especially when you’re traveling. Sometimes, we got luck out on discount on items but you have to sign up for membership and it is free. There is a public restroom in the left rear corner of the shop. Some clearance is also stack in the same corners as well.

So this weis is very clean and it doesn't have homeless people running around asking you for money like the Lexington Park location. One more thing Weis brand ice cream is some of the best store bought ice cream I have ever eaten better than most of the big name ice cream they sell.

We're new to the area and have shopped here a few times. Have found the store to be well kept and stocked. (Although all the sale lobsters were gone this Sunday - bummer). We've found the employees always willing to help. During this past Sunday's visit the woman working in the produce department exuberance was really a joy to see. Also the older woman working the self-checkout was very helpful. One thing though, is that the entrance/exit is tight with all the goods placed in the area. All in all, a nice place to shop. They also have a decent Seafood Dept

Rude employees and poor customer service. Cashier that rang up my small purchases was rude and said she didn't sell from the cigarette case. When i went to customer service to purchase cigarettes she sold cigarettes to the man that had been behind me in line. The cashier at customer service gave me the wrong cigarettes there and tried saying I said a different kind and it wasn't until I got home that i found out i was missing a product i purchased. Tried calling the store back and was ignored very dissatisfied this place used to be a great store not anymore thats for sure

Great selection of groceries. A bit pricy on some items, but I guess that’s how all stores are these days. Friendly staff, and I do mean they are friendly, helpful, always checking to see if they can help you find anything They even help me get my groceries in my car and they lift heavy containers of water which this senior woman can't lift on my own!. The store is always clean. I especially like their deli! Their selections are great and they carry some hard-to-find meats and cheeses. This store is very well managed and a delight to shop in!

They move the food around weekly. You can never find anything. Every basket of blackberries ice bought was moldy. They don't have half the items I need in stock. They have great employees, but I feel sorry for them.

Can't say how often I've bought expired items in the past 2 1/2 years. Was okay for a while after they rearranged the store but they're back to stocking new items up front with old ones in the back. I love the convenient location but prefer to shop with confidence in not having to check dates on near everything.

I was very disappointed with all meat and seafood departments. There was hardly anything to choose from. Especially for a Saturday. The Produce department looked bad too. Celery, green pepper, bananas all looked bad. I was so disappointed. I usually go to The Greatmills wise but I brag about how much cleaner your store is. But not that day. Sorry

Please teach your deli staff how to chip or shred deli meat. I had to tell the deli staff I was not accepting the order, and they told me it was chipped as requested, but there were whole slices in the package. Also, please teach them how to acknowledge the customer after the customer gives their order, so the customer knows they understood the order details.

This store got off to a slow start replacing the Food Lion brand at this location. They have come a long way and do an excellent job with customer service. Shelves are now stocked. Cashiers and staff are very friendly. If you must go grocery shopping, this is a nice place to get it done.

I stopped at Weis Market for my weekly grocery shopping on 06/24/23 and signed up for their Weis Rewards card. The only small gripe is their expensive prices and no closer locations for Weis Market in Fairfax County, VA.

Watch your expiration dates on shelved items. Requested Hazelnut International Delight numerous times over the last year (they used to stock it), but it’s still not carried. The deli, produce, seafood, meat section are top notch and very clean. Hit or miss sometimes on inventory but that’s the world we live in.

Pre-Covid: Parking lots a little bit difficult to get in and out of unless you're used to it. They updated this place not too long ago so if you're looking for more high-end than your average grocery store ie more organic/ gluten free, you're in luck. It definitely carries different things than the other Weis nearby.Because they have more international, organic and gluten free that does mean that some of the ones you might expect aren't here.They have a hot food section and they put out a lot of their deli into prepackaged single pounds for you to pick up out of a case. Other than the traditional sheet cakes and their case of ice cream cakes they're bakery is nonexistent. They have a few loaves of bread but they're all much more expensive than the $1 - $3 loads then I'm used to in other grocery store bakeries.Post COVID-19: Still tricky to get in/ out especially if it's high traffic time.I have tried the Weis to go. The website ordering is a lukecold mess. That's the only way I can think to describe it. This store had stock issues pre covid, and now if I can get more than 2/3 the stuff on my list I will play The lottery, since I must be on a lucky streak. It has happened 1 once so far.HOWEVER the saving grace is the workers. Always has been. Some might walk away when you ask them something, but most care about helping you out. Bless you every 1 that works there!

The Weis store in Callaway has really friendly and helpful employees. They have a great selection and really good pricing. Sign up for discount card. Then you can throw out the card and just use your phone number and it'll save you a lot of money.

There were a lot of employees, and they were super nice and helpful. They had a pretty decent amount of products that you usually might have to go to a specialty store to buy: like the "fancy cheese" section, as one employee called it lol. I didn't do a lot of shopping in the non-perishables area, so I cannot really comment on that. For those who try to eat organic: This grocery store doesn't have a specific organic section in the produce department, from what I saw. I could be wrong, but I looked for one and couldn't find it. I even asked an associate working in the produce section if there was a specific organic section and he didn't say there was but pointed out that they do have a section labeled "organic" although it just consists of like probiotic drinks such as kombucha, Lifeway KEFIR (i bought the strawberry banana flavor and it was delicious), etc. He continued saying that they do have organic produce, that they put a sticker on it that says "organic", so you just need to look for that if your looking for organic items. Unfortunately, that makes the organic produce somewhat hard to find because they are kept alongside all the other food. I'm addition, in comparison to other grocery stores in St Mary's County, I didnt see a whole lot of options when it came to trying to buy organic produce. My experience was good, however. The employees were pleasant and I cant judge too hard because it is difficult to find a store in this County that does have a sizeable variety of organic produce. I love how happy and helpful the employees are (example: I was using the self checkout and the "employee assistance needed" light started blinking while I was loading my bags of groceries into my cart & grabbing my wallet to pay. An employee arrived at and was already finishing clearing the alert before I even noticed my light was blinking!) BUT, they didn't have a lot of the items on my list. And that's a negative.

The store is doing pretty well. Since Weis took over for Food Lion, they had refurbished this store and the new layout looks nice. However, just like every former Food Lion the store has an odd layout which is non-typical for a grocery store. It makes it difficult to find things. I actually heard a couple of people commenting about the bizarre layout last time I was there.

I just left this Weis. The casheir was using so many plastic bags that I asked for him to just set items on the counter. He kept on bagging. I said in stronger voice don't put it in the bag. Next thing I know another employee is asking if the casheir was ok. She said out loud she did not want any trouble. All I wanted was to check out. I felt uncomfortable. May not ever go back.
