- first off this is not a standalone food place, it's attached to a gas station. Overall food is pretty good, everything was fresh for the most part.- service was off the day I went.- staff were not exactly the friendliest.- prices normal for the area.- had some open parking spots.- the root beer was probably the best part of everything. It definitely tastes different than buying it at the store or other places.- overall not a bad experience but also not the best.

For anyone who remembers the days when a trip to an A&W restaurant meant a good meal with high quality food will have a trip down memory lane. It had been well over 20 years since the last time I found an A&W restaurant in my area and they do not fail to impress. Even though this one is inside a gas station/ convenience store, it took me back to my younger years. Definitely a place to go to if you have the cravings.

Only the fries, drinks and ice cream are good. The rest of the food is too salty. What am I saying? Even the fries have a funky aftertaste. 🤣 Update: The fries got better.

We went to the drive thru at 7:10pm and were told by a guy that they were closed even though they are open till 8:30 He seemed to just not wanna do his job though. He told the person in line behind us the same and they left while we pulled into the parking lot to look up their hours, while doing that we noticed they were serving people inside, so I don't know what to make of that. We went out of our way after coming back from a 6 hour trip to get their food, just to be told their closed even though they were helping people inside. It made us upset and we left to eat elsewhere. Usually we have good and ok experiences there, but this time we didn't and we'll remember that.But just wanted to warn people that their hours posted may not be their actual hours depending on something.

I stop in every now and then for a great burger or a Rootbeer float. Always prompt service and well made food. During traffic it's a little busy getting into Callaway from Chancellors, but that just depends on the time of day.Bacon cheeseburger, crispy and fresh fries, and rootbeer. Perfection!!Wheelchair accessibility: I am handicap, but don't use a mobility device. There is parking and room in the gas station, but might be a bit crowded in the aisle for dine-in.

Service was quick but I ended up canceling my order. I only came in for draft rootbeer but was told they don't have that anymore even though it is on the menu. Even more discouraging I see mug root beer in the fountain selection. I gave 2 stars because staff was friendly and quick to take my order and dining area was clean.

The burgers, Cheese curds, hotdogs, etc is all good stuff, And the root beer floats are top notch. However the dine in area could be a little bit more clean.Drive through experiences vary. Sometimes service is snappy and quick, And some other days I find myself waiting at the drive through speaker-box for a prolonged moment. All in all not bad but could use some TLC here and there to improve experiences there.

We don't have an A&W where we live, so we drove about 2.5 hours to eat here. The food was really good. The employees seemed friendly enough. They had a really busy drive thru, so they were pretty tied up. This A&W was inside of a gas station, and the gas station wasn't the cleanest - so it makes sense that a shared dining room wouldn't be very clean (bugs).

Let me just say this, whoever made my food today YOU ARE AWESOME!!! My sliders with extra mayo and extra pickles were perfect and my cheese curds were freshly fried to perfection. And the young man that took my order was so polite and acted like he was happy to be there!!! Top notch food and service. Thank you!!!

The price on menu was not the price I was charge much higher and tax was higher than state amount of 6%. Also when gas price jump the workers took gas from customers by cutting the line for their gas. After having these issues and Inferior quality with the ice cream and service I choose not to patronize his business.

while a little pricey, it's definitely worth it for the root beer floats!!! the fries are sooooo good. burgers leave a little more to be desired, but for fast food can't complain. really great to have in the area!

Weren't sure what we were getting so we skipped the drive thru. Went in and stood there for a few minutes figuring out what we wanted. Once we figured it out we stopped up to the counter only to wait there for 5 minutes, yes it was 5 minutes and were never even acknowledged. They had at least four employees working one of which had walked over ti the counter 3 times. They had taken 2 drive thru orders in the time we stood there. We then decided it may be faster to go through the drive thru. We waited for 7 minutes with us being the third car from the order speaker without moving at all before we decided to leave. As we left there was only one car at the window and the two that were still at the speaker.

Showed up at 803pm with our little league softball girls who just finished their game nearby. The woman told me they were closed already. The website says they close at 830pm. I pointed out that the website says they weren't closed yet and she told us the website reflects summer hours. Thanks A&W

Absolutely love this place!!! Great customer service ! Gave me such nostalgic vibes with the root beer floats ! My Great Aunt Sheila used to make these for us all the time ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Tasty and crunchy burgers and delicious fries !!! Yummm but I still haven’t tried their floats yet! Only the Polar Swirl 😋😋😋 Hope you enjoy

A&W makes the best rootbeer floats around! The prices are low to moderate and they offer a fair-sized menu of burgers, hot dogs, and many other fast food items. Their burgers are excellent. True beef! And they offer an array of chili dogs, various hamburgers & cheeseburgers, and fries, along with many ice cream sundaes, shakes, fancy ice cream desserts, and more. All made-to-serve, which means waiting five minutes or so to buy but you’ll always receive hot, fresh sandwiches and ice cream treats! Callaway’s best-kept secret fast food restaurant!! It's attached to the gas station across the street from Weis Markets!

This appears to be the last A&W left in the state, and I sincerely hope it stays open because the food is always delicious. Burgers, chicken, and fish are all simple and satisfying, like the food stand cuisine you always look forward to at the county fair. Very tasty sides, too- don't sleep on the cheese curds. Obviously you would be foolish not to get a rootbeer float while you're here. It shares space with a gas station convenience store, so wait times vary depending on how busy the station is, but it's always worth the wait.

The food is good. I love the onion rings and cheese curds. The milk shakes are a little sweet to me. But I love the root beer freeze (blended float) and the chicken tenders are big and juicy. Not a cheap or fast, but good.

The root beer is of course great, especially when made as a root beer float! The burgers are good, fries are crispy, and the fried cheese curds are awesome! The service has always been great here. You can dine in or go through the drive-thru. Though it is in a gas station, the dining area is separated so no worries there. Definitely worth checking out.

This do sit on a convenient location. I bought chicken sandwiches here for a group and it was pretty salty. The fries are salty as well. I hope they read this review and hopefully fix their sandwiches.

This a&w have some really nice people that work for the a&w part of it. They really care how they treat there customers and what there customers experiences are like because every time I have been in this a&w to actually eat it has always been a very pleasant time and there employees have always been so nice and willing to help and very patience with me and my daughters with one of my daughters being extremely ADHD and is very hyper and it never seems to bother the employees or aggravated them with is a very good thing with a mother having a child like this because alot of times alot of places get very upset because of my child being so hyper and a little loud I really appreciate this a&w I definitely will be coming back many many more times
