So pleased! I put in an order for my daughter's party and asked for 2 dozen chocolate cupcakes with yellow icing. I mentioned it was a bee-themed party, so yellow like a bumblebee would be great! They suggested a patty cake as well for the birthday girl and said they would match the theme. I showed up the get my order and had the cutest bee cupcakes ready for me! Exceeded our expectations and will definitely be coming back!

I enjoy their pickup because it's not crazy busy but don't order a custom cake from their bakery, it was awful! From the poor design to the taste.

This is the best grocery store in the area. If you eat organic, this place also has the best selection of organic fruits and vegetables, however that isn't saying a whole lot since there is no place in St. Mary's that has a truely "good" selection. Organic fruit and vegetable prices are pretty good. Organic meat however is outrageously expensive here. They also have a decent selection of other random organic products (as compared to other grocery stores in the area).

Harris Teeter is usually our go-to for pizza. It’s affordable and easy to order through the app. Today, they were slipping— literally. It looks like they dropped the pizza box, since all of the cheese/toppings slid to one side. Instead of letting this go out as is, I would’ve been happy to wait for a redo. But I get it, it’s Friday and they’re usually slammed. It’s still really disappointing though.

Harris Teeter has a variety of high quality items. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There are a variety of freshly prepared food items from a salad bar, hot food bar, and chicken wing bar to sushi and bread made fresh daily.

I don’t mind paying more if I get a superior product. Yesterday the USDA choice filet mignon was very disappointing- $20/pound. $80 for 6 steaks. Unfortunately had to cut so much fat off when I got home to make them look like they should.Employees are always nice and Express Lane is convenient. I keep giving them another try because I want to love this place. And they always try to make things right but it’s very inconvenient to always have to make 2 trips to a store 20 minutes away to complain. Hoping someone in management reads this and makes some serious changes or they will be like all the other grocery stores in area.

Good variety of choices the Publix of Pax River. Placed an online order and the pocket qas very informative andaintaoned communication about out of stock items and alternatives she picked. I arrived late to get my items (all produce) and they had kept my order in the fridge. I was very impressed and happy. Well definitely use online shopping again!!

Great selection of food and friendly staff. It’s close to my home. Take advantage of the fuel points because there is a Harris Teeter sponsored fuel station close to the store

Donna Anthony came in as an instacart shopper. Couldn't scam my barcode what I needed to. They couldn't figure out how to move it to customer service. She started raising her voice and shouting at me when I was still calmly explaining to her to mind her tone that I just wanted to know why they couldn't give me a receipt so I can be on my way. She was rude to me. And she's the example for everyone to follow the general manager. Donna

I always find the best produce, amazing deals and helpful associates! Now, not only do they have parking spaces for shoppers with children, but they have carts with carseat holders! No more shoving groceries around a carseat or pulling a separate cart in order to get your entire list in 1 trip! Bravo Harris Teeter!!!

I am giving 5 stars! They are probably the same price as everybody else but by the time I left I had a huge smile! I was greeted by almost everybody, the whole store was clean and shiny. I often find myself picking through and examining meat and produce for the "best ones" but by the end of my trip I didnt feel like I had to because everything looked great! I am a Harris Teeter shopper from now on! Thanks to the whole staff for your friendliness and dedication to quality!

Great store with everything you need. Highly recommend getting the Harris teeter customer card. You can't get the deals without it. If you shop around and look for their sales it's a great place to shop. They have great pizza that they cook for you and they have a pretty good wing bar and Asian bar. Clean neat store that has great customer service.

12/2021: Ordered via app for deli (as shaving meats takes a bit). I arrived 5 minutes after I had scheduled my pick-up time. My order was not at the placement in front of the deli. I had to wait 15-20 minutes behind only 1 customer to ask about this issue.They had the one meat shaved perfectly (not in the area in deli pick-up), the other meat they said was not in stock but to try this other kind. I said I had a few more items to get and to shave this meat as well.In turn it was not shaved; was slabs so meat. I had to cut the meat myself when I arrived home to give to my elderly neighbor who has issues with chewing and digestion.I do like that they offered another type of similar flavor. What I frown upon is that the employee did not take their time to do the job correctly as asked.05/06/2020: Ordered Boar's Head Hard Salami... Lucky I noticed the casing was not removed. It should have been removed prior to slicing the item. In turn this can pose as a choking hazard, esp. to those I care for due to their disease processes. Photo below, thin sliced...but the casing issue.05/04/2020: Never an issue at any Harris Teeter my whole life. Always got the best of everything in HHI growing up... and was so happy it finally came to the area. But today not so much... As I do not just order ahead for myself but for others with special medical needs. Most of those I volunteer for have eating issues due to health matters and need their food prepared a certain way.Maybe I was a bad day with not "trained" staff, but shaved means shaved not thick slabs of meat. I help due to caring, in turn the order made those I care for wait extremely longer. I always order ahead for a certain bunch... I know and understand it takes time to shave/chip meats if no automatic machine is there.... But today whomever sliced the meats did so extremely wrong as I am posting photos. It is not just a job to work there, but others need that correct cut.So, I spent my day chopping meats and to a degree almost a puree to make sure my loved ones I care for would be able to eat something they enjoy.

Great place! Very clean! Amazingly friendly and helpful Staff! I love the food bars. There is a good quality selection there! I definitely recommend shopping here. You can even do your grocery shopping in the app and they will load your vehicle for you! Great place! Love it!

Harris teeter is always very clean, well lit and awesomely stocked. Expect to pay a bit more for an amazing selection though. You get what you pay for. I love this grocery store. It also features some fresh food bars and a daily event booth where they make food like omelettes in front of you.

This place is a blessing usually. Food is great quality. Not so much can be said for management. Not only Rude but forcing customers to pay with credit card and not having the option to pay in cash. Hope she had fun tossing my breakfast In the trash. Reverse racism lives on strong here. Employees don't seem to be thrilled with her either.

Yesterday, while shopping at Harris Teeter with my husband and three children, my six-year-old somehow got away from us we could not find him! I immediately, ran up to customer service and told them I could not find my son. The man immediately call his name on the speaker. He then informed all of his employees of what was happening, and he took every precaution possible. They even guarded the door! We found him he was scared, but he’s okay! I’m just very impressed and thankful on how the California Harris Teeter handled the situation! I will never hesitate to come back, knowing that the staff truly cares! Thank you

not sure what this store is turning into, but smell there is so bad, most of the fruits are covered in mold on the bottom, it’s just so bad, avocados most of time are so soft and rotten, so many products with mold, I’m surprised nobody check that. it used to be a good store, but ladies at the customer service are so rude, you can’t even ask them anything they almost yell at you back. not to mention that the prices are higher than Whole Foods market (they’re known to be expensive but HT beat that, imagine that!)

I have shopped at Harris teeter the past several years and am happy with the selection they have. There always seems to be some good deals going on. The seafood and meat department are great lots of fresh options.The produce sections ways looks good and they have samples available for you to look at the inside of the fruit prior to buying.The hot bars look like they have good food. The only thing that is odd would be the checkout lines. I find them slightly difficult, as you have to switch carts and sides to pay (which is difficult with your child in the cart).We will continue to shop here and are looking for to the large food selections.

After moving out of Northern VA to central VA I have been missing our local Harris Teeter. Where we live, we have a distribution center but no store locations. My kids live in Southern Maryland so I’m able to get my fix when I get the, from this location. There is a particular San Marzano crushed tomatoes brand that I use and HT is the only store that carries it. They also have a great selection of fresh meats that I will pick up as well. Clean, nice, bright store with friendly workers!

Harris teeter by far has the absolute best subs in the history of subs. I never in my 56 years, eaten such an amazing sub. I ordered a specialty which was the roast beef and pastrami and it gave me so much meat I was able divide it into six separate large pieces, I kid you not. They are AMAZING!! They didn't skimp on ANYTHING. So if you go for a sub just plan and know that you're going to be eating Very, Very, Very Well!! Hands down, The BEST SUB I have EVER had!! Thank you and God bless

Love shopping as harris teeter. Their sushi is good, they have wide selections of product. Prices can run high but the VIC sales are good. Plus you earn points for gas.

This is my favorite grocery store. They have a great selection, decent sales prices, and the staff are always friendly. I do wish they would add more than 6 self checkout lanes though, as normally only 3 staffed grocery lanes are open. What this does is cause congestion in the store that is completely unnecessary.

4 stars because although the store is clean & organized, some of the produce they have on display are already close to spoiling or have already spoiled and you don’t know until you bought it and use it at home. I’ve gone through 7 heads of garlic in just these past 2 weeks, had to keep going back and getting more because the ones I already got smelled so bad/had mold on the bottom/inside already. I really don’t know when this started happening bc it never used to be like that, I guess they’re trying to get rid of everything before the new year or something? Because every garlic batch now is terrible, can’t imagine the other stuff..
