In the California, MD. store it's a mess, the mainstream of products in the store aisles are not stocked or in disarray. Employees are unavailable or nonexistent, my observation as a customer is from the top leadership down NO ONE IS HELD ACCOUNTABLE!!! This store needs a District Manager visit and a audit of merchandise in all those boxes scattered throughout the store and in the storeroom. Please, help this store succeed!!!After being told a HQ Dollar Tree rep was on-site (1April on or about), have returned to this store various times and still the mess in the aisles, loaded storage racks throughout the store, yet many shelves are empty of products. The proof is in my photos attached...please, help this store align to the Dollar Tree standards of customer satisfaction.

Don't go. The store and bathroom is nasty dirty. Stockers block the isles so you can't shop. Mentioned it and Manager did nothing. She actually didn't apologize to me but apologized to the stocker. Horrible shopping experience. Won't go again

Great deals, absolutely everything is a dollar! Crazy long wait for checkout though! I only saw one employee, the cashier, the entire time. Could have just been a bad day. They would sell 10 times more stuff if they had a couple more employees and cashier's!!

This is my favorite store. I love it. Lots of good products and best of all it's only $1.00 everything's is good.. Nice worker's and a family friendly store...Stop and shop..

This Dollar Tree is awful. So messy, aisles are cramped with boxes or just stuff on the floor and the lines are always long. I saw the "we're hiring sign" hopefully things will improve soon!

$Tree San Succi plaza is a disaster and almost to the point of being unsafe. Boxes piled almost 6ft tall teeter on carts, shelves are empty, and what merchandise on the shelves is a mess.Staff do not attempt to eliminate long lines by opening registers.Avoid this store.

If I could give 0 stars I would. There was only 1 cashier. This was absolutely absurd! Several people came in saw the line and walked out. If I didn’t need what I had I would’ve walked out too!

I like Dollar Tree, in general. I mean, who doesn't like saving money? So, my rating is really in comparison to the other Dollar Tree stores that I've been to, like in Waldorf and Prince Frederick.Going to the other stores has shown me what a good Dollar Tree looks like. I don't know what is wrong with this location. I don't know if it's the management, or the employees, or it's cursed. I'm assuming there's an issue with employee retention, because it seems like I see new people every time I'm there. They don't keep the shelves stocked and nice looking. They'll have boxes, or carts with boxes on them, blocking the shelves. Or employees stocking shelves who are rude. They'll have one line open and people lined up to the back of the store. Unlike Waldorf, which will have multiple lines open. I can say that usually the cashiers are nice, even though I'm sure they're very overwhelmed. And then there are the times where they had a piece of paper taped to the door stating what time they closed that day.I still go here sometimes, since I make min wage and I'm trying to save money. But, dang, it just makes me sad going in there at times.

Today was an awful this store was clean. Shelves are empty. Stock setting on carts stacked no one stocking to shelves, coolers were empty hardly anything in them this was one of the worse time that I have had in this store.Check out was much better I took the cashier fur ever to open up a plastic bag much less checking us out.In all the dollars trees that I have go to this is the worse.And I must say there isn’t any order at all.

Thanks Google for asking how the dollar tree was.The line was wrapped around the store. Over 15 people in line with one cashier. The lady who I assume is the manager came out of the office. Looked at the line and went back in her office rather than providing service to the long line of customers. She didn't have a care in the world to take any of the stress off the one guy at the register. He deserves better management.

I was just in this Dollar Tree location and let me just say they it’s like a new store. I absolutely love that the aisles are not cluttered with product to be put on the floor. You could literally walk down every aisle and it is organized. This location looks like they worked a lot of hours getting it to this point. Thank you to the staff for cleaning up this location.. Looks Great! I will definitely continue to come and shop at this location! And I did make it a point to let Tahesha (sales associate) know that the store looks great.

Store is much cleaner than in previous visits. Still only one cashier. She seemed very frazzled and did not greet me or speak to me at all. The stock guy helped me get something down from a high shelf very helpful. Overall better experience also better selection and better organization. Would have given 5 stars if not for not such a great cashier experience.

This location is not one of my favorite Dollar Trees in my area. The hours are not consistent, they are very short staffed and the manager was overworked. The Isles were very hard to get down because of large amounts of stock not being put on the shelves. It is a shame and I don't blame the workers or manager I blame the corporate managers for not staffing this location properly because it is the only DOLLAR TREE in St.Marys County which is a large area. And the area it is located in is a large military base community and low income family home area, so they are always extremely busy, so I think that the upper management needs to hire more managers and staff to keep up with the stocking and attending registers. I have noticed this at every DOLLAR TREE I have visited in the tri state area of MD/DC/VA area during the last year. Very very long lines to check out because of only having one register open at all times 90%of time. And with people being out of work or making less money we are forced to having to save as much as possible. With that being said, I am sure that the stores are selling more items and making more money, so why don't they hire more help?? I feel terrible for the employees because of customers being upset at the long waits to check out and taking it out on the cashiers!! It's not their fault, and they are only one person and doing the best they can. So please remember this when you visit these stores and do not take it out on the clerks but complain to the store owners and corporate.

This is the dirtiest and most unorganized dollar tree that I have ever been to. The staff have no customer service skills, there are empty shelves in every isle even the ones with so much stuff on the floor you can't even get down it. Then the amount of unattended uboats filled with products. This store is a safety hazard. I have been a few times before leaving a review and it seems to be only ever getting worse not better.

Huge difference in this store. Awesome job!!! No more clutter in the isles even a wheelchair can go down the isle, where before it was impossible. Shelves look great, nice and full of products. Employees are very friendly. High fives to all! Will come back again.

This location stresses me out. In the 6 years I have been coming here I only had one good experience where the shelves were stoked and the aisles where clean. I will just wait to go to a different dollar tree out of this area from now on.

The California ,MD is Number 1 on my list of worst retail establishment locations.Start off by saying that the cashiers are nice and they are just doing their job. So this review is on management.1. Please hire more people or learn how to schedule them in.. there are multiple boxes all over the floor space. This is a trip hazard and makes it difficult to shop.2. Why do you guys close before posted hours.went there today at 2:45 pm and there was a sign saying closed and it will be closed tomorrow as well.. no other store just packs up and shuts down for the day. I’m assuming that there isn’t enough employees to fill the schedule.3.. hire more people, the lines are always long and the cashiers do their best, but there’s only so much that they can do..4. Stop closing early for no reason.. hire more workers or ask if another store can send over some workers. I have never seen an establishment close just because.Lastly, replace the management.. I have been to over 30 dollar trees across many states and this is by far the worst..To the cashiers, thanks for putting up with the horrible work experience.. I appreciate you.

This is one of the most poorest manage Dollar Trees I've ever been in. It has a dirty feeling it's not a clean store whatsoever and half the time the store is understaffed. Many times I've comms to the store at 5 6:00 7 in the evening and the store has already closed for the day with a note stating the store was closed. And good luck checking out because it's store usually only has one person to check out a line of people many times I've been in the store and the line has been all the way down the aisle and I have put my items down and I try to come back honestly I can't stand the store but occasionally I have to go there

All the staff are friendly but I can feel how exhauted they are. Please hire more employees. Maybe atleast 3 dedicated at the register, 2-3 ONLY dedicated to arrange the stocks display. Everytime I visit the store, I can no longer find the stuff I need because of all the boxes on the floor. Feels like everyday is delivery day 😔 I check last year’s reviews and no complain regarding these so i’m thinking because of the pandemic this store hasnt recover yet? I will update my review whenever I see some change. Thank youUpdate: April 2021Visited today and the store is way more better. I compromised an employee for doing a great job organizing the summer stuff and employee mentioned they have a new management /manager and goal is to make the store organize. im so surprize and happy! If I could give this location zero stars I would. The management here is horrible, they talk to the employees any kind of way. The store is always so messy and unorganized which is a really big safety hazard. As we all know we are going through a pandemic but the store does not require customers to wear masks which is mandatory in the state right now. They do not even offer wipes or anything to sanitize the carts before you use them. The store is never well stocked and it seems like I can never find anything that I am looking for. This store really needs better management. I will never shop here again.

Busy as ever... but my favorite store for the holiday stocking stuffers. Lots of nick nacks and snacks. Just wish the store was more organized and stocked like the one in Prince Frederick. You can not shop because boxes in the aisles. Need space for the long lines to pay for your purchases. You cannot shop if the people/ lines are in the aisle taking up space. When I am shopping please get out my way...LOL MOVE,GET OUT THE WAY!!! No matter what I will be back the next day looking for what's new. Got to go so See you tomorrow...

I was in need of 30 handled mason jars but our store had none (neither did Waldorf or Prince Frederick) and I wouldn't have enough time to order them. The store manager called around and found some in Laurel, MD. She drove there and picked them up for me, on the weekend, during her time off. AMAZING customer service! I'm so grateful!

I am currently standing in a line that reaches halfway down an isle which is half of the length of the store....because there is one register open. There is another associate walking around the registers playing with balloons. There is a manager in the office with another associate who CLEARLY saw the line but they proceeded to close the door. The other associate came out, and again ignored the line of customers. At this point, the line reaches to the back of the store. One of the associates clocked out and proceeded to make the manager aware of the problem, but she ignored her and continued her conversation in the office with the manager. This is ridiculous!!! As a former manager of a huge company, I am baffled by the lack of customer service skills that this team has failed to display. I feel horrible for the one young lady/cashier named Shawnita (a slim lightskinned girl) who gave excellent customer service and continued to work regardless of how much stress she was put under...as she was the ONLY ONE actually working. The management team and area manager need to fix this problem ASAP! We shop at this store regularly and I will not continue to shop here if this is the type of service they choose to give...or should I say lack thereof!

Normally everything goes great in this store. Today there was a man working registers who apparently needs to finish his customer service training. He spent more time trying to insult people instead of just being nice.Love this store but no need for rudeness from anyone

As a student I was looking for colored index cards and cases for them. Did not find what I was looking for so I opted for a pencil box and a small file folder with pockets. I know they usually carry them so I will visit next week. Everything costs $1.25 except for candy bars and smaller items.
