Great exotics shop wonderfully located in the tristate area of WV, WV, & MD. Has a wide variety of animals, enclosures, accessories, and feeders. The owners are extremely knowledgeable and go out of their way to make sure that you are happy with your purchases and that care is given in matching up animals with their potential adopters. The shop is constantly being cleaned and animals are always provided the freshest food. I commented one day about the large fridge that is always supplied with fresh veggies and fruits from the local grocery store that the animals in there eat healthier than I do.

Visited yesterday to pick up a lot of dirt and supplies for a Stimson Python enclosure. I was so happy with the experience! They had everything I needed, helped me carry everything to my car (four huge bags!) and I was able to get a bunch of other supplies I didn't even realize I could pick up there. Staff were knowledgeable, personable, and really helpful. I wish I didn't live an hour away, because this would be my go-to supply store!

Such an awesome find! Like a mini reptile expo complete with rodents, birds, and tarantulas! Stocked with feeders and lighting and enclosures and everything you need for your pet!Staff was amazing! Went above and beyond to answer questions and meet my needs without judgement and with genuine desire to help and educate!I even was able to replace my superworms on the day the store was closed! Above and beyond with the accommodations!I would recommend this shop 1000000%

My family and I really like this store, the selection of animals is good and the place is always clean when I have been there. The owners have always been polite and very helpful when it comes to my animals that I have purchased there and the animals that I have purchase elsewhere. The owners are helpful, honest and friendly. All of my questions have been answered. I would recommend this store to anyone looking .

This place is an absolute joke. Me and my family used to come here constantly when it first opened , but clearly time has made this place excessively worse. The enclosures for the animals are worse than petcos, and the owner is a nut job that takes in free good health animals off a face book group ( that states its not to be done ) and resells them. We have bought a pet ( not feeder ) mouse that the owner stated was breeded by her to be fluffly and cute, while fluffy , he was genuinely on the verge of death and died less than 2 days later despite my efforts. He was tiny, despite stated him being full grown and just how “ their bred “ , and had a literal missing eye that shouldve atleast been discussed with me i think before paying $15 for a mouse. Not to mention the fact if you get super worms from here, or any feeder that comes in bulk wuanity, your getting ripped off!! I bought 100 super worms multiple times , all including various amounts and or majority dead ( as well as coming in a bag similar to ones petco uses for fish ?? With no ability for the worms to breathe. ) theres also this really gross display of unprofessionalism, im not the type to bash others for what they enjoy and such, but the one employee , River, is barely dressed and it makes me, and my children uncomfortable, and full heartedly i can say i would still probably be there if it wasnt for this display being presented here. A sports bra or crop top , and booty shorts i feel are not proper attire for a pet store that children often visit, and affar from the personal preferences, i feel that working with these kinda of animals more bare skin than necessary is dangerous, and i truly hope they do begin using t shirts and such atleast for safety. I would not recommend unless you absolutely have to come here for a specific feeder.

I visited wild exotics with my partner to buy terrarium supplies and we were both very disappointed the standard of animal care. To start, there was a strong smell of ammonia. We saw algae-filled water bowls, moldy food, and cages that clearly had not been cleaned in a long time. One juvenile boa had 3+ feces in its small cage, which really struck me due to how infrequently that species poops. Even if it had been pooping daily, that's still at least three days where feces had not been removed from the tank. As someone who works in animal care myself, I know I would have gotten in serious trouble if I left our enclosures anything like the ones I saw at Wild Exotics. Several of the lizards and geckos looked dehydrated, with one bearded dragon looking particularly sickly. Lastly, I realize that pet store containers are temporary and are often smaller than what the animal requires, but keeping pacman frogs in deli-cups for anything longer than transport is ridiculous.Their terrarium products are priced well and the staff was polite, but I don't think we'll be returning soon.

If I could give ZERO stars I would.. I Purchased a $500 Tegu from Wild Exotics LLC in Brunswick 11 days ago for my son, they included everything THEY said we needed which it turns out we needed more, whatever that’s fine we got it elsewhere. (I feel like as a pet store owner / worker they would be more knowledgeable about the animals they are selling.) Woke up to it dead this morning. My husband took the lizard and the receipt back into the store and they could not do anything to remedy the situation, called his wife and I guess they came to the agreement they could give us $100 off another Tegu, why they would think we’d purchase something else with no health guarantee is absurd. I’d steer clear of this establishment, expensive lesson to be learned.They also placed the blame on us for its death. After we did everything THEY told us to do. Think twice before you get such an expensive animal from this establishment that does not guarantee the health of its animals.Employees do not know the care required of the animals they sell asked questions and got answers like “ I believe or I’d have to look” glad I did my own research as well.

My 7 year old recently found out axolotl are real and wanted to see one up close. We found out about this shop after asking in our neighborhood group where we might find one. The owner was working and was so kind, she took time to talk to us, educated us on a number of the animals and let us pet the micro squirrels who were in hiding when we tried to catch a glimpse. I felt so bad taking her time when we didn’t come in planning to make a purchase, but I truly appreciated it. My daughter is fascinated by animals and recently into reptiles but has only experienced them via YouTube videos. She wanted so badly for a snake to come out! The owner opened the glass enclosure so we could get a better look at the large boas. I certainly didn’t want to ask her to take one out, I know that could be stressful to the animals and we had no intention to take a snake home so it was unnecessary to get any more up close. The parrots are absolutely gorgeous. There were hog nose snakes, something I had never heard of and they had the cutest little nose. We saw a scorpion, tarantulas, chameleons, tortoises, it was almost a zoo experience! The owner even let my daughter use a step stool to see in enclosures too high for her line of sight. I could have stayed there all day admiring & learning about every creature.We will definitely go back once we do some research and adopt from Wild Exotics. The micro squirrels won me over with their cuteness but the store won me as a customer with their patience and kindness.

Such a cool store! Owner was extremely kind and talked to me at least an hour! It felt as though she has a real passion for these animals and it's not just a job. So many beautiful snakes! Many other animals too. There were some animals there I have never seen in my life! Now I wish I had taken pictures! They have recently moved into their new store so it was in the middle of being organized. I wish it was a little closer but it was totally worth the drive from Hagerstown! Recommend anyone in a 2-hour radius to call them up they're looking for a particular exotic animal. I got to hold and fall in love with a healthy blue tongue skink. I knew it wasn't quite the right time for me to invest in another animal but now know a good place to go to when I'm ready. Check it out!

It was a pleasant surprise visiting Wild Exotics. As a person who has been in the reptile hobby for many years. I was disappointed when moving to Maryland, and finding that there was very little in the realm of stores catering to the reptile keeping hobby. Wild Exotics is definitely changing that. All the animals Alanna has available and in her person collection look very healthy and happy. It is clear she has a passion for the hobby. I would recommend this store over any other store in Maryland for reptilerelated needs. It was definitely worth the long drive and I plan on returning in the future.

This store does have a huge variety of animals. You can get just about any exotic animal you want here. But I am surprised by the good reviews. I first came on the grand opening and the snakes were cramped and fighting for hides. I decided to give it a second chance, and went back again, figuring they overstocked for their grand opening. But this time, it was really dirty. The skink’s food was rotten and had ants all over it. There was a dead axolotl floating in its tank. I think there are just too many animals for the staff they have. We were going to get a tarantula here, but decided to wait and get one from an expo.

I get this is a pet store so space is limited and animals will be in smaller enclosures.Having multiple adult snakes in the same tank is a huge red flag and no hides being in a few of the enclosures is also a bad look. Almost all of ball pythons are going through a horrible shed, their skin is dry, and they're dehydrated. I saw atleast one of the snakes have wounds from the live feeder mice. I have seen much better husbandry at big box stores such as Petco/Petsmart. I would not shop here unless they take better care of the animals.

Just stopped by today after a disappointing outing at another local reptile store. Absolutely AMAZING experience. The amount of time, care, and knowledge the owners and caretakers employ is admirable. I highly recommend this shop over any others in the entire state. I feel completely at ease in getting any animals, supplies, or advice from this store.

The staff are super friendly and willing to help you find just what you need. They have wide variety of items that you won’t find at a typical pet store, and are reasonably priced for a small business. They have some adorable tortoises roaming around the shop too.

This is an amazing place to shop. I have gotten multiple pets from here and they are all doing great. I used to shop at another local reptile store but the smell turned me away so I did most of my shopping online. This place is clean, organized, decently priced, and everyone in the store is always so friendly and willing to answer any questions that I have.

Amazing and wonderful people! Knowledgeable on the animals, they take amazing care and ensure they work with the animals to keep them tame and healthy. Prices are beyond fair, and they have a way bigger selection at half, or even more than half of the cost anywhere else you were to shop. Add the fact that they are local, you couldn't ask for a better place to be outside of heaven. Recommended to everyone I know and then some (:

I went into Wild Exotics yesterday seeking help for a a Veiled Chameleon I got from pet smart and was having some health issues with. I brought my little guy and they helped me get him situated without charging me. They are very, very knowledgeable and truly care. There Chameleons are beautiful, and are very friendly folks. They gave me suggestions on what feeders to use and precautionary steps to take for my enclosure. I trust them 110% and they truly want the best for their animals and customers. Thank you guys!!
