I have been going to BAH for over 20 years. We have moved twice and I still make the now 45 minute drive. Dr Kane is so knowledgeable and kind, she treats my babies as if they were her own! The staff is so compassionate and also very helpful! When you call they are quick to answer and when there’s an emergency they will always fit you in!! We love BAH, Dr Kane and all the staff!!

Have received exceptional service and care from BAH. I have never had to wait more than a couple minutes for my appointment to begin, all of the staff are friendly and helpful. They were able to perform a delicate procedure to remove a mass that another vet did not feel comfortable doing. A year later, we still have our wonderful kitty. Highly recommend this vet.

Dr. Laura Kane is the most amazing vet doctor we have experienced among the many vets that have treated our dog in the course of her life so far. Not only does she attend to the pets needs but also takes responsibility of any situations of the owner that may cause limitations in the treatment of the pet. She is thorough, extremely knowledgeble, and patient with questions. Its a blessing to have her as your vet.

Brookeville Animal Hospital is the absolute best in the area. Dr. Rowan is fantastic - extremely knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. The staff is helpful, responsive and friendly. Prior to Brookeville, vet visits for us were incredibly stressful with our high anxiety dog. Now we are able to get him excellent care without any of the stress. I can't recommend Brookeville highly enough.

Dr. Kane was great. She thoroughly discussed Dalton’s treatment plan. She called me several times that evening to follow up to make sure that Dalton was OK. She even called the next morning. Great experience!

We recently started going to Brookeville Animal Hospital for the care of our two cats. Their previous vet had gotten difficult to schedule with and expensive! Boy are we glad we made the change. The staff at Brookeville is very friendly and you can tell they're all animal lovers. Same with the vets, very friendly and competent. We've seen Dr. Kane and Dr. Rowan so far and they were both thorough and caring about the well being of our pets. They don't upsell you on services and their prices are reasonable. Appointments are easy to schedule and they are accomodating with being seen quickly. I would highly recommend Brookeville Animal Hospital for the care of your pet.

Brookville animal hospital has a team of veterinarians and receptionists that work extremely effectively as a team. They always call back promptly and always consider your animals health. I was reluctant about certain vaccines to give my dog because I had a cat named Uzi Maki whom I loved, that died after a rabies vaccine mixed with other vaccines. He had asthma, and my family took him to a bad animal hospital for treatment during an asthma attack. Instead of helping his asthma, that other animal hospital gave him all these vaccines at one time during his ashtma attack, sent him home, and he died the very next day. I had to bury him. Brookville animal hospital would not have done that. They are patient with me and don't judge the choices I make for my best friend as a first time dog owner. They politely suggest preventive treatment and offer facts to support treatment options. I opted not to get all vaccines for my dog at one time, and they respected my decision. I see now that my dog is able to get multiple shots at once because she is strong and healthy... the past experience with Uzi Maki made me reluctant. They always consider my opinion on options for my dogs health, and they know how to talk to me and my dog. My best friend is healthy and thriving because of them. They have always been here for us. Happy that we selected Brookville as our Vet. Recommended by a friend, our first impression was with the office staff who have been consistently helpful and compassionate. The vets have all been thorough and proficient in addressing our animal's needs. A surprise was how caring they all are and the degree of follow up, checking on the animals and ensuring treatment is effective. There is a degree of empathy and caring here we have not experienced at other practices.Brookeville will go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable with treatment/services and that your animal gets the best possible care. I have used them for years and they are great! BUT I only found out how great they really were about 4ish years ago when I decided to get a puppy only to find out she was a Million dollar baby! From 2 month old to 3.5 years old we have dealt with many obstacles from belly issues to more belly issue to them recommending a wonderful GI vet then we THOUGHT we were in the clear for a few month until my lovely pup got canine papilloma virus in her EAR of all places to 1 surgery at an ER vet to another surgery at Brookville which went amazing THOUGHT we were in the clear again and guess what the virus grew down into the ear canal which we found at the follow up from surgery. They referred us to an ear doctor which referred is to a dermatologist. We FINALLY went back to Brookville this weekend for our usually annual exam and with a CLEAN bill of health.Dr. Lyons / Dr. Rowan / Dr. Kane / Dr. Stemper and their team were by our side EVERY step of the way!! When they say it takes a village to raise a child! I have that with Brookeville Animal Hospital! I can not thank them ENOUGH for dealing with ME and my crazy pup!!

Having a nervous cat they worked fast, but were calm. Kitty calmed down and decided vet appointments aren’t that bad after all. This was a surprise- instead of a stressful visit to the vet it was pleasant all around!

This is the place to go if you want the best in pet care in or around Montgomery County. We have brought 5 of our precious pups there over the past 23 years, & without exception, have always gotten the finest care, hands down...BUT...bring your wallet, 'cause they charge additionally for this high level of care!I know that I should be grateful, & shouldn't complain, but just the other day, one of my pups wasn't feeling like himself...not eating, acting a little lethargic, so we called to get him in for a look see...no problem...they had 1 appointment left...great. We got a call 2 minutes later telling us that there'd be an extra "$20 emergency fee" charged for that last, same day appointment.I find this offensive that, on top of their top priced services, they have to "add on" this extra fee.Their R/X charges are very high as well, often as much a 3 & 4 times what reputable, on line company's charge. This takes away from the positive, caring nature of the local, "family" practice as I have always know it to be, & makes me feel like it's just another business trying to increase their bottom line. I'm sorry to have to say this, but it's just how I feel when something like this occurs. My poor pup isn't feeling well...and they have to "add on" fees to their already top shelf office visit charges. I know that I shouldn't take it personally but...It has just come to my attention, that this once very traditional, local, hands on, "family" practice, was bought out about 5 years ago by a North American conglomerate called VetCor, a $66 million dollar a year giant in the veterinary care industry.Now I understand this a little better...leave it to BIG BUSINESS to mess up a great thing...Fantastic service, skilled practitioners... high end billing practices...you have to decide...

We have a large, reactive dog and a second more easy going dog (also large), and so we used to have a vet who came to our house for routine exams and vaccines. Whenever we have an issue that requires an actual visit, we go to Brookeville. They are all awesome, and during the Covid pandemic the changes they made to the check in protocol are really smooth and helpful. They are all so professional, at every level, it is a pleasure to bring the dogs in. Dr. Melza is our go-to surgeon and she is always helpful and answers all my questions. I can tell that each Brookeville team member values my pets and that gives me a great sense of comfort, even though the pups themselves are anxious about a visit. Brookeville always gives me great confidence that my dogs are being carefully looked after no matter what! my two thumbs and all 8 paws up!!

Don’t come here for routine care. I am not complaining about the care we have received. It’s been very good, hence the three stars, but the overcharging at this office is so extreme it causes me to question whether the vet actually cares about the animals or about the animals of people so rich they don’t blink at $86 per single dose of vaccines. We were quoted up to $1,000 for a spay of a 12 lbs dog. I knew I thought that was ridiculous, so I started looking at other options, ALL of which were at least several hundred cheaper for the top estimate. Imagine my surprise when the initial visit, vaccines, and pre-surgery bloodwork came to over $1,000 as well! I wish I had known these prices in advance. I could have paid less than half that without driving more than ten minutes or using a low-income clinic. I don’t like seeing hardworking people taken advantage of because of how much we love our pets and trust veterinarians in general. This place’s price gouging is just wrong.If you have an emergency and are more concerned with quality than cost, maybe it would be worth paying three times more for peace of mind that you got excellent care. Otherwise, go somewhere that won’t take half to all of your paycheck in one routine visit.
