I have been taking my furbaby Noah here since he was a puppy. From beginning to end the vet has been absolutely wonderful. My dog has gotten into different issues over the course of 2 years and the vet was spot on with addressing his issues with compassion, and patience. God bless this team. Thank you Brentwood !

This place was able to get me in for a last minute urgent care check up. However they don’t let you go back into the examination room with your pet, which is unusual to me. They also entered my cats vaccination records incorrectly. They did a good job with treating my cat but I’m going to plan to go to a different vet where I can see my cat get examined and be there to support her.

I had to change my review. I was happy during my initial experience until I came back for a checkup for my first cat, and a vaccination for my second cat.This office decided to administer vaccination for the first cat before the due date while he was taking antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection and eye infection; my second cat was due for a vaccination.Before the first cat’s vaccination, he was taking medication and was getting much better and was back to his normal outgoing self. After the vaccination, my cat’s symptoms returned to an even worst state. My second cat is fine, as she was before.I brought my first cat back the doctor so that they could examine him but because I left the medicine at home (by accident) the doctor placed the blame on me and assumed that I wasn’t giving him the medication (by the way, this office requests bringing any/all medication along with medical records to every appointment with your animal,no matter how many times that same animal has visited). I’m starting to believe that my first cat should’ve never received vaccination while on medication for a current issue.They offered to prescribe him stronger medication and x rays, however this is now doubling the cost of what I paid for to get the medication needed for the first cat initially.

Lovely space with friendly front desk and doctors! Got a lucky same day appt and my cat treated for ~30 min. It's also pretty affordable. The visit fee is $65 and the anul gland work is $40. With other medicines, I spent less than $200 while I got a >$1k quote from another vet clinic chain. Will stay here for future checks definitely!

Over priced and will scam you. I went to get the rabies vaccination for my dog. Wanted the three year rabies vaccination, was told that they carry it. But then gave him the one year one and said that he was unable to get it due to his vaccination being expired. Being in the medical field and having veterinary parents this is not an actual excuse. I believe it was due to them wanting me to come in next year to pay more money for the next rabies vaccine. I also went to get my dogs teeth cleaned there prior and they added over a couple hundred dollars to the total. These were on expenses he didn't need. Was able to get the couple hundred dollars taken off but it was defiantly a process.

My 2nd time boarding my baby there. He was very relaxed, not anxious, the tech were fabulous, front desk Heather great. I had to extend his day due to the bus emergency.Staff etc eased my anxiety.They deserve higher than a 4.0. So I will give them a 4.9.

In this clinic they scam you. I made 2 visits with my cat who was sick. They never told me what he had because they wanted to get as much out of me as they could. They supposedly did blood tests of which they never sent me the results. Then they wanted to charge me x ray because supposedly They didn't know what my cat could have and they don't care about the animals but rather the money they can get from you. My cat died and they did nothing to help my cat just because I didn't pay them to do it xray

I had a hard time locating a place to have my pup treated for a broken leg. I sat down and called several vets. I’m distress many turned down helping. I sat down for hours calling places and no one seemed to be able service my pup. I’m not Sure if it seemed to be a risk or not because I wasn’t told why they “couldn’t” help specifically. This hospital show nothing but love, care and support. They were unbiased towards me and my Pup. And gave us the upmost respect. I’ll always remember and appreciate that. No matter the outcome of my pup, our family schnauzer, checkers , will never forget them.

I went today because my pup has some sort of an ear infection. I made an appointment originally for Tuesday I believe and paid a $69 deposit to hold the spot. I canceled it because it looked like he was getting better and they said they would just hold it in my account in case I decided to use them again in the future. I went today and the doctor was in the waiting area speaking so loudly with another person but I had such a hard time hearing the person at the front desk. They still require mask use but don’t have a sign anywhere until you actually enter. They are nice enough to provide one if you don’t have one with you. I completed new patient forms and then was asked for his records which I was able to forward to their email. Then when the tech came out and asked me in the waiting area all his medical history I responded but realized that I wasn’t going to be allowed in the exam room with him. If people are wearing masks properly there is no reason they can’t be in the same room together. I will not take my pet to a vets office where I’m not allowed in. I understood when the pandemic started and we didn’t know much but we are educated now on how to safely gather. I don’t know these people and am not just going to trust my pup being taken without me being there. As a pet “parent” we are their biggest advocates especially since they can’t speak. They can keep my deposit but I won’t be going back.

During my last visit at this vet, the veterinarian diagnosed my dog with a collapsing trachea. No X-rays were taking to confirm this diagnosis; however my dog was prescribed medications (with adverse effects of pneumonia) and I was told to try out the medication and bring my dog back in a week to "see if the condition improved". Without any further information about the issue the vet proceeded to walk away. After requesting to speak with the veterinarian before leaving, I asked the vet for a ballpark estimate of how much the surgery would cost to rectify the issue. The vet asked me if I had "won the lottery" or "came from a rich family" before assuming that I would not be able to afford the surgery by responding with "well then you probably can't afford it anyway", which was condescending and unprofessional. I took my dog to another provider out of state, and received better care, and compassionate treatment for my dog, and found out that it was not a collapsing trachea after all and was seasonal allergies.

We have been using this vet and this organization for years. They take GREAT care of our dog. Chows are not easy and our Gracie loves them - the groomer is thoughtful and sweet with her and the Vet is always communicative and easy to work with, I recommend them highly. I hate to board any animal but sometimes it's necessary - the care they take of Gracie is top notch. That allows my time away some ease that I am not worried about her. Thanks everyone!

I took my Doberman puppy here for a consultation on 6/13/22 I found most of the safe to be pleasant but they did not seem to be confident in their ability to properly sculpt my puppies ears essentially stating he would not be able to have show ears because they would fall. After research, speaking to the breeder and a knowledgeable vet they assured me that the information I was told was false. Not only they were asking 1,250 for the service which is outlandish. Ears cropping is normally between $300-$600. The price of the service was going to be more than the price of a Doberman puppy!

Wow, you will be overcharged and less treatment than you require. It’s a money grab. The location is the most positive feature.I actually came in 3 times. I had to purchase Groupon (2x) for the issue I came in for, wasn’t resolved, still isn’t resolved. If the Groupon purchased didn’t cover a exam for the issue I came in for, you could’ve said at that time ( when I booked the appointment) not when I get there. The price for mites and fleas are not covered in a routine exam, but I thought theses were routine issues.Shame on you for trying to throw shade on my method of paymentBy the way tell ALL of the front desk people that clients can purchase single doses of Revolution, instead of telling the client you have to purchase a minimum of three. I shouldn’t have to go back and forth on the policies, prices and procedures.Make this the last time you respond back. There is no need for rebuttal. Be honest and forthright. Our family has lived here for more than 90 years!

Amazing vet! I found this vet office as I was looking for one that was close to my home in NE DC. As a first time cat owner, I wanted to make sure I wouldn't get overcharged for care & be given the best care for my Boozy. After our first visit after her adoption, I came home elated over the experience. Every time we have come back, the vet techs & vets always remember her. The rates and pricing are very reasonable and the staff is always extra caring. I'd recommend them to every pet parent I know in the area!

Well, the doc and his staff were all very nice. However, I and my family wonder if the diagnosis we got for our mixed breed - chihuahua, beagle, min dachshund - was correct. He hurt his back left leg and was limping and fairly lethargic for one day. We took him to see this vet just in case (our reg. vet was booked up). The vet diagnosed a partially torn ligament in the knee, did X-rays, gave us meds, and warned that hour dog needed to stay inactive for a while b/c he get get full blown torn ligament (=3k). Got him home and he was running, jumping, full of his usual energy. No more limp. He is still fine days later. We think the diagnosis was incorrect. Don’t know if it was intentional or just incompetence. I am sorry to say that we cannot recommend this vet.11.18.22 Response to passive aggressive reply to my review: My father, Thomas Smith, brought our dog, Zorro, in for the appointment. I am Ian van Nuys and I wrote the review based on what my father told me about the appointment. The fact that you put my last name in quotes indicates you think I am some sort of fraud. I am hopeful the expertise of 40 years of ear crop surgeries is incorrect and your dobies win Westminster!I wish you and your pet's all the best of luck with a $300 ear crop.”I’d love to know why your vet with 40 years of experience was pushing me to make an appointment our entire visit up until I walked out the door for a surgery he recommends against for my puppy? I’d also love to know why with 40 years of experience he wasn’t able to guarantee they would stand and couldn’t preform a long style even though that is standard for the breed. As for an update since you wish the best for my puppy I’m happy to see inform you we took him to Annapolis veterinary and wellness and they were able to successfully sculpt his ears long with laser sculpting procedure at a lower cost with a guarantee they will stand.

I was very appreciative that Brentwood Animal Hospital were able to see us when our normal vet could not. The practice is very efficiently run. The employees are very communicative. The vet care we receivef was excellent. They will now be our new vet. There are only two "negatives"; the parking is not the easiest, and the practice is in a converted house and doesn't have the best floor plan. However, they make it work. We were seen in a timely manner and I have rarely seen any service so efficiently run. There is an overflow parking lot so parking is certainly adequate. Most importantly though, the level and quality of care has been excellent. I highly recommend them.

Wonderful and caring staff! Affordable cost! They take excellent care of my cats. I love these guys! Also, My beloved Maltese, Bella is very, very difficult in any situation with strangers. She loves me, but that's about it. Brentwood has done a fantastic job taking care of her & makes her feel safe. I know because when she comes home, she acts like it's been a great adventure and she's conquered the world. I'm grateful to their staff.

Avoid this place like the plague. It's chaotic. The staff are unprofessional. They are confrontational. And they are dishonest. I had brought my cats here multiple times. Every single time I visited, I noticed that other customers were having a loud dispute over billing with the veterinarian Dr. Manzoor, or with his reception staff, or with his office manger "Michael." It was always the same complaint - the customer was initially misled as to the price of the veterinary services. The whole operation seems like a grift with different staff members playing "good cop, bad cop." And Dr. Manzoor publicly berates his staff members, which is unprofessional. Something is clearly rotten in Denmark in this place. The written invoices themselves are rather opaque and often inaccurate.The final straw was when I brought my mother's cat in for a bath. The cost ended up being over $300, which was not the original price cited to me. My mother's cat was over-sedated during the procedure, and could not walk straight for more than three days. Also, when I picked up my mother's cat, it took 20 minutes for the staff to locate him! And they even brought out the wrong animal (a dog!), instead of my cat. Essentially they had mixed up animal names. It's always like this - bedlam and chaos, followed by open recriminations among staff. Moreover, when my 70-year old mother called by phone simply to ask a few questions about the invoice, "Michael" the office manager suddenly and without provocation screamed at her. She was only asking for more specifics concerning the opaque invoice. But this is what they do - they routinely bully patients and scream at them, as a form of intimidation. I have witnessed this multiple times. In conclusion, stay away from this practice. Brentwood Animal Hospital overcharges its customers. It is the most chaotic veterinary practice in the DC area.

I bought my puppy to this place and the staff is very nice and understanding but the vet..one word RUDE. This guy kept coming back and forth in the room to ask me questions then go openly discuss it in the next room with the nurses, never came and explained what was happening but INSISTED that I pay $1500 medical bill and allow my dog to stay over night. When I explained to him that I didn’t have 1500 at the moment he blatantly told me I need to make a decision fast so I can get out of his examination room so he can clean it. He never took the time to explain what was happening or anything...THEN SUGGESTED A CREDIT PROGRAM TO PAY HIM. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND YOU TO BRING YOUR ANIMALS THERE.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I came from Baltimore for a procedure that had to be done that day. They fit me in, gave me a wonderful, helpful price, and went above and beyond what I expected. EVEYONE was A++++. I will be traveling here for now on for the car of my dogs, verses my current vet 5 minutes away. That's how impressed I was. I can't thank everyone at Brentwood enough for all your kindness and exceptional care of my puppies.

Only because here is alot of money.. although they do try to help you and work around your budget by taking some things off for your pet.Front desk was so sweet , thank you for your customer service and the Assistant nurse was pretty chill , and also very patient helping me. The staff were friendly and responsive from my very first call. The vet I regularly take my cat to has closed and we were welcomed with open arms. All the staff were friendly and professional and the doctor was great as well. They were very open and honest and I felt the price was reasonable. All in all a great experience! I would highly recommend this place to everyone.
