We contracted Ed’s Plant World to replace our front step, sidewalk, and concrete driveway. The old step footer had failed, the step was sloped and sunken, and the 50 year old driveway was severely cracked.The new pavers freshened up the look of the exterior and greatly improved the curb appeal.The installers did a fantastic job and Jane - who supervised and was our primary contact - remained in contact throughout the project to ensure a successful completion.Very pleased with the results!

This is just regarding bulk mulch delivery. I get a huge pile of mulch delivered every 2 years (10+ yards), but this time it contained a big layer of mud/dirt and something like 50-100 smaller clumps of dirt all mixed in. This caused a lot of extra labor for separating the dirt from the mulch and disposing of it. I contacted Ed’s to try to get a partial refund for the missing mulch (displaced by dirt) and all the extra work it caused. They admitted this was probably caused by their own mulch delivery being placed on top of dirt or topsoil, which was then scooped up into my order. They offered only a $38 refund on the $500 order, which I just found to be unacceptable. I assume the assistant manager tried but their hands were tied by a GM or owner who’d rather lose customers. I had to advise my neighbor not to use them. My only recourse it to post an online review since a $38 credit is really a joke. Ed's might be ok with other business, but just know that they don’t stand behind their products or offer even close to a reasonable refund on bad product in this instance

I went initially just to browse and look for some new house plants. They don't really have a big selection of house plants, buuuuutttt they have an AMAZING selection out outdoor plants & landscaping features. I left with a million ideas for outside and can't wait to go back so we can create our outdoor oasis!!!The staff was also super helpful & friendly.

NO REFUNDS! Nice variety of plants, most staff are courteous. I had no issues with getting ahold of someone the 2 times I called. My experience was most affected by the lack of information regarding the refund policy, and the young lady with blonde hair and glasses at the register who is very dismissive. There is no signage stating 'No Refunds' or 'Sales Final' near the check out area, nor is it mentioned during the check out process. It only prints on 1 of 2 receipts provided AFTER you pay. They only offer a 'store credit' which is really just your original receipt with something written on it saying you brought back items. This is not a good practice. I just wanted to share so others can be mindful when deciding to make a purchase.

Ed’s Plant World always has plants you want, if they don’t have it they will look into ordering it for you. The staff is very knowledgeable, Alexis helped me from making a few major and costly mistakes. Customer service is amazing as well, Johnathan and Noah were right on the spot when I needed help loading the new additions to my landscape.

Got a fresh cut tree here December 1st, turn down the heat to my bottom floor, closed the vents surrounding, put water in the base and set the tree up to “fall” from being in the binds. Two days later it’s breautiful, suiting out and ready to decorate. We do that. 3 days later but also since I notice that this tree is shedding too much. I had filled up 3 regular sized vacuum bags in 3 days. I call and they say they don’t take trees back without receipts but will if I have the debit statement and tree since I only bought a tree and it was just a replacement. I say ok and say I’ll wait but DREAD having to take the decorations off and put this tree into my GMC Yukon let alone walk it shedding through my house. So life happens, I just continue to vacuum 4x a day but I notice that whenever my kids walk pines are falling off this tree. Now I get a live tree EVERY year but this was my first time receiving one from this nursery. I’m not taking this tree back. I’m not putting it into my car or taking the decorations off. That shouldn’t even be an option. The trees should be ready, alive and tested to make sure that it is ready for the home and decorations that it will receive. I am VERTY disappointed and never getting a live tree again. Beware of these “fresh” trees from this place. This one will not make it to Christmas in 4 days without looking like a Charlie Brown tree. Extremely disappointing after the year of shutdowns and this being the first real Christmas since it all started.

This signs clearly say they open at 7:30 it is. A good place , they just always late i had to wait for an hour outside not only the first time , nor the 2nd , also the 3rd time , nothing personal just pay attention to your schedule

Great plant prices and friendly staff when you are onsite. Tried to buy a bunch of flagstone for my patio, but kept getting the run around. On the third call over I got the “oh I was just about to call you back”…eventually gave up on trying to order flagstone from Ed’s and went to Wintergreen in Waldorf.

There's an outdoor saleswoman who is always rude when I visit; either she doesn't acknowledge me when I'm clearly in need of assistance, or she has an attitude when she IS assisting me.Also, on more than one occasion while visiting, I get wet when looking around. Why? Because they're running multiple overhead sprinklers. My most recent visit was between 1 and 2pm, and all their sprinklers seemed to be on. Really? Why not water your inventory early in the morning to avoid inconveniencing customers during peak shopping hours? Isn't that the best time to water, anyway?Lastly, most of their inventory is identified by handwritten signs; rarely do you find individual tags that indicate what the plant species is, how large they get, and it's care instructions.

Huge selection. Helpful staff. Plants, topsoip, compost, fertilizer and mulch available. They usually have very good deals when buying several of the same plant. I stop by several times throughout the season to see what new items they have in stock. No warranty on heavily discounted items.

This is a laid back, but well-managed nursery and hardscape supplier and installer. They have a very nice patio display showing various paving, fire pit, pergola. They also have a lot of plants, of various species and appearances. Prices are good, and service is good. I have purchased plants here for my mom's garden for years. And they have done some larger landscaping jobs for us at some of our properties. Good prices, good service-- what else could you ask for?

Rarely today do people do all that they promise!I hired Ed’s plant world to do the design, layout and installation replacing most of my former landscaping. Their team came to my house, walked through the yard asked questions to determine that we had substantial deer population and chose plants that were deer resistant. So that I could visualize how they would look , they took photographs of the house and superimposed these plants in a design to show me how the landscaping would appear when installed.It took four days for their team to install all of the landscaping. Most of the employees have been with the company for more than 15 years and went out of their way to make certain that every bed met our expectations. When after the installation we had a minor problem with a soaker hose they came out immediately and readjusted the hose layout in the bed.John and Ed answered every question we had about a variety of plants and trees and made great recommendations. This was a major undertaking and they made it most enjoyable. I’m so glad that I chose to use Ed’s Plant World! I would recommend them highly to all of my friends!

Very very disappointing. After spending thousands of dollars for landscaping, and being a loyal customer for several years, I contacted Ed's Plant World in February to request replacement of 6 plants under their 1-year warranty. Though during the COVID pandemic, they never told me that they could not do it, but instead promised on 4 occasions either a specific date or that they would have a crew come out within 2 weeks. Never happened. Now, 5 months later after filing a BBB complaint, they are trying to resolve the complaint by "stating" that they will send a team to replace the plants. I do not want to wait another 5 months, or for forever, only to find that they still have not honored their warranty.

So here we go with another example of exemplar customer service skills. Immediately, I say again, immediately upon walking up to the nursery doors I was pleasantly surprised when an employee met me before I could even reach out and twist the doorknob. I was so startled that I asked if he worked here....duh girl, he's only wearing an apron and name tag. Lol. He replied yes and asked how may he be of service....My husband and I just had a home built and of course tall fescue sod was laid nicely before we moved in. However I have bad, very bad OCD. I noticed after about 6 months or so that some of my grass was becoming a little bald (not from lack of diligence and proper care). My husband and I had also just removed two trees from the front yard and one from the back yard (we do not want trees growing anywhere on our property) After approval from the HOA first, of course (insert sarcastic emoji). We wanted to buy sod to help cover the area where the stumps were and get the grass growing back promptly.Enter Ed's Plant World. After checking around with other local farms and nurseries I chose Ed's because they were conveniently located AND opened on Sundays. Another key factor was even though you should always call to see if they have what you need in stock, this nursery does not require you to call and "hold/reserve sod". It's simply first come, first serve.Along with the stellar customer service another employee loaded all my sod in my prepared trunk---towels and plastic. Again, OCD. They also have plenty of extra plastic for your convenience.The tall fescue sod was (as of August 2017) $3.99 per strip (5"x20"). I also grabbed a bag of organic top soil that the employees recommended as well.Great people, awesome location (one mile from MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center, in Clinton, MD) and quality products!I (we) will definitely return and recommend!

Ed's Plant World has a lot of product and services but this patio install is the best deal in Southern Maryland for its quality. Mr. Jon Marson was absolutely professional and will even do extra steps for you to enjoy your backyard activities and even frontyard. They finished the work one week a head of schedule because we requested and want to make sure that this will be finished for my wife's birthday celebration. Mr. Marson even help frontyard structure like the fountain. He help me replace the pump and it even looks better than before. That extra help with a smile it hard to come by this days. Shout-out to his co-workers for amazing job. Thank you very much.
