When our 12 year old beagle Artie passed suddenly 2 weeks ago our vet took care of the cremation arrangements for us. Agape did a wonderful job, we received his ashes, a certificate and a paw print back in one week. The quality of the urn, the velvet bag and the paw print were much better than I had expected. Thank you for treating our beloved friend with dignity and respect.

Absolutely incredible service. They exceeded all of my expectations for my rodent cremation. So thoughtful with the packaging and contents, and was carefully wrapped and quickly delivered. I would HIGHLY recommend this service as they do a phenomenal job. Thank you Agape!

My senior rescue cat, Toby, died suddenly about a week ago and Agape gave me a beautiful urn, prints, and clay imprints to remember him by. I’ll always miss Toby because of how incredibly special he was, but I am grateful that he is home. Because of Agape’s professionalism, I know he was cared for and given the utmost respect in his death. All items and letters were in a velvet bag, and I appreciated the touch. Thanks to Agape’s services, I can continue to mourn Toby in peace. ❤️

Unfortunately, this is the company my vet uses. When my cat passed away, I paid for the cremation and a paw print. I received my bag today with just his ashes. When I called the vet and asked where the pawprint was, they told me there was some issue at the company and a paw print wasn't even done. There should have been some communication with the pet's owner. This is heart breaking.

Our dog passed away suddenly from a series of seizures, and the hospital treating him uses Agape. If you have a choice, please do not. They returned our precious Maximus to us not fully processed. He came back as mostly bone fragments, with little ash. There is no way we can scatter his ashes in the state they are in, and I had to literally sift through the bones of my best friend to gather a small bit of ash to have turned into a memorial ring. There truly are no words for how traumatizing this has all been. After I sent an email to the company, I received a call from their staff, apologizing AND admitting that what we received was not up to their standards and not fully processed in the second step. During this apology, which I did feel was sincere, there was no offer to partially refund our money. I did not ask, as I was literally trying not to cry during the entire call. To admit the job was not done correctly and then not automatically refund some of the money is just wrong. As was the way they returned him to us- via UPS truck. I was not offered their option for on-site pick up, so after the pain of waiting around all day- until 6:55pm- to sign for my best friend who was in the back of a truck with random online shopping orders- this is what I received. I will spare you all the photos, which I did send them. Please avoid them. The pain of losing your best friend is only compounded by this company.EDIT: I did receive a call back from a manager, who again was very sincere, and was offered and received a refund. They also offered additional mementos, and to reprocess Max but I think that would be too painful. I appreciate Andrew, and just wish this never was the case. I am hopeful no one else has the same experience.

Our sweet boy, Bandit, gained his wings a week ago. We used Lap of Love which recommended Agape's cremation services to us. I didn't explore any other options but I am very pleased with Agape's services. I was told on October 14, 2023 that we would receive Bandit back in 10-14 days. Yesterday, I received an email from Agape that he was hand delivered to our vet. When I went to our vet's office to pick him up, expecting a standard brown UPS box, I was so surprised to see that he was placed in a gift bag, with his urn wrapped in a velvety cloth. The urn that he was placed in was hand carved and included a name plate (something I was not expecting). The urn was heavy, and the quality of the wood and the detail of the carvings was beautiful. I also received a certificate to confirm that it was Bandit I received. I read some of the other reviews before writing this and would have been a little hesitant to use Agape after seeing other's experiences. My experience with Agape was very positive, and I am impressed with the care that went in to returning our boy back to us in a thoughtful manner. I'm so sorry to hear that other people had trouble, especially during this difficult time, but I truly was very pleased and am grateful to have my pup back.

Our Big girl was cremated at the Charlotte location. I can't say enough about the experience we had from the minute we walked in until we left. Mike was extremely sincere, caring and compassionate. The products he showed us were absolutely beautiful. The turnaround time was amazing. We received her ashes and some paw print frames within 3 days. Hopefully we will not be going back anytime soon but if we needed that again, that's where we would go. We will definitely recommend Agape to our friends and family. Thank you so much.

Loudoun Cat Care handled the personal cremation arrangements for my 16-year-old Neva Masquerade named Liliya Zima Taiga. She was so beautiful, a CFA champion with an amazing personality. Losing her was devastating. I don't remember much about my choices for the cremation, and I wasn't aware where the cremation was taking place; however today I picked up a beautiful wooden box with Liliya's name engraved on top. There was a nice card with the box. Her cremains were wrapped inside a royal blue velvet bag. She will be buried with me one day. Thank you, for handling her cremation and helping me through this experience in a way that brings healing to me.

We used Agape to do a private cremation of our sweet kitty. Due to an error on our vet's end, there was a delay in her cremation and we ended up speaking with Agape at least 6-7 times over the course of 1.5 weeks to resolve the issue so our baby could be cremated and returned to us. Throughout this process and every single phone call, they were nothing but kind, helpful, understanding, and sensitive. Even my calls to double or triple check something, because it was so important to me, were met with respect and kindness. They made a very, very, very hard process easier and more comforting, and we are forever grateful.

I had to put my horse down this afternoon, and I could not have asked for a better or more supportive experience than I received from Anthony at Agape this afternoon! Obviously, a sad time, and he could not have been more kind and supportive. The office was responsive and were there within two hours of my call. I could not ask for more.

I cannot say enough good things about the employees at this company. I recently had to put my almost 16 year old Italian Greyhound and the absolute love of my life to sleep. Our friend and vet recommended Agape to me as the service they use for cremation. They offered a private cremation and viewing which we did. They had cleaned her up and had her wrapped up in a blanket in a little bed so I and my other dog, who was bonded to her could spend an hour with her prior to the cremation. They have a private room that is so nicely set up and it honestly made it much more pleasant to say goodbye. There is a window in the room so you can see and trust when your pet is being cremated. I had such reservations because I didn't want her body to be tossed about and I really feel like Agape treated her respectfully in death. The employees there, Jasmine and Nathen, were so kind to me and so professional. These little things are so important because it is bad enough to lose an animal you love and then to have to worry how they're being handled. I had a lot of apprehension about that but I wouldn't trust another place with my pets ever again. As requested, they had divided her ashes so me and my former partner could each have an urn. Everything was delivered in a blue velvet bag and they made sure everything was perfect before we left. I would highly recommend using their services.

I can't say enough about the professionalism and extreme care taken by Agape. I've worked with them both professionally and now personally and I fully recommend them for any and every part of pet aftercare. Thank you Agape for giving my family and I peace of mind knowing that our pup was handled like a human would be - probably even better! The momentos that accompany the actual remains are top notch, I can't imagine how they could be better. Having made many a clay paw imprint, I know how difficult it is and through their product I can see how meticulous they are about this process. We now have multiple beautiful ways to remember our beloved dog. If you want to know in your heart that your pet's remains are being handled respectfully and with heartfelt care, trust Agape to do so. Above and beyond, I cannot thank them enough!

I was devastated at the loss of my dog last week and was very eager to get his ashes home. The euthanasia service Lap of Love (who was great), chose Agape, I did not. I received the package today and pulled out the wooden box containing the ashes only to find the wrong name plaque on it, for some poor dog named Bruno (not my dog's name). I felt liked I'd been kicked in the gut. When I called Agape their response was basically oh you'll just have to trust us it's your dog's ashes despite what the plaque on the box says. No apology, no refund, no offer to investigate further, no offer to send a new box. I now don't know - and never will know - if these are even the ashes of my dog (which I paid 300 to have a private cremation for) and if I should even bother keeping them. I am devastated and angry and feel Agape handled this about as poorly as possible. Do not recommend,

My fur baby Mylo, gained his wings a week ago. Agape (Boonsboro location) has provided more than what I can ask for with how everything was handled. The attention to detail is 10/10! The paw print ceramic, the lock of fur, the packaging...I'm speechless at how they made this sad moment so special. I thank you all so much for what you do to help grieving families have this type of closure & to know that there was dignity and care. Thank you a million times over!!!

We've had an extremely difficult, negative time with the services provided by Agape through the emergency vet where we recently took and ultimately said goodbye to one of our dogs. Despite our paperwork/the invoice on file with the emergency vet being correct (we had them check) and requesting a clay paw print/impression, the one we received was an ink print. The emergency vet informed us that there was nothing that could be done to rectify it at that point, as she had already been cremated, but refunded us the $50 we paid for the impression.Upon examination of the paw print and frame we received, the quality was very poor, with a flimsy stand and an off-center/crooked name plate, and the print itself was also crooked. We decided that we would reframe it ourselves in a shadowbox with her collar, and when we went to do so we found that the entire print itself had been glued to this low-quality frame, so it can't be removed without ruining it--the only paw print we have. I'm just aghast at this decision, even if the quality was better, and they hadn't already messed up our order during a difficult time, what happened if the frame ever breaks and we needed to remove it?There's no replacing her paw print, I'm so upset at this choice being made. Now, we need to take it to a professional framing service and see if they can help us--which will be an additional upsetting and costly experience, on top of the ugly and costly shock it's been to lose our beloved girl. It's upsetting, unprofessional, and extremely subpar service during a very difficult time--especially when, as a pet parent and customer, I don't have another option--it's the service the vet contracts with.Additionally, despite the emergency vet reaching out to Agape, we haven't heard from them directly or had even the courtesy of acknowledgement.

It's never easy using this kind of service but they make it easy and explain everything thoroughly. Allowed us to have a final moment with our beloved pet before witness cremation (a service they offer). Thoroughly make sure you are happy with your pet imprints and spelling on their urn as well as having a nice selection of urns to pick from.

I suddenly lost my dog and the ER vet clinic uses Agape. I got a private cremation. The box arrive 5 days later to my home. It was a very sturdy box with bubble wrap tightly around the velvet box. The box was beautiful and the framed ceramic paw print was lovely. I'm very pleased with their service. I requested his bed go with him. I hope they honored that request.

I used Agape services a few years ago and I have never stopped talking about it. The care and respect shown my horse was magnificent. And when the gentleman came to our home a few days later to deliver her ashes, he came to the door. Introduced himself, and said Mrs. Dobrowolski are you ready for me to bring your horse to your home. I thought that was so caring and respectful. We would never use anyone else. I don't know why I didn't think to post this years ago.

We lost our sweet Thor after an ER visit to Mountain View Animal Emergency and they partnered with Agape Pet Services for cremation services. Thor came home yesterday and we were floored. The Serenity Urn and paw print are beautiful and blue velvet packaging was a classy touch. As painful as it was we are confident our sweet boy was handled with care until he came home to us. Well done, will most certainly use Agape Pet Services again.

Agape Pet Services provided cremation services for Mojo, my beloved bearded dragon, via my vet. I could not be more pleased with the job they did. Everything was handled smoothly in a timely manner. The prints they made of her little feet are just perfect and even look like little angel wings. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job creating this beautiful memorial for me. I will treasure it forever.

I had just lost my beloved cat of thirteen years suddenly last Saturday. Agape took such wonderful care of my girl. I could tell by the way they gently cared for her by the details of the fur and whiskers to the engraved plaque with her paw print. It comforts me greatly to know that the last people to touch my baby was a company who deeply loves what they do. For the cost of everything included in the beautiful velvet pouch and the special touches it was worth every penny spent and priceless to know that she was handled with dignity and love. Thank you for making this difficult time a bit easier and giving me such special keepsakes. Thanks for all you do!

Words cannot express my gratitude. I lost my dog my son a day after Christmas December 26th 2022. I was absolutely devastated. The vet that my dog goes to use this company for cremation. I called and spoke to Patty about arrangements for my dog and she was so amazing. We spoke for about an hour picking out a custom urn and she set up a viewing so I can say my final goodbye to Coco. When I got to the facility Patty was waiting for me at the door she was so welcoming. I had a private room where I had alone time with my dog. Once everything was done they gave me my dog in his custom urn, beautiful packaging. I would highly recommend this facility the people are so friendly. Patty you made my final moments with Coco so special, I am forever grateful. 100000/10 highly recommend!

The staff at Agape (particularly Patty and Jasmine) were very attentive and compassionate. I had several calls with them and they always called me back right away to follow up, throughout the whole process. Patty assisted in trying to resolve an issue regarding a bad experience I had at the emergency room where my dog crossed the Rainbow Bridge. A technician in the ER at Metropolitan on Rockville Pike ignored verbal and written instructions and separated my dog from her bed/blanket/stuffed animal, which I wanted my dog to be cremated with. When I discovered my dog was transported to the crematorium in a body bag *without* her things, Patty/Agape put the cremation on hold and made calls to the ER to arrange for my dog's items to be delivered to Agape before cremation. Again Metropolitan ER goofed up and set aside things that belonged to a different dog (**apparently Metropolitan ER is separating all cats/dogs from personal items their grieving families wanted cremated with them**). It took 3 days for Metropolitan ER to locate my dog's items, which I picked up myself (they handed them to me in a trash bag). I delivered the items to Agape myself. Patty and Jasmine greeted me warmly as soon as I walked in the door. Patty assured me she would personally bundle my dog in her bed, blanket with 2 small stuffed animals, and then she expedited the cremation immediately thereafter. My dog was delivered to my home a few days later. I hope anyone who reads this review will be mindful of the fact that veterinarians/animal hospitals **may or may not be carrying out your last wishes** for your pets. Please make follow up calls to the vet/ER and crematorium to make sure your pet's sentimental items really are being documented and itemized on check-in forms, or on their computer systems, and transported with your pet - so that Agape can cross-check and verify with you. I was lucky, I was able to fix my situation (with Patty's/Agape's help), but most families who do not make follow up calls and trust blindly don't realize their pets are not being kept together with any blankets, stuffed animals or beds you wish them to be cremated with. I want to thank Agape for helping me through the process, keeping me informed all along the way, and easing my grief with their patience, kindness and compassion.

To start, I didn't receive the ink prints that I'd requested, and there's no fixing that now. The clay print I received looks like absolute trash. You can tell that there was no care or concern put into it and someone just went "good enough" like it isn't the last piece of a loved family member that a griever will receive.Check who will be providing services and if it's Agape, demand somewhere else please and avoid the added heartbreak.

They have handled 3 of my pets cremation now. Two in Virginia and one in North Carolina. Agape is very thoughtful and kind when I called. Would only use them for my pet cremation. Thank you all so much for being so kind and personalizing my urn and lock of hair. So special.

We had to say goodbye to our beloved cat of 12 years. She’s our whole world. We had her euthanized at home through Peaceful Passage (and they’re great; amazing doctors, so attentive and supportive, 10/10) but unfortunately PP seems to only partner with Agape Pet Services now for cremation.Agape’s hours make it almost impossible to retrieve your pet’s remains and memorial items. They’re only open M-F, 8am-4pm… during most people’s work hours. They have 24/7 services - including removing deceased horses from properties - but apparently cremation pick up & delivery are not included. I emailed them (to 2 different email addresses) and didn’t hear back. I had to email Peaceful Passage to see if they could get in touch, which they did. When I got the phone call I told them we live 2 hours away and we couldn’t financially afford to take off work, and if there was any way there could be flexibility on pick up hours. I usually wouldn’t ask this of a business but I saw they offered 24/7 services so I thought it could be worth a shot to see if anyone could stay until like 6pm. Tina gave me an attitude and said “our hours are our hours, that’s just what we do”. Rudely stated but valid. After discussing it with my family we decided we would change our aftercare to hand delivery (extra $50), only to find out that delivery is also only available from 8am-4pm. Tina offered to deliver the remains to our home Friday between 12-3. I said, “that won’t work for us because that’s still work hours, can I call you back” (so I could talk to my partner). She offered to leave the remains “somewhere safe” on the property if we weren’t home (as if our cat is some sort of amazon package), I politely told her no. Not even 24 hours goes by until I get a voicemail saying they will be delivering the remains on Friday between 12-3pm and if that didn’t work for me, to call them back. I called back not even 20 minutes later - it went straight to voicemail. I left a frustrated message. I had no idea what to do - I just wanted my cat back. Tina called me back and passive aggressively said “I’m sorry that you’re feeling upset. We didn’t mean to upset you”. Eye roll, but whatever. She asked me for a time that worked for me and, finally, I thought someone was helping me out. I told her after 5 and she said “5am? ” and my head was spinning at this point so I firmly corrected her, 5pm. She immediately took an attitude and said “I’m just trying to work with you” and I was kind of taken back by her tone, so I told her, “I gave you a time and you said no, how is that working with me?” She decided she was done with me and passed the phone to the manager, Andrew. He was wonderful; Apologetic, expressed his condolences, validated my frustration, and offered me a solution right off the bat that worked for both of us. My cat’s remains were returned to me at my job. It wasn’t ideal but I finally had her back. Win win. While Andrew saved this review from 1 star, I really hope Peaceful Passage partners with someone else soon. Coordinating with this place is a nightmare for anyone who doesn’t live nearby.PS - I’ve worked in the retail industry and the restaurant industry, I know what a “Karen” is. I know when someone is demanding too much or being excessively rude for no reason; I was not taking it that far. This was an 8 minute phone call and Tina picked up the phone with an attitude. I rarely ever express this kind of emotion because I know customer service is a tough gig, but this was not some out-of-stock tshirt or overcooked burger. This was my beloved cat of 12 years and I was not getting any kind of compassion or help from Tina. I understand a business is a business, hours are hours, but I was more professional as a 22 year old having clothes thrown at my face than Tina was on an 8 minute phone call with someone who’s grieving.2 stars: 1. Andrew, 2. no one lost my cat's body (sort Google reviews by lowest...)

We very unexpectedly had to let go of our Luna baby while at Friendship Animal Hospital - they advised they partnered with Agape for cremation services. We requested a private cremation, and a clay paw print. It's not even a week after we said goodbye, and we just received everything from Agape. They included an ink paw print, along with her ashes in a beautiful, customized wooden box in a velvet bag. Losing a baby is never easy, but to be able to have her back with us in less than a week has helped tremendously. Thank you so much to everyone at Agape for taking such care with our baby, and returning her to us so quickly. We are appreciative beyond words.

I have had the experience of using Agape three times, twice for my own personal horses within the past three years. Every single time, I was met with nothing but excellent customer service. This past Thanksgiving, I lost my heart horse of 26 years. Despite having to host Thanksgiving dinner at his house, Brandon was compassionate and understanding both on the phone and when he came to pick up my horse. He allowed me the time I needed to say goodbye and handled my boy gently and carefully. Each time I've used Agape's private cremation service. The ashes and plaster hoof print were returned to me in under a week. I feel the service that they offered, and the knowledge that my beloved horses were handled with dignity and care, was worth every penny. I have nothing but good things to say about this company and highly recommend them.
