Placed an order online for the in-store pickup. After one hour, received a text notification. After another half hour, received pickup ready email. The parking lots were nearly full on Saturday afternoon. My order did not fit into a Order Pickup Lockers located on the right hand side of the entrance, so waited at the Customer Service Desks for a few minutes. A staff m pushed my cart and loaded my order items.

This might be one of the worst designed Home Depots I've ever been to. Trying to navigate the parking lot is bad enough but then getting garden items and bringing them in was just awful. All of the aisles are too close to move any carts near and it doesn't have a connected garden center. In addition our cart randomly locked after we checked out and set off an alarm meaning we had to wait for help to leave. Don't pick this location if you're looking to get plants!

A great variety of plants for garden and interior and also tools and accessories. It was full and we had to wait in line to collect the mulch but the cashier for paying were fast and efficient.

This location is a great place to find what you need and if you need a special order this is also the place to make it. This Bethesda location is always well stock. You will always find some one at each of the departments for help. If your a contractor there is plenty of places where to grab lunch around the store or across on Montgomery Mall.

I have had good experiences with the paint section of this store. Unfortunately, a few days ago, I waited at the paint counter for several minutes while the paint associate was using her phone. The paint mixing job was the fastest that I have ever seen, which suggested the paint wasn't thoroughly mixed. And when the job was "completed," there was wet paint dripping down the side of the can.

Absolutely rude customer service. Placed a large curbside pick up order because I am 7 month pregnant and need the assistance getting the order in the car. When I arrived for pick up 5 hours later and called the store to let them know I arrive a very rude Indian man answered the phone. He told me if I didn’t have the app I had to come inside and get my order myself. I explained I pregnant and couldn’t do that. He proceeded to place me on hold and hung up on me. I called back with no answer for the next 10 minutes. I ended up having to go into the store, wait in line, only to get my $300 order and have to ask for help loading my order while sales associate looked at me like I’m crazy. An associate ended up assisting me but this entire experience is infuriating and I will never be using Home Depot curb side again or this location.

Home Depot is great, but parking here sucks! Especially if you have an HD truck. They do not enforce the pro Parking spots and people with small cars park there all the time. The rest of the spaces are very small.

We had a terrible experience yesterday at kids workshop. I had pre-registered for my son but the form itself does not have an option to select preferred location, so I was assigned a location based on unknown logic. When we reached there it was almost time to end the workshop but staff was very rude and didn't let my son participate as we did not register for this location. My son cried hysterically but staff did not budge at all. I made several requests but staff was pretty rude to not entertain us at all. Never returning here for the workshop.

Drove a ways to this location to get a certain item. Figured a “bethesda” location would be nice. Obvious downgrade in customer service - especially at returns. Is it too difficult to be pleasant? Parking is simply a pain.

As an interior designer I go to many different Home Depo stores throughout DMV area to find last minute items for my contractors during kitchen and bathroom installations. This store has some nice helpful black employees who are helpful and try to help you. Unfortunately, some of the white employees (not all of them) often tend to ignore and dismiss you for asking questions. I shop here only when it is absolutely necessary.

Great people extremely helpful, good selection of plants and what not, but I would not recommend purchasing mulch here as all of the bags that I purchased were entirely moldy and not as red as they usually come. I live 30 mins away and it’s a waste of money plus super inconvenient and impossible to just bag them back up and return after we discovered the issue.

2022 update: Since Strosiniders took over the old Harware City in Kensington, I usually go there first so my quick/small hardware store needs, but use the Bethesda Home Depot for all other hardware/lumber store needs.This HD is a good one - well stocked most of the time - with hours that are good for contractors as well as homeowners..it is now easier than a couple of years ago to find an 'orange apron' who can help you find non-obvious parts/supplies or simply direct you to an aisle so that you don't have to check the app for what you are looking for. The self-check as well as the clerk operated check out stations are usually not crowded.The garden center here is all in the parking lot and as a result not as good as the ones @ the Aspen Hill and Shady Grove locations. And the parking can get tight here, but all and all it's a decent good hardware/lumber retail location. Besides, for longtime area residents, you can close your eyes and almost imagine it's still a Heckingers.

I’ve been coming here for years, and now all of a sudden I can’t return some lightbulbs.They use some sort of stupid third-party verification system for returns and I can’t even exchange my bulbs. This is so stupid. I never keep my receipts. They used to be so easy to work with now they are terrible. Some guy called Guruprasad is so rude! He should be fired.

Don't count on your lumber being cut correctly. Some can do it correctly, but the majority can'tSame with tools.... perpetually lots of empty spaces.Oh well, so goes capitalism

The Home Depot in Rockville has To be the Worst Home Depot, I've Visited And I've Visited alot ,No Contractor Parking, The Contractors Need to Slub Their Materials into the Parking lot and try to load them In their undersized Lot. The Young Man Standing at one of the entrance, wear a depot vest ,I asked if he was a greeter, he said he was a cart pushed, but he wasn't gonna out in that heat .a the wonderful cashier that waited on me, explained that the Employees were asked to park across the busy 4 lane road and a couple of them almost got hit. Home depot should close down this store and a couple others in the area and if you're gonna remain in little DC ,Get a bigger piece of real-estate and if the Save The Piss Ant Coalition has a Problem, just shut it Down, Cater to your Customers

My roommate and I came in looking for lumber to build a bench for our living room. Pedro, the manager was extremely helpful in recommending what the best type of quality lumber we should use while remaining in our budget. JoJo, a crew member, was a life saver. He basically helped us build out the project with him right there in the store. From cutting the wood to figuring out which type of bolts and braces to use, he answered all of our questions. We walked in looking to build some additional seating on a budget and came out with a piece of furniture that has a great story behind it. Thank you to JoJo and Pedro and the other team members who stopped by to walk us through our plans and just chat. Honestly, the best Home Depot we've ever visited.

Could not find Lithium 9 volt batteries. These are long lasting and therefore sort of critical for the proper operation of Home fire detectors as well as for the reliability of carbon monoxide detectors.People who travel usually rely on this type of batteries.Otherwise k give five stars to HomeDepot.

Its home depot, as usual came with a list of items and left without getting everything. Their inventory systems suck. Seems like they dont carry enough of the items on shelves, as a former remodeling contractor it was hard to shop for anything complex. Local supply houses/lumber yards get the business.Lucky for me i live close to a couple HDs to finish my materials list.

Rated it before and remains the same-- if you're in need of hardware, plants, appliances etc., Whether you're a handy person or even a Contractor, they usually have it, and have knowledgeable associates to help. When I need it, it's usually my first stop! Oh, they do support retired military with military discount

I had to run to Home Depot to pickup an air purifier last week. I had seen the aisle and bay where the item was located on Home Depot's website but didn't write it down. I asked a cashier who directed me to the right spot.When I got there the air purifiers were blocked by one of Home Depot's big orange moving vehicles. I couldn't find the air purifier I was looking for so I tried to find someone to help me. All the employees I encountered were either helping someone else, talking with another employee, or outright ignored me.I finally went to customer service where all customer service agents were either busy with another customer, talking with another employee or busy on the phone.I finally was able to talk to someone who at first wanted to give me the location of the item but when I said I couldn't find the item in the location and that there was a huge machine in front of the bay where the item was supposed to be. He then told me to wait and he'd go find one.It took probably 15 minutes so I am glad I followed him.I got what I went in to buy but it was much more of an ordeal than I expected.I wish I could say this was an unusual event, but it's been this way for as long as I have been going to Home Depot. If I hadn't needed this item immediately I would have gone elsewhere.

I had an experience here last week that was not a good one at all BUT Colin, the store director was so quick to jump on it and go way above and beyond to rectify the situation. Within 5 minutes of me alerting HD about my experience, Colin called and immediately diffused the situation Furthermore, he asked me to come by the store when he was there and he was extremely generous with his response to a situation that was very upsetting to me.!! He took time to listen to the issue and was genuine with his response. I truly appreciate his attention to this matter and I hope someone from Corporate sees this because they need more people like Colin running their stores. Thanks again Colin from turning one of the worst customer service experiences into the best one I have ever had!!!!!
