Love this community pet store. Super friendly and very helpful. My new set up is running on Fluval CO2. No filter. So happy they had some Top Fin plants to complete my aquascaping.

Lynasea is just amazing and we love her so so much! She has always taken care of our golden retriever Maverick with love and care. She needs to be promoted because she is just so sweet and awesome!!! I hope they recognize her skills and her care for dogs! Ask for her when you need grooming done! My dog comes out happy and clean and fluffy!!!

My dog was cut several times during his grooming session with Ciara K. He’s been crying and miserable all evening . There’s a huge cut on his head and noticeable spots of blood. He was also completely shaved without my permission meanwhile I paid an additional dematting fee. I’m beyond upset about Manolo’s experience and final appearance. He is inconsolable and unrecognizable. I believe that he endured a lot of abuse and pain.

Mazakeen greatly increased her stature with The Cat Society at this store! It also has a Banfield Vet in the store. Mazakeen had an appointment for shots there. She was so upset that she scored 10 toys, 4 OTC calm cat items, and one R/X filled before we got back outside! We will definitely be back!

I’m usually a frequent at this location since my puppy just had his first birthday. It’s the nearest Petsmart to my home, and I really appreciate the cleanliness and the customer service. I’ve been taking advantage of the return policy that was explained to me over now a year, in terms of my puppy, destroying his harness. Today when I went to return the item which was seven days over the 60 day policy, I was told I could not return it. Now what is interesting is that it was explained to me that either way I wouldn’t be able to return the item since it had been damaged by my dog. it was my understanding from previous managers and associates that the policy coveted this type of return. I’m not discounting the policy itself however, seeing as though service are held in high regard with the company, I would assume some grace could have been displayed. I explained my previous insight on this objective yet it was discounted. Needless to say, I expected more from a neighborhood franchise that services many pet-owning families. It was very disappointing. My interaction Shanetta was not helpful or informative.

Very unprofessional Hiring manager and when I shared a miscommunication about my interview being me having the wrong time and she kept saying “well this is the time we had so..” I said “i understand that I definitely remember setting a different time because I had a busy schedule yesterday” and she cut me off at one point very rudely to tell me she’s been doing a lot of interviews and she knows she has the right time because of how she does things. I might have interrupted her, and I didn’t mean to, I found her to be very unnecessarily rude .

When I dropped off my dog I was told he'd be ready in about 3 hours. When almost 4 hours had passed I called & was told he was on the table right then. By the time I picked him up, it had taken 4.5 hours. So you'd think he'd have a great cut, right? Look at the photos yourself. I told the groomer I couldn't tip, since they didn't give me a heads up about it taking longer I had to cancel another commitment at the last minute. The groomers response? "Fine, I don't care." The manager, Anna, gave me a mumbled "sorry". Worst $96 I've ever spent. No one knows how to communicate at this store.

One of the workers (kind of short with light brown hair in a bob) was very disrespectful. We were buying beta fish and she approached us in a rude tone telling us that we can’t buy fish because we aren’t 18 (even though my friends and I are in our 20s and don’t look young at all). She then proceeded to say we need bigger tanks, a filter, a heater, and much more to take care of them. This was all said in a very passive aggressive way as though she was judging us. We responded ok and she said “I’m assuming that’s out of your range” and rolled her eyes. I’ve honestly never encountered worse customer service than what I just experienced. We ended up not buying anything because she kept giving us mean looks and we felt uncomfortable. She also followed us around the store! Please take this review into consideration when continuing her employment here. We don’t want to return

Just giving 4 stars cause I don't really want to trash talk anybody, but my purpose is to warn people NOT to buy the cricket containers because they don't the contain crickets at all. I am a little disappointed that they sold this to me and surprised they don'tknow it doesn't work.Story: I bought a hundred Crickets for my bearded dragon. But I wanted to keep them in a container instead of the plastic bag so I bought what they said was recommended. After an hour, I started noticing little crickets running all over my apartment. At first I thought that I probably let some drop while I was moving them from the plastic bag into the container. But more kept coming out. I finally put it inside a very large ziploc bag and as you can see in the picture they started coming out anew. Apparently, they fit through the little breathing holes at the top. So do Yourself a favor don't buy this because guaranteed, they're gonna get loose. And they're gonna ransack your apartment just like they did mine

I just recently rescued a hamster and was in desperate need of supplies. I went to the small rodent section but the entire aisle was blocked off for a dog training class. I inquired if I could get any of the supplies that were in the aisle, but the employee told me that this section was only for the trainer and the dog and that I needed to come back later. It was extremely inconvenient, they need to find a different spot to train dogs that doesn't restrict other guests from buying essentials for their pets. I'll be using Chewy from now on.

Giving FIVE STARS bc I came into buy a fish tank and sign up for all it entails, having zero knowledge of fish tanks and all it entails. Lol but JENNIFER, in less than 30 minutes gave me the rundown, as I asked ridiculous questions like why not throw in having a baby lobster and a turtle along with Nemo and baby Shrimp! Haha. Anyhow, Jennifer was so amazing that she came in in the clutch and she just so happens the happy owner of sooo many kinds of fish!! It was like the heavens opened up and God said, here she is! The things she explained to me in what to me, was Marine Biology terminology I thought I would never understand, she encouraged me to do as much research as possible. And I DID! All those things like cycling, planting, necessary additions like substrate and nitrates and ammonia were already ingrained bc of her and I’m so thankful! Now I’m getting all my gear and DIVING IN! I really appreciate the help! She was so warm and welcoming, unlike the male “manager”, who was really dismissive to us, at the register during an app problem, who couldn’t be bothered. Love always Jennifer!

We came today to get pet pictures with Santa (aka Kevin), and we could not have had a better experience!!! Kevin was so incredibly kind — he truly went above & beyond to make our visit amazing. He even told us about the PetHotel services PetSmart offers (we had no idea!!) and just was so informative and helpful. Kevin truly made this Christmas so much more special now that we have pictures to remember forever! Thank you so much to Kevin & Petsmart for doing this!!! :)

A DISHONEST STORE . They don’t care about customer experience and be sure they don’t care about your pets’ experience either. Some stuff there are incredibly irresponsible. Items are always hung on a wrong place with a wrong price. I’ve experience this issue three times! The $3 bunch turned out to be $6, and the $2 stuff turned out to be $3.5. When I tried to tell the guy this problem. He was in a rush to go home and said he couldn’t give me the item with price on tag. Excuse me ? It’s just 1 or 2 dollars difference and I already paid for them, so I don’t need you to give me that cheap price.I told you so that you guys be aware of this mistakes. It’s not a big deal, but it’s super annoying always seeing the wrong price. And they clearly don’t care about customer experience. Never going there again!

Great selection, excellent stop for a long-time dog-lover, first-time dog-owner such as myself! They had a $20 new-dog guide that had coupons which helped me to save on my purchase, and it came with offers for a free grooming session, a free starter training session, and a free night of kenneling. There are great options for shopping online, but it was really great to explore the options in person and take everything home on the spot so it could be ready for us to bring home the newest addition to our family the next day 😊

Why?? Why is there a need for torturing fishes (and other animals ) enclosed in a tiny cup where they can't even swim , they suffer till death. Why ? they are not objects , they are living beings and selling them as objects just proves petsmart priority is not the love of animals well being but the love of every dollar . Shameful and disappointing.

Great place to buy pet supplies such as food, toys, treats, leashes, and more. PetSmart is great for new dog owners such as my family being able to buy the Puppy Guide with coupons and tips for the first year of your dog's life. PetSmart has other services such as Dog Training, which is very good with options for private classes or group classes. Last, if needed you have the Pet Hotel for Boarding and Doggie Day Camp, and you have PetSmart Grooming where you can have your dog groomed. PetSmart is a one stop shop for all things pet.

Employees at this place are treated unfairly. They have to pay $11 In parking and are told they are gonna get Reimbursed and never do.Most of the food given to the animals is rotten!

Brought my schnauzer mix for a groom with Jasmine. She probably thought I was crazy because I brought multiple photos with notes of what I did and didn’t want him to look like as well as a photo of his previous (elsewhere) groom that was an absolute disaster, but she did a PERFECT job. He’s exactly how I wanted him! Couldn’t have asked for better! Thanks Jasmine!

When I was going to PetSmart with my mother to get a female budgie parakeet for my male Parakeet, I thought I was going to have a great experience. But I was downright WRONG. When we went to the parakeets, there was a employee taking their sweet time getting a fish for a customer. the employee took 30 whole minutes taking the fish. The employee said if they can swear, but then realized they would damage their reputation that way. When we FINALLY got the employee to help us, they were about to help another customer, but then decided to help us first. When the employee was getting the bird we wanted, this other employee walked in and was starting to be stern and harsh on the employee getting the birds and started crying like a lamb. We got our parakeet, but the service was BAD. Never going to this store again.

Stayed at the Pet Hotel December 2022. Booking the accommodation for my dog was easy through the main Pet Smart hotel number but the system at the store (Bethesda) didn't match and they didn't have my requested accommodation when I checked the day or so before. I don't like that they have multiple accommodation options because I wasn't 100% convinced my dog stayed in the "suite" the entire stay due to the mix-up with booking even though that's what I paid for and was told I would get.Pros: Clean lobby, overall nice staff but not super friendly (one guy at check in was super nice and made me feel the most comfortable when I left my dog, I think his name was Kenny), flexible hoursCons: Couldn't see boarding accommodations before booking stay, dogs don't go outside at all, smelled like urine upon pick up (likely because of urinating indoors the entire time) and mostly needed a good bath before pickup, paid for services not provided like extra play time, story time, pictures etc, also given the mix-up with booking the stay I was initially told that requested suite not available, but once they realized I had reserved a suite, they then said they would make the accommodation but I really had no way of knowing if they did and I had to leave town for a planned vacation the next day so could not do anything about it. More transparency about the accommodations would be greatly appreciated.In a pinch for a one or two day stay, I might use again, but not for anything longer.

The overall store is nice because they offer a hospital, salon it had day care for your pet. Despite the discounts something seemed a little overpriced. Also I've had a guinea pig and a hamster passed away unexpectedly that I purchased from them. I'm not sure why!

We adopted Lewis (black and white) about 5 months ago and Bunny (gray) about a year and a half ago, they are the sweetest cats ever! My boyfriend and I could not be happier!

I love this PetSmart! I've been going there since we moved to this city and last weekend was the first time I took my dog to get a bath. She loved the staff and I was super happy with the result. Definetly will keep coming back!
