Oliver always is looking fresh after his cuts. They take great care of him. I have had him groomed at many groomers over the past four years and Bone Jour definitely is the best! I don’t know what they do but he is sooo soft after I get him back that you don’t want to stop petting him. I highly recommend for any doodle owners out there.

It is hard finding a great place for your pets. We’ve tried and failed many times in the DC area, but we love Bone Jour. They love our dog, know him by name the second he comes in the door, and we trust them to always do a great with job grooming, day care, or boarding.The staff is super friendly, helpful, and responsive to your inquiries. Highly recommend.

Bone Jour has been the best day care place for my dog Bruno. He has been attending it since he was a small puppy. I want to express my appreciation to all day care team members for caring,loving attitude and taking care of our dogs as if they were their own. Two weeks ago I had to travel for a week and needed someone to look after Bruno. It was his first time being away from home by himself and I did not know what to expect. I entrusted Bruno to Bone Jour's team and he spent a week in his "boarding camp" there while I was overseas, visiting my family. He definitely missed his home when I picked him up, but after a week of being at home and catching up on his sleep, he was excited to go back to Bone Jour and see his friends again. I definitely give Bone Jour 5 stars for a wonderful and friendly environment, great indoor and outdoor play areas, caring and attentive staff. I recommend Bone Jour to my friends and all dog owners that I meet here in Bethesda. Becky, Jennifer, Michelle, Lisa , Caroline , David and all team members at Bone Jour, THANK YOU for all you do for our community :)

Love Glenda who has been grooming my dogs for years. I followed her from last employer to BJ. She is so kind and does an amazing job. I have never had an issue with her grooms.The BJ staff is always friendly and kind. Love their energy and obvious love they show their four legged clients.

Bone Jour did an amazing job with my poodle! The friendly front desk gals asked us plenty of questions and exactly how we wanted his hair done. We had the full groom including nails, and added a teeth brushing as well. My pup seemed extremely happy and looked great when we picked him up! Can’t recommend them enough.

We LOVE Bone Jour. Eddie (9month old Mini Bernedoodle) has been going there for daycare for about 2 months. Lisa and Caroline are the best - so warm and caring and awesome with all the dogs. The entire staff are all so friendly. Next week Eddie getting his teeth cleaned and then groomed the next day. I highly recommend Bone Jour. Your dog will love it too🐾

We brought our 9 year old Husky to Bone Jour and it was clear they treated him like royalty. He came out so clean and fluffy! They also apparently have a dog whisperer on staff as they were able to do his nails without any issues (something we've never been able to do). While signing him up was a bit of a processes, clearly it's all there because they care. The staff struck a great balance between professional and personable. Would absolutely take him back again!

Our pup had two uneventful visits to Bone Jour with below-average cuts that I had to touch up at home but we were mostly content. On her third trip, she was injured at the groomer and their response was incredibly disappointing. As soon as we got home from the groomer, we noticed that one eye was covered in blood (coagulated blood over the "third eyelid"). I called the vet immediately and they provided a treatment to prevent infection (and luckily our pup recovered over several days). I also contacted the groomer immediately and, while they expressed concern and said that a manager would contact me, no one ever did. I contacted Bone Jour again several days later and was told that they had asked the groomer but did not know of any incidents. While they said that they felt terrible and would cover the vet bill, they never did. Nor did they ever check in to see that our pup recovered. During my conversations with them, I was also really dismayed to find out that while they required that my pup be there from early morning until mid-afternoon for each visit, she was crated nearly the entire time. I had assumed that people in this business loved animals and cared for them. Seems like Bone Jour might be an exception.

Our dog loves going to Bone Jour & they always take great care of her. The staff will often give you a run down of everything your dog got up to that day. I think their best USP is that they do activities with the dogs and take them out for pee break walks around the block. In the summer they do water play time outside to keep the dogs cool.My only gripe is that they don’t often answer the phone, which can be really frustrating at times! One time we were running late for pick up and tried calling about 4 x in a half hour period and it just went to voicemail. If they could fix this issue then this would be a 5 star review for sure!

Our doodle is a handful but bone jour does a great job with him. He is more poodle In hair than a golden but the cut is always great! It could not be easier to take and drop off. Really happy with the service they provide.

We visit Bonejour for both grooming and day care. We have been so grateful to be able to take our dog somewhere that loves dogs, takes good care of them, and offers a variety of services to include boarding if needed. Everyone knows Wriggly by name and welcomes him every time he visits. Whether he is groomed or exhausted from day care, he can’t wait to go back!Update: just wanted to briefly update my review! Recently, we were able to use the boarding services and also had a great experience. Wriggly was exceedingly well taken care of during his stay. He came home happy and exhausted from all the playtime he got! Not only was he well taken care of, but everyone was so kind to us and helped managed our nerves as this was Wriggly’s first time in boarding. All in all, a great experience.

Bone Jour is a special place. We’ve been sending our dogs there for 18 years. The grooming is spectacular and the day care is our dog’s favorite place! The staff is professional, friendly and helpful. The pick up and drop off couldn’t be easier and our dog rushes in every time we take her! 💗🐶

I am extremely disappointed with this company and will not be giving them any of my business. I booked my dog through the online daycare portal for a full day and put payment on file. Then tried calling to confirm but couldn’t get through to anyone.I walk in today and am left waiting five minutes until a young woman finally came out and barely looked up from her phone to ask what I needed. I told her we were booked and she told me she could not keep my animal the full day and that the owner had other dogs to worry about and wanted to go home for the holiday weekend. My needs were not met or listened to and she barely looked up from her phone while I told her this wasn’t something we were notified of at all, through the voice system on the phone, through the website or anywhere else.When I voiced my concern, I was barely listened to and she “went in the back” to speak to the manager and see if there would be a solution. Came back shortly after saying that there was nothing they could do and no one answered. So now on a holiday weekend I was left unable to attend to a family emergency and also ignored and looked down upon. No care for their customers and clearly more concerned about themselves over the dogs they claim to put first.I also said that they’d be losing my business and all I got back was a smirk. It’s unfortunate because with convenient hours like that, I would’ve signed my dog up for a package. They then said there’s another place a few miles away I could take my dog if I really wanted.

I read all reviews and I confidently decided to take my puppy for the first bath outside of home to Bone Jour hoping that it would be a great experience for her. It all started since December when I tried to do an appointment and the day before I called to ask something. They said they didn't have me on schedule and of course there were no spots available at that point for a next day appointment. I was upset and decided not to reschedule at the time. Then, on January out of the blue, I received an email reminding about my appointment. Of course I didn’t do it, but I guess when they tried to schedule it on December they messed up the month and left me for January. I had just given her a bath so I decided to cancel but then give them a second chance because I thought that was an honest mistake and it was a better excuse that not had been scheduled initially at all. This time reschedule it for February.Given that it was my puppy’s first bath away from home we arrived before 7 am for her to be the first in line for grooming and therefore the first one out. They told me that was the way to go and probably she would be out in a couple of hours but they would give me a call when they were done. At 11:30 am, worried I had not received the call yet, I called and they said they were still working on her and that I should plan to arrive at noon. After 5 hours she smelled amazing but my poor dog was very thirsty and depressed! When she arrived home, she just was lying on the floor alone after drinking water like there was no tomorrow. She would not let us touch her paws and moved away every time we got close to them. After a closer inspection we noticed that they cut a couple of nails too short and you could tell she bled on them. Also, some nails were even cut weirdly sideways so I actually needed to go back and redo them because she was getting herself tangled with everything and was crying every time she walked on the carpet. I really don’t know what happened but at this point I actually don’t know if I want to know. Very sad and disappointed about the service.

We have been taking our Newfoundland here for a while now and are very pleased with Bone Jour. They consistently understand and respond to questions and requests quickly, and their ability to communicate effectively is on par with the quality of grooming. A rare breed.

We brought our French bulldog and our Shih Tzu here last week (the end of June 2018) and had a tremendous experience. The staff was wonderful right from the moment we checked in, shortly after 8am. Both dogs were finished and looked amazing 2 1/2 hours later. Great experience - we highly recommend them! We had trouble finding a groomer we liked after our move to DC from LA - we finally found a place we love and the dogs were so excited walking in and so happy after their grooming too. See you in a few weeks for our pups next grooming visit Bone Jour!

My 9 year old poodle did well here until they became too busy. I can not get an appointment with in a week and though we have been clients for years it is time to move on. Now after having the dog cut and giving them another chance I am gone. I wish them the best

I have been taking my 26 lb minuature goldendoodle here for some time now. They are always so conscientious about following my detailed instructuons. I love that my dog doesn't have to stay in a kennel while being groomed by either choosing a "straight through" appt. or paying to have her in doggy daycare running around between the parts of her appt. Customer service is amazing. I loathe making phone calls and appreciate that I can make my appointment via email.My only complaint and reason for not 5 stars is it is so amazingly difficult to get an appointment. You really do have to plan out ahead. So, if you need an emergency cleaning (you know doggo got into the mud) this is not the place for that. But it is so amazingly wonderful in so many other ways i wishing I could give 4.5 stars instead of docking them a full star, but I cant give 5 full stars.

My daughter was in to have her dog groomed on Friday and when we came to pick up her dog the groomer said she had a bloody eye that was there when we dropped her off which was not true. It definitely happened when she was being groomed. We took her to the veteran after we left and was told it was trama to the eye that had just happened. Mistakes happen but don't lie about it. I am writing this to warn others before they use you as a groomer. Very unprofessional.

This pet shop is adorable and the staff is super friendly. I also like the fact it's new and CLEAN for doggie day care and grooming. I feel like it's the cleanest doggie day care I've seen in the DMV and love the fact they stay on top of shots/immunization so all dogs are safe! You definitely should park in the garage across the street because the street meters always seem to have the city ticketing.

Absolutely would never take my dogs there again. They don't wash all of the soap out which results in flakes of it coming off all over the couch where the dogs lay. Last time they charged me over $50 more than normal without even calling in advance to say the dogs were "hairier than normal", thus more work and more money. Completely absurd. Don't even get me started on the pain in the neck it is for parking. The lot is always full so street parking in DT Bethesda is your only other option. Good Luck.
