I went in because I wanted to see what the self wash stations were like. I watched and saw one being used and talked to the couple who were using it and they loved it I thought it looked clean and spacious. Then I went up and down every row I was very impressed with all of the options for treats and food and Health products. The prices were reasonable and for some of my specialized foods comparable. An associate helped me find a good chew treat for my pitbull and my German Shepherd because usually one finishes before the other and I finally have something that's pretty even. The cashier was lovely and noticed my popsocket that had the pictures of my two dogs on it and when she asked if I would like to sign up for the rewards program I was all in. I'm excited to bring my dogs in for a visit.

The staff here were incredibly kind and helpful during the grand opening event where we received numerous free items that enabled us to try out various food choices. My dog particularly enjoyed the self-wash station as it calmed his nerves compared to being bathed by someone he didn't know. It's comforting to know there is also an onsite grooming service if needed. The prices on everything are great and reasonable they even have close out deals, extra discounts and even coupons which makes it amazing because PetSmart and Petco doesn't do that half of the time.

My review is based 100% on the aquatics department. Based on the customer service & experience here is why I gave it a two star review because the staff for the most part has been helpful. However my experience on the aquatic section is broken down from the soft opening day until today when I went in for dog food. During the soft opening the staff was taking fish out of the tanks using solo cups. When I asked about the clip on container he told me he was taught the cup and bag of water method. I told him you’ll be here all day catching a fish while someone holds the bag. Fast forward they got the containers.I went back a week later on a Friday. I needed crickets. The guy in the area who was feeding reptiles never looked up or acknowledged me, but I immediately noticed that the Cichlid tank had fish with ich. The parrot cichlids are notorious for it during transport. “Sir, your fish here are sick” to which he said “I don’t know, I’ve not made it over there” I said okay well they have Ich.I asked someone else how do they treat fish here if the tank is sick does it shut down the tower? I was told fish are removed from the tank to a quarantine tank in the back. Fine, but Ich spreads in the water system so whatever tanks are connected would be sick.I go in two days later, now I see more fish sick in the same tank plus the tank next to it. A customer is now trying to buy fish, but I told her don’t do it unless you have a QT at home. I showed her the sick fish (guppy) in the tank. I then ask for the store manager or GM. I ask her what’s the protocol for treating them because as of right now, none of the tanks say not for sale. People are trying to buy fish from tanks where sick fish are. 80% of customers DO NOT quarantine new fish and they don’t know what sickness looks like.Now, it’s been a week. I go in today, and what do I see? 5 tanks sick with Ich because nobody is following whatever protocol they have. I told the guy tonight in my first picture taken a week ago, only two were sick. If the temp on all tanks was raised and being treated they would have gotten better.At this point, I saw 3 fish that just can’t recover and need clove oil ASAP. I’m sad to see that these fish are worse. No signs up indicating not for sale, and that my feedback has gone unnoticed.I’m more than happy to visit & lend my knowledge to the aquatic staff. But, none of the fish in those two towers should be sold because I saw too many fish with ick. You don’t want someone with $300 discus wiping them out!It’s now almost a month and the fish still have ick with more fish now sick in other tanks. The store continues to sell sick fish to customers coming in. I had already spoken to the store manager who at the time when I spoke to her didn’t even know what ick looked like. The temperature of the tank still has not been raised which is one of the first things we do when treating it in the fish tanks how is it that the store is still selling extremely sick fish and why is this OK, I would prefer to speak to somebody who is a District Manager at this point. The store has to have an animal care specialist or external department.

My kids had been asking for fish for a long time. I finally decided to splurge, and I was so excited that Pet Supplies Plus had EVERYTHING we needed to get started. I was absolutely clueless, but their store manager, Katie, talked me through everything. I got the proper tank with all the accessories, filter, light, water test kit, food, and of course the fish! The prices were fair compared to the same quality stuff anywhere else, and the customer service was excellent. As a bonus, my kids got to explore all the other pets they sell in the store. (Oops, we might need a guinea pig now!)

I just visited Pet Supplies Plus in Beltsville for the first time today. The store’s appearance was clean and organized, and Sofia helped me to sign up for membership when I checked out. She was very nice.

I went to see the dog washing and grooming areas of the store. They were very clean and had all the necessary supplies. The store also has lots of choices in foods, toys, and other necessary supplies for dogs. I didn't really look at the cat and other pet supplies, but there seemed to be a large choice.

Alex(the groomer) she is so amazing treated my bully with so much love an attention at her first groomer appointment with her. Definitely be back a they sell open farm kibble which is very rare to find in pet stores.

Very large selection, good prices, and the staff are all wonderful. It's great to have people who are knowledgeable and helpful, and just seem to like their jobs. I only bought stuff last visit, but will be returning for dog nail trims and baths.

All of the team members are extremely kind and helpful. Lauren did an amazing job grooming my dog and taking care of him in the process. Definitely going back to take advantage of their wash station.

Had the opportunity to wash my Great Pyrenees in their bathing station, my pups loved it. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Looking forward to going back.

Very nice store that was needed in the neighborhood. Alex the groomer was super nice and helpful, and the cashier James was as well. Great customer service and the staff were very welcoming.

The manager followed me around like I was gonna steal something. Once I pulled out a receipt & showed Daniel how much I spent & only came there to get dog tag engraved he changed his tune. He was so out of line that he walked me to my car then texted me because he had my number from a receipt. He seemed high out of his mind.The time before, I had Emily help me who was super 👌.
