This used to be my favorite location in Harford county and I would go out of my way to go here, but no more. I love ShopRite and will still go to the festival location but Riverside has lost my business.They have recently remodeled and after many years of everything being in the same spot and a traffic flow that made sense the entire store has been completely messed up. Not only are items not where they used to be, their current location makes absolutely no sense, foods that are used together are located in completely different aisles and there is no flow or harmony to locations or the store. This was a great store with friendly staff, clean and easy to navigate and in your effort to improve things you completely broke the shopping experience.

I travel all over the US and this is the first grocery store I have ever been to that refused to scan a courtesy card for me so I could get the sale prices while traveling. Insulting and unheard of. I will never shop here again. Just a terrible image for your store, from someone that may have spent a LOT of money here and now will go somewhere else.

While the staff is always 100% amazing I have to say the store is ALWAYS empty products wise when I go in here. To give you the context this is my neighborhood store and my husband and I are in there almost every single day but they are always out of stuff. It's becoming a tad annoying!Update: They have gotten a lot better with keeping things in stock! They've changed the store around so I feel like I'm in a brand new store. I have to relearn where everything is but it looks great!! Kudos!!Update to the update: Stuff is almost always in stock these days! I love it!!

I deleted my previous review. I don't know if there is new management or qhats going on but recently this store has made me feel uncomfortable. Let me be clear I've been going here for 7 years and never felt uncomfortable and even gave praise in my previous review. The last couple months this store has made me feel like a criminal. I'm at self checkout the other day, and I'm buying diapers and other things. I scan the diapers 1st so I can get it out the way. 1st. Then proceed to scan the rest of my items. The lady approaches me and says you don't want these. Talking about the diapers I'm confused as to why she would think that because I placed them on the rack of already scanned and I say no I'm getting those. She then tells me it's not showing on my screen. I scroll down my screen to the top and she's like oh okay. I don't feel comfortable in this store anymore. I let that go because she had the right one I'm not confrontational. Yet the last couple of times I've been in here I've felt like I'm being targeted and I've never ever took anything from this store that I haven't paid for. I don't know who this new cast of people are but if it continues to happen I will be reaching out to someone.

It really stinks when the closest grocery store to you is the worst. This is where we go based on proximity but tonight was the tip of the iceberg and I will not be back. I have lived here for 5 years and ShopRite has always been more expensive than its competitors, but it's so convenient I usually turn a blind eye to the prices. Their selection is fine, sometimes deals are great, sometimes. Over the last few months they have been making changes to their layout, which is great when it makes the shopper experience better. Tonight I walked in to a store that was basically flipped and scrambled in a pretty asinine way. That being said, as a creature of habit, I can totally understand my own frustrations probably heightened my irritation, that is until check out.There are roughly 9 self check out lanes and maybe 7 or 8 manned stations, may be more or less, I'm not sure because I don't think I've seen more than 3 open at any given time. Mind you, it is almost 9 pm on a Saturday so the store is dead. There is 1 checkout lane open and as I go to check out, no one is at the register. Okay... not ideal, but self checkout it is. ShopRite's new policy is 20 items or less for self checkout, totally understandable. Except your only manned station has no one there. There, again, are 9 self checkouts... and no one in the store. I had about 27 items. Definitely more than the limit, but nowhere else for me to checkout. I am ringing up my items, nothing big or crazy and am about 6 or 7 items in when the attendant working self checkout tells me that this aisle is reserved for 20 items or less. I explain that I understand but there is no one at regular checkout, who is now back and has 2 people in her line, and there is no one behind me. She then says, I know, but 20 items or less... let me void that for you and you can head over to regular checkout. She proceeds to step to my register, void my transaction and send me on my way. I had to pack up the things I had already scanned back into my cart to re check out at another station. Maybe I sound ridiculous but I am flabbergasted at the ridiculousness of the situation at this overpriced low end grocery store.

They treat their customers like criminals now, after jacking up food prices enough they spent at least tens of thousands of dollars to remodel it and who knows how much on an anti-theft system that keeps accusing me of theft. Their selection is bad too. Would not recommend.

Great service at your pharmacy department. Felicia one of the Pharmacists here is fantastic. I shop here mostly for convenience and I'm usually reasonably happy with the selection and prices, but recently their quality has been such a disappointment. I went grocery shopping on Oct 30, and almost all of the Bowl & Basket white sandwich bread had a "best by" date of Oct 26, so they were 4 days past their shelf life and still on the shelves and full-priced. I was able to reach back and find the only loaf that had a date of Nov 4. This morning (Nov 2), I went to make a sandwich and the bread was moldy already, 2 days before its "best by" date. I hate throwing half a loaf of bread away and having to buy takeout at lunch just because ShopRite's bread is abyssmal. I do store the bread in a dark, temperate pantry, so I'm not doing anything to accelerate the expiration either, and I also would like to point out that this is not a one-time occurrence, unfortunately. I'm leaning towards switching grocery stores completely to avoid having to throw away my items halfway through the week.

Another customer grabbed my pizza thinking it was his order and ran out the door so thru made me another one and I'm pretty sure they added a lot more toppings in it then the first one probably had so I can't complain. Definitely worth the wait. Pizza was amazing especially if my daughter ate a lot of it

It's OK. The produce section is better than other stores nearby. It mostly has everything else you need but doesn't really have any good sales lately. I would rather go to Food Lion 15 minutes away, which has better prices, sales, and promotions.

This plaza is like a one stop shop just bigger lol.. the only thing they don't have any more is the pet store but other than that that's definitely my go to shopping center.. I even visited the urgent care last week for my asthma..

The parking lot is always too busy, there’s always a lot going on. However, this parking lot does have security that rides around. There is free air for tires at the tire shop, ShopRite is there for local grocery shopping, and Waffle House is within the parking lot making it a very resourceful shopping plaza. Not to mention, there are medical facilities, fast food restaurants, and a pharmaceutical store like Rite Aid or something similar.

Waffle house service wasn't good. I had to ask for a menu, most of the workers were outside smoking. My steak wasn't not served with my food. I will never eat here again!

Prices are pretty tough unless you shop with coupons for sales often. If you do, then the review could go as high as 5 stars, but since I don't use them very often, most other supermarkets in the area offer better prices on the regular.

The usual waffle house food. Really liked the hash browns. Don't go here if you have a heart condition. The waiter was excellent. Friendly and doing his job to the max. I wish everyone took this much pride in doing a good job.
