Great store, incredibly friendly, kind and patient employees. I bought my sewing machine here, the representatives helped me figure out what I needed and I finally felt confident to buy a new one. A sewing machine really is something you should try out in person to see if you like it.I also had my scissors sharpened here and they're like new again!

Don't place a online order with this company especially a holiday decor one .. Company will not refund even though they apparently have issues getting the item shipped said you can return it after you get it (even though its not left their facility ) but at the rate they are shipping it, i won't get it till after the holiday which of course they won't take holiday items on return after the holiday . Shady buisness practices and terrible customer service .. I ended up ordering from Micheals they had no problem full filling the order in a reasonable time frame ..

This is the best Joann Store I have ever been in. The bright lights allow you to see the product better and there is a sections for every category (crafting, sewing, art, cooking home good, floral)etc. ALL JOANN STORES NEED TO BE REMODEL LIKE THIS. Driving from PA to Bel Air MD was well worth the trip

The only negative thing is going to be my bank account lol. I went here 2days agoIt is a Crafter's heaven. This store is Huge! Big selection of products. Very friendly workers. I had a negative experience at Parkville but I will drive the 1hr distance. I loved the Belair location

Nice store but 8x out of 10x, the checkout staff are rude, flustered, never seem to know what's going on or work the register correctly. I dread checking out! Got screamed at yesterday bc I had 2 coupons and didn't know which one I had used. Would have been simple to check but she flat out refused. Will start going to Hobby Lobby now, I can't take the stress!

Excellent covid practices. I would have given 5 stars had they had BAGS for purchases. Yes, no bags. Supposedly they've been out a week. Corporate needs to get it right!! I complained and was given a trash bag ( better than nothing) for my 8 skeins of yarn. It was snowing and l complained that they need to get something for people to put their items in. Disappointed with this place.

The customer service at this location is subpar and should be addressed. Angela was condescending while attempting to help me. Maybe she was having a bad day or just ready to leave for the day. She repeatedly said the item I was looking for was not here and that she had never seen it before in her life. She halfway showed me where a "similar item" was, which turned out not to be related at all. When I told her that the website said there was 42 items in stock for what I needed, she proceeded to ask if I meant that location. Eventually, she found what I was looking for but blamed my word choice for her difficulties. Even though I called the item by it's name and showed her in the app several times.Kim was the only redeeming factor. She was pleasant and kind.I probably will not return to this location.

Wow, this store was sooooo dirty!!!!!!! They have a huge selection of arts and craft supplies, but I couldn't get over how dirty the store was. That reflects poorly on management. I was only here because my grandma needed to get something. I'm an artistic person, but I didn't wanna come back to this store. Looks like I might have to, because there's a lady in my grandma's apartment building who crochets, and she said she could make me a pair of thigh high netted socks, so I have to pick out the yarn that I want. Their yarn selection is amazing. I guess I can stand to be in there for 20 minutes or so. If the manager reads this - please clean your store!!

I haven't had any issues at this store until today when I went in there to grab a few things. I just got into sewing and I have been going here to get fabric at least once a month.Today, I lost my ticket after they cut my fabric. I told the lady at the register that it was only 1 yard, but she claimed she could not process it without the ticket so she offered for me to check around the store to see where it may have dropped. I walked around the entire store 3 times. No ticket.However, I did notice one thing that I saw in someone say in another review: this location is really dirty. There was trash everywhere. Someone seriously needs to sweep their floor.I never found my ticket and the lady seemed to be annoyed that I no longer wanted to fabric since I did not find the ticket nor did I want to go back and get it re-measured.It isn't my fault she wouldn't take my word for it when I said it was 1 yard. I think I will either start only doing curbside orders at this store or stop shopping here. It is extremely dirty.

When did training and customer service go out the window? I stopped after work to pick up a stand for a project. Two employees in the entire store. I asked the employee at the check out counter. She looked the item on her phone, and checked the store inventory. She told me that the item was in the store, but she didn't know where. She suggested that I start in the back left of the store and look along the back wall. The woman cutting fabric told me to look along the right wall. After walking the entire perimeter of the store, I asked another person. She was not a Joann's employee, but was with the sewing machines. She directed me to what I needed. I never thought shopping for a simple product would bring me to tears. You get an A+ for frustration.

I love this place! It's literally my playground and I spend way to much here. The JoAnn's staff is great, and the huskvarnna people are so fun. Go here with a list and a set amount of money, or come out broke ☺2023 update: The store has changed so much but is easier to move around the isles. Still great and knowledgeable staff, unfortunately inflation has changed the prices, but there are great coupons and deals.

They had exactly what I was looking for, for my embroidery project. Only downside was that the check out like took like 15 min. It wasn’t that they were understaffed cause we probably saw like 25 employees in the small store so they must not have been allocating then correctly.

Love shopping at JoAnn in Bel Air; however, their price check stations never work. Not sure what the issue is. So frustrating. With many places, they are short staffed, and it is not always easy to find an employee to scan an item for you. Would be soooooo much better for customers if the many already established price check stations were up and running. The "out of order" signs are on ALL of the stations and have been for quite some time.

Closes well before the advertised hour of 9PM. Lost at least 300 dollars in sales tonight. I also ran into the automatic doors and hurt my shoulder.Bad customer service.I want to change my review. Because I could not get the item I wanted, I came home and went to the company website. They did not have the exact item I wanted, but had one that does the exact same thing ( Cricut Maker)....at 300 dollars less.Joann's, by closing at 8:40 saved me 300 dollars!!!!What great customer service!!!!!!

They were understaffed and we had a hard time finding what we wanted. The prices were pretty much the norm for this type of store. The cashiers worked as quickly as they could but there were problem customers who held things up and there were only 2 cashiers working. I only saw one employee in the back and she was cutting fabric and she had a line of people to assist. I will go again but during a time when they are better staffed

ZERO STARSI use alot of craft and fabric materials. Went to Joans almost twice a week for 3 to 4 months.They have a better selection than Micheals, but boy oh boy do they have an attitude problem with their staff.Especially the older women in the morning. The kids who take the afternoon slot are great.One would think it would be reverse.I had a couple of negative encounters with morning staff that were negative, i.e. not helpful, speak to you like your bothering them, once i waited 40mins for an item in the back someone was looking for and she never came out to check if i was still there or update me, and i walked to the back, near the toilets several times and could see this woman doing other things, i wave at her and i was completely ignored.What finally broke my back with this store,is they stacked a couple of ceramic pots behind a wrong lable, probably 15 pots in total, and lable had them for clearance at $4.2 each from $7. So i grabbed a couple, got to till, and as usual these ladies were churppie with white folk, but when i came up, no hello, no churppieness, just straight business. As soon as i paid, back to chruppiness with tge next white folk behind me.This happened to me many times, but i feel more sorry for racists, than get offended by them.I got to my car, look at my reciept and saw the ceramics were charged full price. So i walked back in, waited in line as the pleasantries with the white folk continued, and on my turn, cold attitude, so i told the lady i was charged full price for a clearance item and she immediatly began to scream at me, speaking so loud, tellibg me it was not a sale item. Calmly i told her, well its stacked in wrong place then, and she without checking kept arguing, saying customers out stuff in wrong places. I ubderstand this, but told her bot in this case coz there were 15 items or more stacked behind a clearance lable. She started walking rudly askibg me where tge stack was, i ked her to it all the time she was shouting bout how i should understand its not clearance. We get there and just as i said, all behind a clearance tag, marked down to $4. Without hesitation she rips off pushes the tag to the right under another item and starts saying the tag is for the product to the left, and i should learn to read the fine print on the tag. So at this point i had enough, told her to give me back my money, and keep her goods and she started screaming for me to make uo my mind, do i want the discount or goods back. I started shouting back, coz this lady, old enough to be my grandma was taking me for a ride. I am old school, you respect elders, even if they are wrong, but this lady did it. She refused ti serve me telling me to move out the way so she can serve another customer, i refused to move from that till, until i got my full refund, the next customer, white lady, joins a discussion she was not in, walks uo to me and says move, i tell her to back off if she knows whats good for her, the rude emoloyee opens another till, calls the manager, and is talking rudly about me with the customer who tried to take my spot.It took all of my strength to stop me from climbing round the till and decking her.She was old, racist and mean. But she would not move me out of my charector.The manager of that day was sweet, apologizing while her staff kept making comments about me. I calmly told her manager how sorrowful it is, that that old woman thinks a row of counters and thin pexi-glass can protect her. She was all high and mighty behind there. I returned all items on my $49 bill back to them and have never and will never set foot in that store again.N.B. There is a lovely older lady by fabrics. She was alway kind and pleasant

I have been to this location multiple times, before their remodel and after, and every single time they seem understaffed and disorganized. There’s literally never anyone to help you in the aisles if you need help and there’s always an insane line at the counter that takes way too long. I’m writing this review after trying to purchase some scrap booking items and was standing in line for over 20 minutes and had only moved halfway to the front of it. There was only one cashier working and no other employees in sight. I probably wouldn’t have wrote this review if this was the first time this has happened but it was at least the third. I wasn’t the only person in line who gave up and put my items down and walked out. I think customer service is a HUGE part of shopping at stores. If I knew I would have been waiting so long I would have went to Michaels or ordered online.

This Joanns just had a complete remodel! Lovely! Everything is in different places! But the staff is very helpful and pleasant about being asked over and over where things are. Found everything I needed. I was surprised there was no wait at the cashier. She was very helpful and kind and gave me my military discount

I'm glad hobby lobby opened in the area. This store is very understaffed. Don't bother with coupons, they won't bother looking up their own store codes. Staff will tell you it just won't work.

Disorganized and completely rearranged from before. No signs at the ends of aisles to find anything. They remodelled almost 2 months ago, I guess signs are no longer fashionable. Line at the check-out was almost 2 dozen people. Maybe their intention was to encourage people to shop online. Just so I say something nice, the store is well-lit and clean.

Selection amazingVery poor customer service. I order an in store pickup for one item at 4:45 pm, never received a email stating it was ready to be picked up. So I went to the around 8:00 pm I took the item from the aisle, took it to the cash register, informed her that I came to pick up an order and I only brought the item to her because I never received a pickup email. So she said let me checked to see if it was pulled for you, granted I knew no one pulled for me to pick it up because the online stock said it was only 6 and it was 6 when I went to the aisle, no apology or anything for not processing my order.I told the cashier that she had something in her hair, she jump back and I don't want to be touched...and kindly responded Ma'am I don't want to touch you. It came across a little racist. I will probably never return to that store ever again.

The checkout line is slow moving EVERY time we go. However, the staff is always friendly and provides good customer service. We can almost always find a coupon for our purchase so we usually get a pretty good value each visit.

rude employees! Manager (Amanda) made up a lie that curbside pickup stops after 6 so they could be lazy, and gave me an attitude when asking about my order. will be calling corporate. also watched her berate and attempt to embarrass another black woman in the store in front of everyone in line over a simple misunderstanding.and i watched the curbside employee running stuff out to others and its funny because as soon as i got in line to get my stuff she grabs mine to run out to my car. okay, so i thought there were no curbside after 6pm? Yeah. Caught the manager in a lie simply because she didn’t feel like doing her job. A shame, im typically very understanding especially during these times but when met with an attitude it ruins that for me

I really like the newly decorated store.Great selection of merchandise excellent help from the staff. Check out was wonderful and easy. The girl at check out went way beyond what was necessary to help me.I had a really good experience. Will definitely go back.

I went to Jo-Ann's in the middle of the day to pick up a couple of items. the line was astronomically long the wait was over 45 minutes just to get to the cashier. They only had two cash registers open. It ate up my entire lunch hour I do not recommend going to Jo-Ann's anytime soon they apparently do not have enough help for the holiday season.

Love to go to JoAnn Fabrics! A bit pricey but look for coupons and you'll always find great deals. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My daughter love the wide selection of yarn that they have. The books is what I find are too expensive. I love the selection of artificial flowers. Like to change them depending on the season.
