Stopped to get groceries at 8 PM at night. I was checking out in the self check out when I felt like somebody was watching me and I turned around and it was the self checkout attendant was watching me check everything out and pay and then once I finished paying, walked past me, didn’t say a word, I had to smile at him for him to smile at me. I get that you guys have a shop lifting issue, but I don’t need to feel like a criminal trying to shop. There’s already security cameras. I was wearing a sweater cause it’s raining as usual and my wallet was in my pouch. If you had more than one check out line I could go through that but yeah you run a skeleton crew during the day and night and both checks outs usually have lines. Whoever you have working nights is not warm or friendly like your day crew. Will not be shopping here again. You charge way too much for this to feel like a Walmart.

The 5 stars I gave them dropped to 1. I applied for a job and as soon as I mentioned I had a disability, they said they weren’t hiring. District Manager called, left me message. I called back within 5 minutes and two weeks later no call back. Time to find me a disability attorney

Clean, organized, and friendly. Prices were good, all things considered. Lots of friendly staff on registers, so no waiting in line! Great produce and overall selection. Happy!

I love this Giant Food store. I'm disabled and use a powered wheelchair to get around. I've experienced nothing but friendly staff and customers. They offer to help whether it looks like I need it or if I ask all are willing to help. When I go in to shop I go to the customer service counter and let them know I am shopping. If I don't recognize anyone there I'll explain to them what I'm doing As I fill one of my reusable grocery bag I take it back to customer service and they put it aside for me. I use the Giant Scan App on my cell phone. So when I'm done shopping I go through one of the self checkout or any of the other lines (you'll just need to hand your cell phone to the cashier if you used scan app). I select checkout now in the App. I then scan the barcode which is generated by the App. It's also linked to my bonus card and coupons I've clipped. I pay and finish checkout, go to customer service, get my bags I've been dropping off and ask for help to get my purchases to my car. They put my bags into my car for me and I'm finished. In the past I've tried to do everything myself and just ended up hurting myself. By packing my own bags as I shop I don't have any "bagging" issues. No smashed bread, etc. If I'm not going to get much I can attach the grocery bags on my wheelchair and I don't use customer service to drop off my bags. I also like saving 20 - 30 cents per gallon when I fill up my car with gas. Did you know they have fruit in baskets in and around produce that contains free fruit for children. You don't need to be disabled to get help either. Need to buy 3 cases of bottled water, etc. Just go to customer service or when you checkout the cashier can take care of you. Cashier will ring it up for you, have someone go back and get it off the shelf for you and have someone put it into your car for you, just ask. Even when I'm in the parking lot either putting my wheelchair on/off my lift people will ask if I need assistance. Besides groceries the sell flowers potted and arrangements, plants, herbs, balloons, stamps, gift cards, lottery, seasonal merchandise, bakery (made to order cakes etc) with the best double chocolate chip muffins you'll ever eat. You'll find them just in front of the bakery counter on large muffin pans inside a display. I've tried some of the other muffins and they are excellent. Be advised they also make chocolate chip muffins and while great I love the Double Chocolate Chip muffins even more.

I go to the Store in Bel Air MD most days to get food at the hot bar and salad bar. The sign says its open everyday at 11 but most days i got in after Noon and nothing is out or available. They don't change the signs to say the hot bar isn't open. I spoke to the Manager of the store and she said the some time put it out closer to noon. I pointed out it was 1pm and she was unaware that the hot bar was not open. It appears the Deli manager is making the call to not open the bar or open it late everyday. I have decided to get lunch elsewhere now

Deli: the only person who know how to cut and package meat is Bev. She’s the best. Bev gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️There’s another lady that works during the week that’s pretty great too. Kelly. But weekends. Mehhh… I’ve gotten way too much weirdly cut meat and cheese.Pharmacy: 5 stars. They rock, love them all. They know me by name and I appreciate that! The rest of the store: they closed off the second entrance and the machines are super sensitive at self check out. So it’s a super pain in the butt to get in and out.I love the products here, as they are high quality but they make it so hard to get them.

Terrible customer service!!! Their self-checkout machines never work correctly (and you are forced to use them since there is no one working at the registers) Today at the self-checkout, I had trouble with every single item I scanned, so about 15 items, the employee had to come over and fix the error on the machine every single time. Two of the times I had to sit and wait for the employee to walk back to the aisle to get a similar item to try to scan. Then my phone number wasn’t being accepted to get the couple cent discount on the total, and finally my payment wasn’t being accepted- even though the funds were there. So the employee said he had to get his manager, so we stood around for 5 minutes until one walked over finally. But this woman (short, grey hair, glasses) was more concerned with fixing the machine then getting me checked out, even though I had been standing there for 30 minutes at that point wasting my time. The machine was more important to her. She never even apologized for the inconvenience or anything. I ended up just checking myself out at a different self checkout because it was obvious no one cared enough to help me out. Absolutely ridiculous. You all lost a frequent customer today!!!!

I have been a customer of this Giant Food store for more than 30 years, but recent changes, all in the name of security, have made it a lot less pleasant to shop there. In addition to one of the two entry doors being permanently closed, the self-service checkouts are now limited to no more than 20 items, and shoppers who use their own bags must enter the number of bags they intend to use before they begin scanning their purchases. Three times during the checkout process, a store employee had to reset the scanner because my bag moved slightly while I was loading it...ridiculous. I appreciate the challenges merchants face these days, but is this new security posture worth losing longtime customers?

Always a nice friendly atmosphere that makes getting that shopping list complete a little less hectic.

This store is definitely taking advantage of the inflated prices by inflating theirs even further than their competitors. They are the closest store to me so I occasionally go there out of convenience but I always regret it when I see the bill, plus I have had to take Food back that has gone bad before the expiration date. This is not an issue when I shop at Wegman's or Shoprite. Last time I was there I paid $9 for rice! Nope. Done.

The people here are always friendly. Prices are a little high. The self-checkouts require way too much interaction. Many places now, you tap your phone, and walk out. Too many questions to answer and too many buttons to push. No contact, please.

The store was well stocked and had all the items needed to make my meal. Bev in the deli was wonderful as always cutting my deli meat to perfection. Debbie up front was pleasant and funny as always. A much better experience this time around.

I'm generally disappointed when I go into this Giant. They either don't have what I'm looking for, or some other incident of ridiculousness happens. And my God, the prices!I only go in for emergencies anymore.

Awesome!! Very friendly staff, just got in by the door, an employee greeted me. Aside from regular food, they have also lots of organic fruits and vegetables..lots of different cheeses to choose from, quality of meat are exceptional, food prices are not bad, it's affordable. I like it and will recommend to friends and family.

This store has everything you can imagine including the usual items you find in most grocery stores along with an extensive instore bakery, pharmacy, deli, seafood counter and a variety of store made sandwiches and subs, soups both hot and cold. There is also a floral department. Well run, well organized with great signage on each aisle. Very friendly and courteous staff.

Depends who you talk to in my family, but Giant is MY go-to grocery store in Bel Air. Away from the downtown congestion but still a busy shopping center, Giant is where I know things are IN STOCK. A good seafood dept, vastly improved organic and gluten free selection, pharmacy and florist! You can do money orders here, they have a CoinStar and LOTTERY machine! Lines are usually short, self checkout has expanded recently too. Giant's got it all..classic grocery store doesnt disappoint. Good job Giant 👏

Great shopping and pharmacy and staff are very friendly and helpful both in the pharmacy and throughout the store. I had to come here for my Covid vaccine. Had never been in the store before; not exactly convenient to where I live.

Today was the last day I shopped at the Giant in the Forest Hill, MD. I went to this store because it is closest to my location. I didn't care about the prices as long as they had what I needed to get through the week. Today, I went shopping with my two little children. It was a Monday afternoon and the store was not very busy. I usually use the self-checkout aisle because I can do it faster. The two Giant employees who were stationed near the self-checkout aisles did NOT approach me to help with the packing my groceries despite watching me trying to checkout with two children. While I checkout and packed the groceries, they continued to ignore me and chose to help 5 other customers pack their bags. None of those customers were disabled, elderly or with small children. I have noticed this plenty of times before but chose to tolerate it. I decided today that I do not need to tolerate shopping at a grocery store where employees pick who to help and who to ignore while the customers spend their money in the store that they work in. I will be emailing my complaint to Giant regarding this incident. I will come back to update this review, it they respond.

Great associates who have been working there for years and remember you. Management is always willing to assist. But please for the love of Pete, get a cleaning person to care for the ladies room more often and with care. That facility doesn't represent the store and extremely noticable because of that fact. I pass Shop Rite just to shop at this Giant.

Friendly staff member at flowers & balloons. She went above & beyond and added extra ribbon to the balloon because I had to get the most expensive 1 to get what I wanted.Bakery was amazing. They used Mickey Mouse rings and the message written was perfect.

When Giant first opened, it was wonderful. Unfortunately, the last 5 years have been fair to poor. They start a sale but don't have the products. Shelves are frequently empty. They don't keep up their stock. Produce isn't the same either. Lots of brown in grapes. Prices are ridiculously high. On top of everything, there is only one person in the meat department that actually wears gloves! Welcome to the next e-coli breakout people. I go to Wegmans to get my groceries now. Much cheaper and much higher quality. Worth the 15 min drive.

Love the floral department! Patty has always done an excellent job arranging multiple centerpieces for various special occasions (Christmas, Easter, bridal/baby showers and most recently a baptism). She listens to our special requests, but goes above and beyond adding her own special touch. Can't say enough about Patty and the Giant floral department!

The best managed Giant store I have ever stepped foot in. The local meats, seafood, and produce are top notch. It is always clean and the checkout lanes are heavily staffed.
