This place reminds me of your old fashioned old hometown type hardware store. Everyone there is extremely helpful, friendly, fun and the store has everything. In fact I was impressed how much they could actually fit in that store LOL.

Went today for a replacement sliding door handle. Asked sales clerk for location of handles, young girl said aisle 7 or 8. Another couple was in same aisle looking to mount a tv. I asked for help, they butted in. Salesperson waited on them 15 minutes, said he'd come back for me, he never did. Another younger salesperson asked if I needed help, he said they didn't carry that type of sliding glass door handle. I wasted 20 minutes for nothing. Been going to that location (all types of different owners) for 12 years. Will NEVER return, regardless. The place is dirty, people don't wait on you, and they're very rude! Recommend to avoid that place at all costs!

This is smaller than a Home Depot or Lowes but the shelves are stocked with an array of goods - tools, plumbing, electrical, paints, lawn & garden, holiday decor...This location offers the hard to find screen repair service. They are busy so take your screens in off- season.

This hardware store is fantastic for several reasons. First of all, it is not a mega super huge chain box store like everything is turning into nowadays so at every chance I tried to give my business to local smaller community or individually owned stores such as this one. The customer service in this hardware store is absolutely fantastic. This is one of the very few stores that I actually bothered to put the effort into finding a employee or someone on the floor to ask a question about a product or a certain way to use something or their opinion on a material etc because they are pretty educated and knowledgeable aside from the youngster have all paid off in spades in the long run

Nice hardware store where everything is laid out and labeled perfectly you can literally go in and grab most your stuff in a matter of minutes and not spending our walking around trying to find everything. The customer service here is great as well.

I had the worst customer service experience and will never return to this store again. Its sad because as a life long resident of Harford County, i have always supported them. I took the door from my wood stove to have new gaskets installed. I was told it would be two weeks. I never heard from them so when I called they told me they didn't know when it would be done. After being transferred to a nasty employee who kept telling me it takes two weeks (which they had it longer than two weeks) I was told "maybe i should have come in sooner".I went and picked up my door and went to another business who went above and beyond to help me.

Well these stores are not as big as the big box there's a wide variety of things that you can't find in the big box stores along with the normal stuff also. Everyone is knowledgeable and helpful there as well I always try to support the local small business if I can

Courtland Ace Hardware & Hearth in Bel Air is the best. I like the way Ace Hardware stores in terms of location and scale are generally much more ingrained into the communities they serve than the big box stores - which tend to be behemoth warehouses located on congested arterial highways, with massive parking lots. Whatever the ownership structure, Ace Hardware is local. The staff at Ace Hardware - and Courtland in particular - can always be counted on to be knowledgeable and willing to help provide solutions to your project.
