I cannot say enough about this place. I have only brought my cat Athena here twice so far but both times they did an outstanding job with her. This time they even gave Athena a little report card after her grooming and it is the cutest thing ever. I highly recommend bringing your fur baby here!

Our dog injured herself at the beginning of the summer. Scheduling surgery, therapies and recovery period would not allow us to have her groomed. She needed it badly but she had to recover enough first. Her health was the priority. During this time, her regular groomer resigned her position so when it came time to get her done I had to take her to a new place and a new person.Luckily I found Burlane’s. From the first interaction they understood the situation, set the expectations of what they would have to do to restore her healthy cost and well-being. Because she had become matted in areas ( even with daily brushing) shaving her down was the only option. They prepared us for a totally different-looking dog and she was but she looked beautiful all the same. They informed me about any possible issues from losing the heaviness of her hair and made sure I understood everything before I left.Their professionalism, communication and the care they showed my girl was definitely five star.

My dogs always look amazing after their grooming days. I have 2 Goldens and a Cocker Spaniel and they look and smell wonderful when they return after their "Spa Days". Ashley, Laura and the whole staff are friendly, very knowledgeable, and truly care about my dogs. Their prices are fair and comparable to local groomers. I highly recommend Burlane Couture!!

While the employees were super nice, the haircut they gave my pup was terrible. She’s a mini golden doodle- mostly poodle. We just asked for her to be shaved short, shouldn’t be to difficult- but it was very uneven and they barely touched her face. My husband had to cut it when she got home. Paw pads were not shaved and they didn’t cut her nails either. I’m not one to leave a bad review but it sucks to pay a lot of money for something that was done terribly

They truly deserve zero stars. Took my dog to get groomed and nails done. Dropped her off at 9:00am. Was told she'd be ready by 3:00pm, which I thought was odd to be there that long just for grooming. I received a call at 10:20am saying they couldn't groom her, just her nails for they recommended a "tranquilizer" to groom her. I picked her up immediately and left and noticed the nails were barely touched. No dog should ever have to be "tranquilized" to be groomed and be told 6 hours was needed to be groomed. I wish I had read all the negative reviews (beforehand) before taking her there. All the negative reviews cannot be wrong, they're there for a reason. I won't be returning, and, again, don't ever "tranquilize" your dog just for grooming.Update 04/18/23 from Burlane's comments: My dog is female, not male. Just proves to me that my dog's grooming (again a female) was NOT taken seriously. Also, Burlane suggested "tranquilizing", I would NEVER allow my dog (again a female, not a male) to be "tranquilized", especially by a groomer! Oh, and I tipped because it's the nice thing to do. Shame I tipped for a service I don't believe was completed. Finally, I was NEVER told by the associate that she tried to bite anyone (again a female, not a male).

I’ve been taking my dogs here for over 10 years and have always been pleased when Donna owned the business. Evidently someone else has now bought the business. I made an appointment for my dog to be groomed. The morning of the appointment I got a call telling me that 2 of the groomers were out sick, (actually they quit). I rescheduled and came in a few days later. I was told upon arrival that the business had changed hands and “Prices have gone up”. I was actually okay with the pricing but would have liked to have know that when scheduling the appointment. A little courtesy and respect for your customers goes a long way. When I picked my dog up, I was informed that they couldn’t cut his nails because he wouldn’t hold still. Strange… never had this happen in his 5 years of grooming there? The manager told me to “Take him to the Veteran to have his nails done”. Oh okay… only another $50 to put out for something the Groomer should do. Really??? When I went to pay, I was told that only “Cash Tips” were accepted now. Well you should have told me that in Advance too because I didn’t bring cash. All in all, just a Really Bad experience with a business that was once really Great under the previous owner.Changing ownership of this business Should Have been Seamless if done correctly for the customers.I’m seriously Disappointed and Dissatisfied with the new owners and how they conduct business. I’m sure we’ll be finding another groomer that treats us Better. Shameful…My reply to the manager’s comments:I’ve worked in Customer Service for over 40 years. Obviously… you don’t know much about that. Here’s what you should have replied if educated in Customer Service instead of Excuses.“We are terribly sorry for any confusion and disappointment during our transition. We want to make this Right with you and keep you coming back as a Satisfied Customer. We would like to offer you a Free grooming to give us another chance to earn your business. Please allow us this opportunity to make things right and keep you coming back.”But that Isn’t what you did… Shameful.Don’t defend your mistakes… own them, apologize and make it Right with your customer. Your customer doesn’t care about your policies. They only care about how you treat Them.Your Reputation is more valuable than money. Your Reputation can Make or Break your business. Your customers Support your business with their Voice and Wallet. I don’t think you quite understand that.Rule number 1- “The Customer is Always Right”.

Ashley, Christy and team did an amazing job! I am so pleased with the care provided to my German Shepherd Camo. His fur is so shiny and soft, nails were trimmed and de-shedding has made a big difference in the my home. Great value for the price! I highly recommend them for your next pet grooming.

I was just reading some of the reviews and I am surprised at the people that claim to have had dogs for years but they have NEVER had a groomer nick their dog or have a mistake. Either they have a very selective memory or they just haven't paid attention before. I have been taking our Yorkie to Burlane for over a year now and can honestly say that I could not be happier with a groomer. My dog (puppy) did get nicked once and the first thing the staff did was try to stop the bleeding and called me to let me know. They held nothing back, pleaded with me to take him to the vet and have him looked at AT THEIR EXPENSE. I chose not take him to our vet but did talk with a neighbor that is a vet a couple of days later. No, his nick won't heal, but it wasn't life and death either. The important thing is that Burlane made every attempt to take care of the situation and was very apologetic and in no way failed to take the responsibility. That meant a great deal to me, it shows that the person that is caring for my baby has integrity and you can't but a price on that these days. They offer great customer service and the entire crew have always made me feel like I was leaving him with people that cared and would take the best care of him. I recommend them to everyone and now my mother-in-law brings her Shih tzu there.

This was my first time there. Julie the groomer I met seem nice enough, I explained everything I wanted, I told her that I was trying to grow his beard, she made suggestions on growing it, I even showed her a picture of what I wanted which she refused to take. needless to say, when I picked up my shih tzu, his face was shaved? HE IS A SHIH TZU FOR GODS SAKE! I was happy with his body, although uneven, but his face was horribly uneven, one side shorter than the other, I had to finish him at home, he was chopped up, and his little beard was GONE! no beard, a shih tzu with no beard!. Also, I have to mention that 5mins after leaving that groomers, I had to pull over so the dog could poop and he had bloody stools which has never happen in his 7yrs!!! I still tipped her, and thought about giving them another chance because their prices are reasonable, but has since change my mind.

Last Thursday my dog visited this salon for the first time for his haircut. At 9am I drove my dog and I was told to pick him up at 4pm. When my husband picked it up, the dog was very badly promised. All not even, torn hair on the body, legs on his knee uneven, untouched around his privet are and, around the mouth barely touched. By one word, the person who cut it did not do his job at all. Today, Saturday I took my dog back to the patch and the owner of this place said my dog is looking fine!! She doesn't see nothing wrong!! It was too much, I ordered a refund (to go some other place for hair cut) but of course no refund because she paid already the person for a poor job and it wasn't my problem, she an only fix it again what should be due on Thursday. With me in place, the lady who cut on Thursday was fixing him again, although not quite equally but better when his was. This place is one of the worst place and the owner, a person in business for 30 years, a person who should take care of his clients was very rude and tried to convince me that her employee with 20y of experience did good job ! It is important who we leave our pets with! I just came here because my dog hairdresser was very busy that week and I did not want wait until August. Never again!

My wife took our dog to the store and we loved it. The stylist immediately worked with our dog to make her more comfortable and our dog seemed to feel comfortable also. Great options and much better service than the big box store nearby.

I have had the distinct pleasure of taking my dog Gracie a Toy Sheltie to be groomed by Victoria. She always goes above and beyond with her grooming. She always gives me valuable feedback of ways I can care for her coat and maintain the great job she does grooming her . She is a great at her job and with my dog and I love this place .

Been going to Burlane's for years now and she does my golden retrievers to perfection! The owner takes her time and eases the dog so that they practically fall asleep on her grooming table. She uses the best named shampoos and conditioners and the dogs really enjoy it there. Wouldn't go anywhere else!!

I gave this place one star because it wouldn’t allow me to not give any. I took my dogs there last week and when I picked them up the groomer told me she “nicked” one of my dogs paws between her toes but it didn’t bleed she said. When I got her home and she started licking it I looked and saw not a nick but a deep laceration between her toes. It was a hole! I called them back and told them and they were not willing to do anything. I told them it may need stitches it was so deep and they had the nerve to tell me to let them know what happens. Didn’t offer to pay for the vet bill or anything. I had to take her to the vet and $120 later I am still trying to get her healed up! I will never take my dogs there again!!!! In response to your comment below I have taken them places before and they had mats between their toes and that NEVER happened to them!! If you were a respectable salon you would tell me to send you the bill and you would pay it!!

As a new client, I came here for my dog and cat before Christmas time last year. I wasn't impressed. I gave all of my pet info over the phone to book the appointment, and had to give it all over again a few days later when I came to drop my dog + cat off. Nothing had been recorded; they seem unorganized and outdated. The front rep (maybe owner?) I was handled by looked like she was falling asleep while writing down my details, it took forever. The building smells musty and old while the staff isn't super friendly or welcoming. My very friendly and calm dog was dragged on her leash back to a crate without any comfort, obviously nervous and afraid. I remember they said she was "shy" when I came to get her. Really? Neither my dog or cat smelled clean after their baths, my dog has continued to shed like crazy, and I have to take them to get groomed earlier than normal now. I was glad they could fit me in before the holidays but it wasn't worth it.I think this place is great if you're a regular and have been bringing your pets there for years, and/or if you're wanting to save on price.

I have been taking my Goldendoodle to Burlane for a year. I went to my appointment this morning 8:00am and was told that my regular groomer wasn't there anymore. Now, I scheduled the appointment 6 weeks ago. I scheduled with Julie, who has scheduled all my appointments for the last year. She just looked at me and told me the groomer took care of all of her own appointments... And basically "oh well" attitude.I did not even get a phone call telling me the groomer had left. Then she tells me that they are all booked up today.Customer service at its WORST!She literally could of cared less she wasted my time!!Do not recommend!* Also... I have had dogs groomed for over 25 years. I NEVER have had to leave my dog for 5-6 hours to get groomed. I hated that about Burlane. The only reason I went there is because of the groomer.

Burlane is a great place to take your dogs for a good grooming. I've been going there for many years. I take my mothers dog and my own. Very friendly and helpful, professional. Just all around a very nice business they have. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good groomer in the bel air harford county area. Better than petsmart anyday.

I'v had my Pekingese/Dachshund to a few groomers in the area and most recently to Burlane. I was very happy with the cut he got there, it didn't look chopped up and i couldn't get over how good he looked. I was also pleasantly surprised by the price and found it to be very reasonable. I'll be taking him there again soon - hopefully the results will be consistent!

We use this place consistently. Our cats go every 3 to 4 months for a lions cut and grooming. They do a great job and our cats do well with them considering no cat really likes a grooming lol

Burlane Cat & Dog Boutique has been grooming my Dogs for over 15 years. Best animal groomer in Harford County. They care for my fur babies as if they were their own. Donna, Julie, Marie genuinely care about the animals in their care. My Dogs still get excited to visit with the Ladies.

Beware!!! I am writing this review months later, but I wanted to make people aware of my experience. An incredibly long story short, my precious puppy took an emergency visit to the pet ER down the street after being at this groomer! Approximately 2 hours after I dropped him off I had a missed phone call stating that my puppy was vomiting blood. I called back, obviously extremely concerned and the woman working the front desk was very nonchalant about what had happened. I told her that I lived 30 minutes away and asked if she thought that he needed to be taken to the ER. Again, she really downplayed the entire situation. Needless to say, by the time I got to my puppy he was practically lifeless in my arms. I rushed him to the ER where he was immediately ran into the back as he was extremely deprived of oxygen and dying in my arms. Prior to the visit to the groomer he was a typical happy and very healthy puppy. After countless exams, tests, and multiple nights spent at the ER, my trip to the groomer ended up costing me almost $2,000 in emergency treatment. The veterinarian diagnosed him with non-cardiogenic pulmonary edema and was almost certain that this was a result of whatever happened at the groomers. I tried to defend the groomers (who the veterinarian even knows personally) and she insisted that it happened in their care and that she sees injured dogs after trips to the groomer all the time. She felt very confident that it was due to being tied up on the table with the noose (lord only knows what happened). My point to you all is that the salon responded horribly to the entire situation trying to cover everything up, down play the entire situation, and say that something was wrong with him when I dropped him off. I can't think of any owner in their right mind that would drop off their seriously ill puppy to be groomed. Absurd. Oh, and to top it all off, they had the audacity to still charge me for the bath while I'm trying to run out the door with my dying puppy!!!! Never, ever will I go anywhere near this place again!!!!

We have a terrier mix, named Grady, that we adopted some months ago....he had long hair, not matted, and had been bathed a few times....but he needed to be groomed. We took him to Bulane Boutique and they did an awesome sausum job!!! We were so happy with his trim, nails, etc., the estimated given as to cost was what they charged!!! That's a change!!! We will definitely return.

If you have a Cat avoid this place like a mouse avoids mechanical devices offering cheese! On the Day I took my cat for bath and trim she was the only cat amount 20 dogs! The dogs were all barking all day so cat was very nervous! They had her from 8 am to 4;30 and when I called at 3pm to check they said it will be another 45 min! 1 cat to do all day and I was 2nd in door at 8am! When they brought out cat in my carrier dogs were jumping at it an trying to bite Carrier! I paid the 55$ and asked if she did ok seeing her shaking! They informed me they used a muzzle to cover her face to calm her! I never agreed to that and been to petsmart many times and they never had to use it and they always said she was a great cat and gentle never a problem! Also the place smelled strongly of dogs not like a vets office but like an old dog kennel ! I will NEVER use them again and would tell any Cat owners steer clear if you love you pet!
