The joke of the neighborhood! Either they are out of what you came in for or it’s out of date ! You have to check everything before you purchase! produce department is one of the worst took home a bag of potatoes when I got home they were green and sprouting roots I was in there yesterday and someone was apparently stocking frozen food ice cream just sitting on the floor in various spots no one around Check everything you purchase! When they originally opened things were good Must have had a management change because you never see any supervisor and employees just playing from what I see

First time in this location since converted from Shoppers to Safeway. Don’t see a lot of difference, well stocked, friendly cashiers. Got some nice roasted chickens with flavor I’ve never tasted before, and it was great.

This Safeway on Smith Avenue in Pikesville (Baltimore,MD) has the worst prices. The prices are predatory. A small box of cereal rang up for $6.89, once the club savings kicked in it was $1.99. I went to get jiffy pop popcorn. It was $5, at Giant nearby, the same jiffy pop popcorn is $2 and change. The presentation at this Safeway is lacking and the prices are ridiculous. There is no reason for the prices to by jacked up so high in this sub par store. I drive right by and go to giant.

I was there about an hour before closing, and for 9nly a few moments. Found what I needed, all questions I had were answered, safe to say that Safeway is a nice common grocery store.

that store is too ridiculously high I don't know if it's because of the neighborhood or what the problem is but I should have went to Walmart. Even if it is the neighborhood it's not fair to overcharge people because they live in a nice neighborhood

Fewer circular coupons, now digital coupons, but when you go to the register having "clipped" a few digital coupons, the cashier, who is lovely otherwise, doesn't know how to access the coupons on THEIR app. When asked, she says they haven't been trained on that yet.So then, I need to go to customer service, but wait 5-6 minutes for a manager or CSR to come and ring up my order again. She was also pleasant, but it's becoming increasingly more frustrating to shop here. The self-serve are so sensitive and you bring your own bags as they ask, but every other item and I have to wait for an employee to bypass the system for one reason or another. Then I go to a register and the employee has not been thoroughly trained to ring up an order with discounts on Their app. Ugh!

Old guy standing at self checkout pulls you away and tries to make you go to one of the cashiers. If self check out is empty, and your cashiers have lines, why would I want to go to the cashiers?? Very rude and pushy. Then he just stares at you if you choose to stay at self check out

Smith Ave store is nice n clean, it was good to see Mr Phil walking around and checking the temperature 🌡️ on the refrigerated items making sure they are safe for the customers, young gentleman in the seafood department was pleasant professional n very helpful. Prices are a little more reasonable depending on what your getting if they were lower I'd give 5 🤩 however overall the store is clean neat and well stocked, I would definitely recommend shopping here. Vegetable nice n fresh as well.

Store is very clean, spacious and orderly.Kosher selection is much improved since my previous review when the store just oprned, but could still be much better considering the neighborhood in which the store is situated. So I am increasing my previous two stars to four.Somewhat expensive.They don't use plastic bags, they would pack your order in paper bags but would charge you for them. Not the store's fault, of course. Thank you, Democreeps.

I used to shop this market a lot when it was Shoppers . Since its name change, the service has changed as well. The deli is the worst!!!. I will no longer come here to shop. I would rather go to Owings Mills instead. At least the customer service is on point.

Good deals, especially when they have items on sale. I always walk out with more than I plan to. The only downside was I had a few digital coupons that weren't deducted from my total and I didn't realize it until after I had left because it's hard to keep track of the discounts as the cashier is scanning items.

Love that we have this shopping area so close to where we live for quick and easily forgotten ingredients to complete a dinner meal. This place have been revamped from a former Shoppers but its still clean, nicely organized, and workers are very helpful! Make sure to check any deals they may have going on.Go on Monday for a deal on their rotisserie chicken that come in different flavors. Mango habanero is our favorite and makes for a quick dinner.

I've been coming here for about 10 years and I'm so glad it's a Safeway now. Everything is just better. But the real reason I'm writing this review is because the roasted chicken that they make in house was some of the best chicken I've ever had period. Phil (in the deli section) makes it with this Mango-Habanero glaze. It looked so good in the case and when he told me he had just put it out I got some. No lie, I ate 5 pieces of it soon as I got home and I wish I wasn't full so I could eat some more. Juicy, fall off the bone tender and a ton of flavor. Big props to Phil for making some seriously good chicken at a great price. On Mondays, you can get an eight piece for $7.99 I think.

The floor in the produce section by the fresh herbs is constantly wet. I have slipped a few times and today I actually slipped and fell to the ground. The last time I slipped I informed the woman putting out the produce the floor was wet. She said ok and I watched her do nothing. Today when I actually fell I informed a manager who called the GM Kevin. I did not see anything done yet again but he claims to have handled it and put out a wet floor sign. This store is a mess, please be careful. Kevin took an "incident" report by having my write my name and info down on a piece of scrap paper. So unprofessional.

It's always a wonderful experience to shop here. All the employees are usually very friendly and helpful if I need it. My 11 month old loves to walk around the store and smile at the other customers and employees they are always so friendly and kind to him.

We go to this safeway every weekend for our grocery shopping. SO HAPPY they replaced the other store that used to be there that wasn't much of a grocery store at all and was so expensive. But this safeway always has great savings, things on sale, has an expanded offering of cooked hot items, and easy to make foods, and many coupons on their app. It saves me and my husband so much money while allowing us to keep our house stocked with food.

How is everyone so thrilled with this place? Damn near everything in the Meat, Deli, and Dairy sections was out of date the last 3 times I stopped in. I saw cheese, in its packaging, with mold on it, and bananas literally turned to mush, sat right beside fresh ones. The only thing they manage to get right is non-perishables.

Shoppers selection was a million times better. Safeway replaced many brands entirely and now replaced them with off brand labels with higher sticker prices. Don’t even waste your time, target is more affordable down the street and that’s saying something. Don’t believe me? Good luck finding a bag of chicken tenders for your kids that isn’t like a single serving only for double the price. Keep bags smaller and selection thin so customers don’t have choice.

Very angry with them. I purchased 2 lbs of Salmon and 1 pd. of Perch. I returned home within 45 mins. Before I could get the wrapping off I could smell the horrific, stinking smell of both fish. The salesman that sold it to me , in the Seafood dept., he had to smell it. I spent 41.00 and some change. Although I was able to get a refund the next day, I was still disgusted. He knew he sold bad food. I will not be returning, the Canaloupe were not fresh either!! A bit over the top... maybe, but oh well!!

Big thanks to Phil in the deli counter. He turned us on to the mango pepper chicken. The glaze he makes is divine, a little sweet and a little spicy. Definitely a new go to for our family.

This New (old) Safeway is so much better than the Shoppers that was there ...But ...The gentleman ( Howard ) that does the self checkout is very rude everytime I am in the store.We spend lots of money there as a family.

Slowly upgrading imthe location.One Terriffic improvement is the fresh flowers . Lots of choices at different prices. They last at least a week.And what's interesting is they are themed. This week the theme was yellow. ..my wife's favorite color.
