I took my 3 year old long haired (double coated) male cat, Eeyore, for his first grooming ever. Unfortunately, we believed the myth that cats groom themselves, so all we ever did was brush Eeyore. When I called to make my appointment, a super friendly lady gave me all the info I needed and scheduled our appointment with Rhonda. Best decision ever. Rhonda made my husband feel very comfortable when he dropped our Eeyore Kitty off and when we got him back, he acted like nothing even happened, which tells us that Rhonda was gentle and kind to our cat. He looks amazing with his lion cut and seems so much more comfortable. Thank you so much. You will definitely be seeing us and Eeyore again.

I love this store! It's bright and conveniently located and the staff is super-friendly and helpful. It's also easy to drop in last-minute to get our dog's nails clipped without making an appointment.

This place is so cute. Easy parking, dog friendly. They even have free samples of dog food if you want to try something new for your pet. We like it. Shop small people.

What a pet store! You have to check it out for all your needs. Why do I say that? Simply put…because of the customer service that I consistently receive from my “consultant” Kat. She is the glue that holds this store together. I cannot count the numerous times she has assisted me, going far and above her assistant managerial duties to provide the premier customer service that one is looking for in a boutique pet store. She is humble, friendly, relatable, knowledgeable and aims to to have all her customers leave with a smile on his/her face, and on top of it, she has her own fur babies so she understands the most difficult situations presented (trust me, I gave her my worst scenarios and she still shines). If you have the opportunity to stop into the Mt. Washington location, stop in, say hi and purchase some items. With all her great attributes, I can see her running her own store one day so get to know her while you can. HATS OFF to Loyal Companion for hiring her. They have a good one. Hey Kat! Keep up the excellent work and continue to set the bar high for your staff and those that come behind you! Thanks for all you do! You’re a ⭐️! A++

Nice store. I used their DIY shower, which was cool. Worth the 15 bucks to me. The employees were friendly. Prices seemed a little high to me, on some items, but I would still recommend going and checking out the store.

I went here to pick up a few things for my pet and I loved the customer service that I received from Nicole. She was very helpful, patient and made my experience 10 times better than I received in the past. She answered my questions about different toys that my cat might love and foods and treats that were right for him. She also made sure I had everything I needed at check out. I will indeed, be going back every time.

Their customer service was amazing! Everyone helped out and answered my questions. Jamie was great with my dog. She’s a puppy so not quite used to being groomed but she did amazing! And Nova loved her will be back next month! Lots to sniff, good treats and will definitely shop again!!

We have been a LOYAL customer of the Mt. Washington location for over 5 years! Our dog gets groomed more often than I get my hair done because they take such good care of her and always do a fantastic job! The staff has turned over recently, which makes me sad. However, the main reason we continue to go to this location is because two of our favorite animal lovers still work there. Jamie, the groomer, is fantastic with our dog and always is so respectful and kind to me! Hannah is the absolute best!!! She is always so friendly and does a fantastic job with helping me schedule Moxie around my crazy schedule! We love Loyal companion but I honestly don’t know how I’d feel if Jamie or Hannah left! Please do what you can to make them stay! :)

Hannah B and the other employees are always so helpful. They really care about helping you find what your pet needs. 10/10 customer service. This loyal companion is also always stocked with plenty of dog and cat foods so I know whatever I need will be there! Also a dog washing station in the back. Grooming is also offered by professionals.

My pups and I love visiting this store! They have everything she eats and could ever want as well as all the things I need for my cats. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I have also gotten my pups nails done by their groomers and it’s always a wonderful experience and they do a great job!

For a 1st experience, I was impressed. The prices are not bad, especially considering every place in that complex is extremely overpriced. Decent selection of things, neat, clean,and organized. The salesClerk couldn't have been nicer & she was happy to help. I bought a toy and some treats for my pup and she made some new friends.leekC

This was my first time trying this place, and I loved it!!!! Nyasia was so sweet and helpful with getting a grooming appointment set up. Kat gave me a lot of great advice on taking care of my newest fur baby. We will definitely be back. The staff was so knowledgeable and nice.

Everyone there were very pleasant and knowledgeable! I felt very comfortable with dropping my lola off, Rhonda actually squeezed her in and she smells really good! I can tell she took her time with her 🏼 I will be returning!

Great selection for all of your pet supply needs. My go to for food, toys and treats. They also have a great selection of bedding, leashes and sweaters / jackets for dogs small to large. Offer in store grooming. The team that works at this location are extremely helpful!

I love Loyal Companion in Mt. Washington!!! The people who work there, Hannah, Chad and Nijol, are so kind and helpful and they always remember my pup’s name. Jamie, my pup’s groomer, is very talented and sweet. The quality of the dog food and products is excellent! Loyal Companion Mt Washington is the perfect, convenient store for my pet and me!!

Great Store with a wonderful variety of interesting foods and other items for dogs and cats. I was introduced to Weruva packets there for cats and Winston has never been happier !! Took my dog to this location for the first time today for a nail trim and a bath and I was very impressed! The groomer did a great job and I thought their washing stations were super convenient and easy to use. Great customer service.

Staff at this location (Smith Ave) are very friendly and I found employee Chad to be very knowledgeable with regard to the cat foods I was purchasing when there. The store is clean and nicely designed. It is always a pleasure to deal with staff who love pets and know their products.

My wife went in and specifically asked for puppy toys that would not be destroyed within a day. She purchased 4 toys recommended to her by the staff. 10 minutes after our puppy began enjoying one of the toys, it began breaking into tiny pieces. She called the store within an hour of her purchase to tell them what happened. The staff cited the signs posted in the store as well as the back of the packaging both warning that toys may last “1 second to a lifetime.” Fair enough. Point taken. But she won’t be returning to make any additional purchases for our new puppy.

I called 1/28/22 to make an appt for my pet for grooming and the woman on the phone wasn’t the friendliest person but I figured maybe she was having a bad day. It happens although it shouldn’t come through the phone toward customers.I gave her my information and she says I have to place you on hold I said ok well 10 minutes later she never returned to the phone and I was at work so I hung up with hopes she will call me back since she had my phone number. Well that never happened.So I decided to call back today 1/29/22 and another woman answers the phone I explained to her my situation on the 28th and that went over her head like a lead balloon. She proceeded to ask me questions the same questions I answered the day before. I called this establishment based on the reviews and there was much praise for Jackie and Rachel so I asked about them and the woman cuts me off and says Rachel doesn’t work here any longer and Jackie isn’t taking any new pets. I responded okay how are your other groomers she responded in a very unsure way they’re pretty good I said just pretty good she says yeah and continued gathering information from me.I told the woman never mind I will not bring my pet there. I’ve spoken to two women and they both need to take a webinar class on customer service. I’m entrusting my pet to this place and if the customer service over the phone is subpar and there is no confidence in the groomers then forget it. I’m thrilled that everyone else has had a great experience I couldn’t get past the ladies over the phone. So my search for a groomer continues.

Made an appt for grooming. There was some miscommunication between the site and the stores actual schedule. I was able to get things straightened out and was able to get my dog groomed but Rhonda. She was absolutely amazing.

I've shopped in this store no less than 20 times. I like the raw dog food they sell in the refrigerated case and the assortment of canned cat foods. Every single time I've been greeted by a friendly welcome. Zero pretension. And they do not tower over you in a pesky way, but check-in with you to see if you need any assistance. Even today, I called to check on their schedule to get my dog a bath and they were really friendly.

After a fabulous first experience during which they couldn’t have been more helpful, many small and large frustrations have been balanced by concerted good efforts on their part.Of note,(1) They carry limited flavors of the wet food my cat needs;(2) even placing an order was done wrong - but the manager came through for me.

Whenever I come to this Loyal Companion location, the staff is always incredibly helpful and knowledgable. The staff members show patience and great care by taking their time answering my questions. It is difficult to find some of raw food products at other places, but they always have what I am looking for when I go in. They have a wide selection of products with good prices.

I love this store for my pet! It has all the healthy choice foods I need to buy for my pet. My pet loves to go inside and look get a small treat while I shop. I also love the reminders they send out for pet health.

This store was great until I missed my dog grooming appointment. Even with an apology; the senior staff was rude and did not even acknowledge my prensence when I went into the store to purchase more dog food. Nice store but don't miss your grooming appoiments they with punish you for 3 months.
