This location is probably one of the worst ones in Baltimore. The workers here are very rude and act like you’re not suppose to be there. I always go to self check out to avoid the cashiers due to their attitudes. When you ask the associates on the floor for help they will sometimes roll their eyes. The deli is the worst. There’s this older woman with a bald head and glasses (I’m not sure if she’s still there) but she’s extremely rude. I never feel comfortable ordering for the deli due to the customer service and lack of cleanliness. They don’t properly wipe down the cutters and I’ve seen the workers cut the cheese on the same slicer as the meat and I know you’re not suppose to do that. I don’t feel safe coming to this location because there’s always homeless people and/or drug abusers in front of the store harassing the customers & the security guards don’t do anything about it.UPDATE 01/19/2024: The cashiers make you bag your own groceries. I don’t work here so why should I as a customer have to do this????

what a lovely Giant store. The one I am used to was much smaller. This is spacious and seems to have so many types of produce. It made me happy to shop here.

This is the worst giant. The pound cake is one of the most simple items that they sell it's frozen. All you got to do is box it up put a label on it and put it out. Whenever I stop at this location in the morning nine times out of 10 they never have pound cake. It's not something they have to cook it's frozen for crying out loud. Even the slices of pie they are put in the self-serve containers the little small containers, and even that, the crust is like falling off you can tell the staff could care less. And sometimes it just makes sense for me to stop at this location on my way to work when I didn't have a chance to stop at the grocery store the night before. But this location is on Greenmount and 33rd so how much you want to bet,? I guarantee you they have 10,000 boxed food items they have 10, 000 you know just unhealthy items but something as simple as pound cake they can never have it out. But I bet you if you go in the hairstyle aisle they have some Ampro black gel but they can't even have something as simple as pound cake!!!!!!!

On several occasions I had the displeasure of visiting this Giant Food location. It is the worse grocery store I have ever been to. There were 30+ dead flies in the dairy case. There was dried chicken blood in the poultry section, black mold in the milk case, the floors had food as well as dead flies and some sort of black sticky residue all over them, also coagulated cows blood and rusty disgusting shelves. There were dried cracked and dried eggs on the shelves that looked like they had been there forever, if not longer.

They have the best Quesadillas!! They are only 3$ a piece!!! Their pharmacy is awesome! They have great service except this one lady she was so incredibly rude for some reason my husband went in her line both times we went and the first time she was real snappy and wasn't really mean but just wasn't pleasant. The second time we went to her she had a terrible attitude! I was trying to use my giant card I just signed up for and I didn't have the card because I did it online so I couldn't figure out how to use my phone to have the card virtual. The whole time the woman was complaining and telling me I can't hold up her line...mind you she is still ringing me up so either way I wasn't holding her up. I finally read that you can just use your phone number but by that time she already scanned her card or the stores card I'm not sure so I said to her why didn't you tell me I could just use the phone number on the account and she tells me that it is not her job to tell me that and there isn't anything that she can do about it now. I got really upset because I had a coupon for 10$ off my order for being a new customer. This woman is an older black woman with a short kinda Afro haircut glasses and kinda tall. Steer clear of her register because I am not the only person who has had issues with her.

Well it’s Giant Foods, wide variety of groceries, meat, seafood, canned food, birthday cake, salad bar, cleaning supplies, you name it. Good service, self check out, parking… Nice overall.

I've used giant pharmacy for years. But it seems now I call and verify my medicine is ready I'm told yes. I get there to pick up the medicine wait in line all to be told 15 more minutes which turns into 25 to 30 minutes. It would not be a problem if it happened once but I've changed pharmacies for this reason.

The most ghetto giants I’ve been to they let people in to shop while they closing then when we got to the register the security got aggressive like y’all have to go they closed the register. Why even allow us to enter the store. They prepackaged deli meat was bad and it say it was bagged up 12/26/23 which was yesterday.

Lines too long not enough checkouts. Very rude lady wouldn’t help, the guy in the seafood area makes it very uncomfortable singing extremely loud for attention.

Don’t waste your time with their pharmacy unorganized poor customer service and nonchalant attitude towards customers regarding filling needed prescriptions. I just wish I could give them a lower score than one star😡

This store has seen better days. Tho, it appears that it is getting an exterior makeover. Stock was a bit of an issue recently and I left without a few things that I needed. Still, as a whole, Giant feels overpriced vs other major grocery stores and Target

This is a mixed review, half good and half bad.I have lived in the neighborhood of this Giants supermarket for over 12 years. My normal routine is to shop save-a-lot, safeway and then Giants.Recently the supermarket in Waverly has undergone a major renovation. I really like the way the store is set up now and especially love the Spanish section it's very abundant and has all the products I love in use. In general the staff is friendly and helpful however that it's not always the case.I noticed recently within the last month when I shop at the Giants it seems like the staff is covering over me when I come up to the checkout counter whether it's self checkout or through a cashier.I am a disabled person with two illnesses which are terminal. I have severe osteoarthritis in right hip and pelvic. Am also living daily with severe lung disease including COPD chronic bronchitis and emphysema.Most importantly in regards to this review is that have stage C congestive heart failure and take a medication which makes me use bathroom frequently. The medication is emptying my heart of fluid. Even though I always use the restroom before leaving the house often find when I arrive at Giants I have to urgently go to the bathroom.Normally I will retrieve a cart and go directly to the bathroom. I never come into the stores with any bags only a small purse. After exiting the bathroom I do my shopping but again it just feels like the staff has been watching me making me feel like if I am being suspected of shoplifting!One thing for certain and two things for sure I do not steal. I have never committed any type of illegal act in any of the grocery stores that I shop in in my area or any of the stores for that matter. I'm unsure what I've done besides going to the bathroom frequently upon entering the store that has caused the staff to Hoover over me like a hawk every time I come up to a checkout line.I decided around 2 weeks ago that I was going to bring up my concern with the security and manager of the store. When I arrived the security guard happened to be right there so I approached him and explained to him the situation above. I feel like I regret that now because I don't think he really understood when I told him that I have Stage C heart failure and this is the reason why I'm constantly using the bathroom when entering the store.He was helpful in the fact by stating that I should bring up the concern with the person or people that are making me feel that way. And he was also helpful in the fact by stating that if I'm not doing anything wrong I don't have anything to worry about with which I totally agree.However because of his overall reaction I decided I was just going to let it go. I didn't want to bring it up with anybody else in the store. I just want to be able to come to Giants which happens to be my favorite grocery store in the area and be able to use the restroom and Shop like a person normally without feeling like I'm under some cloud of Suspicion.For now I will continue shopping at Giants because I do love the selection the prices and everything that comes along with the new renovation. However hopefully I won't reach my breaking point one day and have to take this to the upper management because when I go shopping I don't want to be treated like a thief. I wish they would pull up their security cameras for every time I visited the store to verify I have never stolen anything switch prices or done anything illegal or against the store.The situation is so obvious and bad I'm actually already pre-traumatized in regards to the winter time when I have to go in there wearing a coat. It's really sad to have to feel like this but again I'm going to practice a Buddha teaching and just let it go. They're wasting their time watching me like a hawk while the real thieves and shoplifters are walking out the door with their store merchandise.

I'm in there daily and it's usually a pleasant experience. The customer service lady Monet is a GEM she is always helpful, always smiling, and on the move, I mean she WORKS, she does hers and everyone else's. I'm just a daily regular customer, I don't know her personally, but from what I can see she is a good worker. There are two other cashier's that are always pleasent, (can't remember their names but I will edit later today or tomorrow if I see them)Now,What I don't understand is why does this store CONSTANTLY have people working in the bakery that can't decorate cakes with a simple Happy Birthday. Seriously if you work in a bakery the minimum should be knowing how to write with icing.

Clean very personable. Almost seems as if it's a job requirement to appease the customer. Giant is my go-to place.. foods fresh, Clean shelves floors, refrigerators ETC. impeccable even.. the fact they deliver handicap.. medicine it really seems that guy goes on his way to be your go-to... Keep it up!! And you'll be a giant overall stores 💯

UPDATE: This store has undergone a major renovation and the horrid smell in the seafood dept. is FINALLY gone! They have even added a natural section. The store looks beautiful! This community deserved an upgrade to their main grocery hub. Well done!

A mess but it's all I have around here.The only thing changed about this store are the higher prices and the lack of supplies.Still high prices for less.They have now made their site look like other Giant stores. They've rearranged everything so now you can't find anything. So a trip that would've taken 10-15 minutes takes 20-30 minutes. That's why I've moved on to another store where I can find everything with ease.

Been a resident in the Waverly area for 12 years and technically been going to Giant for at least 10 years plus. The security company that they hired is going to hurt someone. People be minding their business going throughout their day in the supermarket and the unhinged security officer that witnessed really be bullying people. There's a specific security guard white man with the glasses that I never seen before ever, just straight up be bullying customers. Giant really need to reevaluate the security companies who they hire to guard the store..If there was a closersupermarket in this neighborhood I will definitely go there instead of this giant due to the fact of these unhinged security guards..., and the customer service with the managers is terrible... if if you want to have a terrible time shopping for groceries go to Giant 33rd Street you'll have a blast.
