The prices in this market should be criminal. Its sad because they take advantage of the community they are in. Any dont have cars to go to walmart or other stores. And they take advange of the poor who are receiving food stamps. I pay cash so I try to advoid these excessively jacke up prices as much as i can

For this store to have been in our neighborhood as long as it has the quality of goods and the level of service are absolutely disgusting you can't get anyone on the phone they put you on hold forever the woman answering the phone is rude beyond words I've been in this neighborhood over 25 years and food Depot needs to go or at least get better management and employees

Food prices fluctuate depending on if food stamps came out. Constantly moving merchandise so it's hard to find ur favorite items. MOST of the staff are nice. The floor staff that is. Parking lot leaves much to be desired. The over all environment of the store needs to be better. The deli area can be cleaner All & all I try not to go there, but when I have to I just have to.

Everyone has to eat to live but at what cost. Food Depot in the Belair Crossing shopping center is an o.k. food market. Everyone also knows that having a market close by to several neighborhoods is better than not having one & being in a food desert. I feel like the owners of this establishment take full advantage of this at the expense of its customers. How , do you ask. Well by several things that I have noticed & experienced. First, I've noticed that during the period that EBT ( food stamps) come out groceries are more expensive than just 2 wks prior, 2ndly the meats are not as fresh & have bright red meat on the outside but a middle of bloodless darker meat on the inside 🤔 & the seafood dept just has workers, not anyone that really knows a lake trout from a whiting from a butter fish so don't ask if you yourself don't know because you will get what they have not necessarily what you asked for. Fair warning to those of you that like the nice lump or even back fin crabmeat. The container ( not the metal factory sealed cans) but the plastic ones with the see through top will have a whole lil' circle of the lump or back fin on top but everything under that will be claw or special. Believe it or find out the hard way for yourself. No one wants to pay top dollar for something you would put in crab soup or a dip but can't make a decent crab cake with. Owners of Food Depot need to do better. Maybe the thinking is if no one complains than everything is good. When the people get tired. & a new guy ( market) opens nearby you may need to up the quality of your products, especially those that smell a little fishy & crabby. Give the people what they want , not what you want them to have !!!

They usually have good deals and the staff there is very friendly and willing to help. It's a great place to shop for a party because they also have a liquor store inside of a grocery store. It's kind of off to the side which is great because it's not easily noticed by children. The accept food stamps and often times have people selling things in the front of the store.

Very nice store. love the tables next to the cash registers with the discounted price items always find some great stuff there. The fruits and vegetables always very fresh and clean. I love that you can buy small quantity and large big box bulk items as well. Them like other stores you can always find Everfresh in almost every flavor large and small bottles.

I would not shop here , I will say it appears to be clean and reminds you of a very low low budget Sam's club. They element there is scary to say the least. The parking lot is open season for the imagination and the police seems to look the other way. The pricing is very affordable but the trade off is your health and safety . The food is loaded with dyes, preservatives and high fructose corn syrup. Shop at your own risk

Convenient for the Belair-Edison neighborhood. Prices are reasonable especially for cereal and lunch meat. I like the hot food selection and the store made potato salad. But you have to double check the expiration dates. Sometimes the sales are too good to be true.

It really stinks as soon as I got out the car of piss. Then the market smelled bad as well. I did not want to shop there cause it stunk. The prices were higher too. Never going BK. They need some improvements . The store was neat but couldn't handle the smell.

I may be a little teeny bit biased since I work here, but this store really does have a whole lot of good stuff to offer... It truly is special when you consider how many neighborhoods in Baltimore City are considered to be "food deserts", it is fantastic to have a full-fledged, full-service grocery store in the area!!

Nice and very clean. Didn't give a 5 star only because of a few items I couldn't get.

The market has some pretty good deals but they don't always have everything I want in stock. I like it for last minute/ little things. I noticed they have new staff so things may pick up as far as service and efficiency at checkout

Never been to Food Depot. I was shocked at how clean the store was because I’ve heard horrible things about them. The customer service was EXCELLENT! Great prices, clean parking lot, I felt safe! Keep up the great work.

Food depot really have to do better! I purchased some steak fish from the store on Belair Rd. I was wondering why the guy was fumbling through the fish only to get home and clean it without a smell..only to cook it and proceed to eat it and it smells like STRAIGHT AMMONIA. This is not cool or okay I was preparing to feed my family with this dish now a waste of my time, money and dinner!

If you shop at this location early in the morning or 2 hrs before closing, the store is clean and well maintained (stocked). Consumer during those times are less scary. Get rid of the rif-raf on the surrounding areas of the store, you'd draw more consumers.I love the 2 for a Pepsi sales !!

It's always crowded which is a good thing for the owner. Always well stocked. Always crowded in the front of the store. Too many outside venders in the store selling products. The floors could be a little cleaner. The staff members are always nice and professional.

I visited this store mostly on saturdays at the meat dept something caught my eyes Whaooo they have goat meats.l was so happy at least I come across those in Africans store well, way to go l bought two bags of those which was packaged so nice with words branded (goat meat) each bag was $9.99 whengot home I can't wait to cook them cause l have taste for goat meat while cooking I realized it wasn't goat meat it some beef meat. I was totally disappointed l call the store manager all they said, they were sorry that's how it was delivered to the store they don't know how goat meat taste like or look like they just know its a beef meat...

Customer service is terrible. They claim wifi down every time and western union down. But cashiers still up and running and lottery running. So Walgreens at Erdman shopping center they gets all food depot customers coming there because food depot customerservice dont want to work. This happens more than once. They dont need a customers office at all. Bad service. All other departments ok in my book.

This is a ghetto store, food prices steady going up. People hanging around and in front the store, got to walk over top to get in.Some cashiers are nasty , dont even speak to you while you spending Your Money. Stopped going in and the deli dont look clean.Wish two guys were still there.

We only shop here during the holidays because they have great prices on produce like greens, potatoes (white and sweet), etc. Their meat is higher than their competitors and the lines are usually long. They also have a liquor store inside of the market, not open on Sundays.

I haven't shopped at food depot in years . and I had almost forgotten why I had stopped going to this store, until I arrived there. The first thing you see is people standing around the store and in the parking lot asking for money or if you need a Hack (ride), trash all over the ground and in the shopping cart. Before you even make it into the store you are met with a distinguish smell, (trash), (rancid smell). Even thoughThe prices are very reasonable, but for everything that you have to endure before entering the store you ask yourself is it worth it

On the pricey side. Reminds me of giants with the prices and a little of Sam's club because of the bulls you can get there. But not that cheap for someone with a tighter budget. At least that's what my experience was. Highland town market is better pricing but doesnt have the variety this market have, so pick and choose but I still like there though. Just need the money lol.
