I love this place. I take my rambunctious 9 month old husky for daycare 5 days a week, and she loves it. They make sure that she's comfortable and well rounded being around other dogs and people. I also can't say enough about her trainer. Because of my Egypt Downtown Dog Resort & Spa have become mu other family. Th

Picked up my uncles dog Monday. Utterly disappointed and heart broken at the condition of the dog. I work in the vet industry (in the ER) and would never tolerate any of the animals in my care going home looking this way. I am taking him today for another vet visit today to get another evaluation be shaved properly and have a full medicated bath. I am fully aware he stayed for an extended amount of time and was very stressed, his owner is in the hospital. I am fully aware hot spots are common and I’m fully aware they are treatable, I treat them everyday!!!!!! But this is unacceptable. I hate leaving any negative reviews but this dog has been through enough. Please please please everyone always be aware and advocate for your fur babies

I can't recommend this place enough. My dog, Dorothy, has severe separation anxiety, and she hated my transition from remote grad student to working in-person. I tried a million things to help her before landing on doggy daycare. Downtown Dog Resort was such a lifesaver. Dorothy LOVES the staff here, and they all go out of their way to let me know she's in good hands. She is just as excited to see them as she is to come home to me, which is unbelievable for a dog who, one year ago, refused to let anyone else walk her besides me.The peace of mind Downtown Dog Resort has given me is priceless- I wish I could give you all more than five stars. Thank you for taking care of my girl!!

Love this place both the dogs and I. The staff is super friendly and professional. Having a Pet clinic next door makes it super easy as well.

I bring my dog here for daycare and/or boarding a few times a year. The staff are great with her. The facility is wonderful and I love the Facebook posts with pictures.

Looks clean and the front desk ladies are friendly. My Boston didn't seem to nervous just protective of us. Gave her lots of leash to explore while I did paperwork and presented my Groupon.

On dog #2 now, and both of my baby's have loved going there; its literally served as their home away from home! The staff knows each dog personally, so I feel good about dropping my fur baby off and knowing she'll be cared for. Her after a long, satisfying day of play 🤣

I felt safe leaving my dog with them and after leaving her with them a couple of times I definitely would recommend them to my friends and family.

I recently moved to the area and was concerned about finding great daycare for my dog. Glad to report that at Downtown Resort and Spa my dog has found her pack. The staff at Downtown Dog Resort and Spa give my dog extremely loving attention. She loves going to daycare and best of all she loves going to boarding. If you need a full service place they also have Veterinary Services on site. Don't delay!

I boarded my dogs Labor Day weekend and they were completely fine when I dropped them off. Shortly after bringing them home I noticed they were hacking a good bit. That night my Weimaraner threw up six times. My husband wanted me to wait to see if he got better because they had to get the required flu shot and he was thinking that may have caused this. The hacking has gotten progressively worse and I’m calling our vet as soon as they open today to get an appointment. Clearly by the other reviews written, sanitation is a problem. I’ve boarded our dogs numerous times at other boarding facilities and they’ve never come home sick. Over $300 for boarding, $160 for the required flu shots, and now a vet bill I’m going to have to cover. Never again will we board our dogs here.

The folks here take the best care of Giggs! It's a great facility and people. Flexible packages, no need to make appointments unless it's a holiday. Can add on other services like bathing as needed.

Was nervous leaving my dog for the first time for 6 days but they were real pros. Rolled with refrigerating special food for my dog, she came back fresh and clean and looking well exercised. Super responsive, and you can tell the people working there genuinely care.

I rescued my dog Jackson a couple years ago, he has a rough past and suffers from anxiety, especially separation anxiety. We have been to MANY daycares and boarding facilities, none of them can compete with downtown dog resort. My old daycare had NO clue who my dog was, they needed information every time i dropped him off or called. Downtown dog resort knows my boy and doesn’t even want him to leave when i get there to get him. I’ve never seen him so excited to go somewhere without me. it is so comforting that they know him and take care of him and all of his issues. they really take the time to get to know the dogs and form a bond with them. this will be jackson’s home away from home forever!!

If you love you dog, avoid this place. Our experience was horrible. The place is filthy and the staff are extremely incompetent. Pick up was a nightmare. My dog has scratches and rashes all over his legs that no one could tell me the cause. Do they not watch the animals?! Even worse, they could not tell me how much medication my dog received. That’s just fundamental and unacceptable. The manager wanted to speak with my about my terrible experience and assured me she would call. She never did. This place is the worst.

I only use Downtown Dog Resort and Spa when I go out of town. The Staff is amazing and they greet my dogs when we walk through the door.

My dog absolutely loves it here. He came from another daycare where he kept getting into scuffles with other dogs. He has not had one scuffle here. The staff is friendly and loving to the dogs. The owner, Jim, is awesome as well. They have veterinary services on site and have community days for you to bring your dog for shots. Best of all, they have holiday parties! If you want a safe and caring facility for your dog, choose Downtown Dog Resort & Spa!

I've left my puppy here several times in the past, and the majority of the visits, it was a struggle to find records of my reservations or payments. I've always felt they were disorganized, but at least they took care of the animal. They will board un-neutered dogs, which is certainly a plus, and the main reason I brought him back. This last visit was inexcusable. I left my 10 month old puppy there for a week. They didn't give him any of the treats I had left (including ones to help him with anxiety), and they didn't feed him literally half of the food I packed. Over one week, he lost three pounds. This is beyond negligent! I won't be bringing my dog here again.

I’ve been going here for about 2 years for both day care and boarding. I can’t emphasize enough how genuinely nice everyone is! I’ve got a high anxiety pup and they do a great job making her and I both feel comfortable leaving her. Also, unlike most boarding places in the city, they have large outdoor spaces so the dogs aren’t stuck inside all day (unless the weather is bad of course).

I cannot say enough positive things about the Downtown Dog Resort and Spa. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and truly care about dogs. They take excellent care of my year old French Bulldog who LOVES it there!! They are very in tune and knowledgeable about the breed, will pull her inside if she gets too hot or over does it and give me updates about her improved interactions with other dogs (she doesn't have the best manners and wants to play with everyone!), who she likes to play with, and really know about all her quirks and nuances. I show up at all hours of the day to drop off or pick up and the place is always clean and the dogs who I see appear to be well taken care of. I've also seen how the staff interact with her on their videos and pictures, particularly when she isn't the subject of the photo/video but in the background. If she has had a particularly rambunctious day and has gotten especially dirty, they bath her free of charge. They also were over the top thoughtful and helpful during my pregnancy, often taking her in for me or bringing her out if they saw me pull up, boarded her with no notice when I had my daughter, and continue to remind me to call them when I get there so they can come out and get her so I don't have to disturb my baby to bring her in. There is another dog daycare literally 1/2 a block from my house but I wouldn't think of taking her anywhere else. In terms of the cost, I have found them to be comparable or less expensive compared to other facilities that offer less in terms of space, services, and boarding options. And they offer a discounted packages. Definitely check them out if you are looking for fun place for your pooch!

We've been taking our dogs here for years. They go for daycare multiple times a week and we'll board them when we go away. They always come back tired from a day of fun and they are always excited to go back to "school." The staff is attentive, kind and caring. They are as excited to see our dogs as our dogs are excited go. We've also used Daf, the trainer on staff, to train both of our dogs. One of our dogs needed a bit more attention and it was night and day when she was done with him. Her personality didn't change, but she would listen and focus.

Bear always has the best time at the dog resort!! We live 2 hours away, so we make a point to send him to the place with the best care for our pup for longer stays. With the wonderful staff and the hospital on the premises, we know he is in great hands while we are gone for long periods of time. He is always exhausted and happy when we come to pick him up!

Downtown Dog Resort is the BEST. Everyone is always so nice and accommodating there and my dog absolutely LOVES it. I usually take her once a week and she gets so excited when she gets in the car in the morning. When I pick her up she is absolutely exhausted and I know she got so much exercise and had a blast!I've tried other daycares before, and this is by far my favorite!

Great accommodations & mixed experience with two senior dogs over labor day weekend. I dropped off one dog in poor health and the other in good health for a luxury suite. The healthy dog had a great experience and the ailing dog declined in health.Bottom line: I wouldn't hesitate if your dog is in good health, but would avoid boarding if pet has significant infirmities. Which is a little disappointing since there is an on-site vet.

A couple of years ago, I adopted a dog who was rescued from a horrible hoarding situation. He quickly became very attached to me and developed severe separation anxiety. He injured himself trying to get out of a crate and I had to barricade my windows to keep him in the house when I went out. I checked out several pet daycare facilities, but most of them left the dogs outside unsupervised, had poor fences or other problems that caused me to reject them. Then I found the Downtown Dog Resort and Spa. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this facility is. The outdoor play area is secure, clean and well supervised. The staff members are true animal lovers who play with the dogs and care for them like they were their own. It is reassuring to know that there is also a veterinarian office on site. I now have 4 rescue dogs, all of whom spend some time at Downtown Dog Resort. The quality time they spend playing with the staff and other dogs gets them plenty of exercise and helps them all to be happy, well adjusted dogs. The Downtown Dog resort is the only place in Baltimore where I would leave my dogs.

We had three days notice that we had to introduce a new untrained active 3 year old dog into our small home with our existing 5 and 7 year old pit mixes. Daf did an amazing job in only a few days getting this dog leash trained ( very important as we live in the city with no yard) and to understand basic commands of sit and stay.He also helped introduce the dogs at the daycare so they were familiar before the new dog entered the home. It was a smooth weekend and we look forward to getting her more training. Worth every penny !! Highly recommended !

My dog loves Downtown Dog Resort, and so do I. She goes a few times a week for day care and frequently boards because I travel for business. When we arrive, the dog runs in to get started playing with her buddies, and when I arrive to pick her up, she is happy. Plus, the owner and staff are extremely caring and will go out of their way for both their human and canine customers.

Upon entering the staff and accommodations seemed nice. Although the dogs I boarded can't play with other dogs outside, we saw the outdoor play area when we were driving away and they were a little disappointing---- nothing more than a concrete play area was surprisingly small. It did make me question spending the $10 for extra playtime for our dogs. The kennel techs were very friendly though and our dogs went right back with them when we arrived; something they would usually never do. ONE REAL COMPLAINT: our dogs smelled so bad when we picked them up. I know they are boarding at a kennel, and I used to work at a vet, but I could smell them as soon as they came out. They smelled like old urine and as if they had peed in their run and been left to lie in it. Their demeanor was fine and they were happy to see us, but they really smelled horrible and even felt grimy. Having to give two large dogs a bath after a 12 hour ride home is not ideal!I would give them another chance though because I think for the money the actual accommodations, staff, and overall vibe of the business seem credible.

I have been taking my dog, a rescue, to the Downtown Dog Resort & Spa for nearly a year. He is a pit mix and has loads of energy. He absolutely loves going to daycare there. I have not had any issues with the staff or facility and highly recommend it to others. They take special care in matching dogs to others during play time to ensure they all get along.I have also boarded him there, used the grooming services, as well as the training on offer. Having a vet co-located in the building is a real bonus and convenience. They are all top rate. Keep up the great work!
