This is the only dollar store in belair Edison community. The staff is kind and courteous, I have nothing bad to say about them. It's about the store in general. The store needs more security provided by corporate or the franchise that opened them. I was told if the store opens before 9am they will be robbed. So they open only at 9am. In addition, I just learned they were shut down temporarily for an insect infestation. That's gross. They sell food items such as bread that isn't in a sealed container, such insects could be crawling over the bread. They carry diseases. I feel for the employees, that's a terrible working environment. I feel for the customers such as myself. Upper management needs to do better period.

Bring back the manager!!! This store opened over 2 hours late. The manager sat in the store pulling harvest items 8am to after 10am. She wouldn't open the store. One cashier arrived after 10am. Once again the delivery guy was banging and trying to deliver the products, he couldn't get in. Store looking worse, dirty as ever. Normally the manager has the guys clear the floors and do the stock. Whoever this woman is in there is going to have us stop coming here. Bring back Ash!!!! These people need her to come back and get that store together!!!!!!!! Store opens late and closes early....smh

This place always has something going on. They always open late. And never have clean walk ways. Worker's don't know how to do cash app or PayPal payment's. They open and closed whenever they want to the store is pointless at this location.

The culture can definitely be way better, you know. The dollar general stores located in the my hood or in any hood are cool but they in certain areas that need attention. Please hook those stores up in these urban communities and load up on security and when you invest more into the stores you will get results but that's my opinion for I feel will do great. Baby steps of course. Trust and believe stores like this are in deed a good thing once changes are upgraded. People work better way better together when the culture in the the store is seen and heard in a different kinda light. And also handled with care. The store should have dedicated employers too. Employees love that. It puts atmosphere in a positive way. Not everyone is in the same category so stop with these statistics and numbers too. Overall the I feel the stores can survive but what do I know. So don't shade me because I spoke on how I felt please and thank you.

Went to 3 Dollar Generals and this was after 8AM...And none was open. It was just staff in their drinking coffee. I like Dollar General, but they need to tighten up their laissez-faire culture,it opens up opportunities for staff to abuse the community by failing to avail the store to the people as stipulated by corporate vision.

I'll be happy when they fix that broken 💳 card reader. It's broken and you have to hold it to use it. If you have a chip you have to use debit or it will read as declined even if you have the funds. When it's slow the cashier are never at the register, and when they are there always on the telephone. Plus all except one has a very poor attitude. By comparisons they make her look great. She smiles and greets you when you walk in.

Came in store the cashier was rudd ..the line was all way in the back of the store. When I ask for the manager she told me she was busy .i.ask for 5 case of water. She told me their where to high and no one can assist me. I ask to speak to the manager the second time. she came out and did help get the line down .. you can tell the store manager was off and the regular friendly crew was off .this not the first time this lady be rudd..I won't be coming back at all

It's in the hood and some of the staff acts like it. I walked as the cashier was getting ready to jump over the counter while arguing with a couple of customers. There were 2 Security Guards standing in the door while all of this was going on. Finally the line started moving again but the cashier kept talking on her cell phone about the altercation. Not a very good store.

This location is so unorganized and dirty looking. I love shopping and getting everything for a dollar. But I rather feel comfortable while I'm doing it and I don't get that vibe here. Travel a little further north on Belair Rd and go to their other location.

This particular Dollar General it's just ok to me, it's never clean n u don't get the help that u need from the staff there u might get a hello from 1 of the cashier n she's the only 1 that's friendly working there, i wish that i knew her name cause she doesn't belong in the category with the other's that works there cause she's pleasant n helpful, who's ever managing that store is not doing a good job, the shelves r hardly stock'd, smh

The store is kept clean and the staff is very friendly. They were out of a few items that I was looking for. They hadn't restocked the shelves.

They had most of what I needed but the place looked tossed over. The staff were helpful. Things in the fridge are pricey though but all-in-all...you can't beat that for a dollar folks.

Terrible, junky, long line with only one cashier who ran out of change, the person who could get change was in the bathroom. People had to check their bags at the door, but wasn't given a number. Why are the chain stores in the black neighborhoods always a mess?

They need to close Dollar tree, Save-A-Lot, Aldi's, family Dollar all was put in the black communities which is never stocked. Managers and cashier's are very rude. Mold laiden bags of chips, pork rinds etc. They only put duralex stores in urban communities

Yuck! The store was awfully dirty and the employees just stared at me after I had to climb over a used bucket of water and Mop, a bag of trash, and some taken down store shelves that were in the way just to get to the merchandise. I felt as though I was dumpster-diving...
