I loved taking Mama to Academy Animal Hospital for an ingrown toenail. They were so nice, warm and professional towards her my 15 year old cat. I am bringing Gizmo my other cat to them this weekend. I have been searching for a friendly pet clinic. I finally found one that fits me.

Brought in 3 newborn kittens that have been abandoned by their mother. They were dying & i needed help. They turned me away. 2 of those babies passed away.They also didn’t notice a TUMOR inside of chase lichtenberg’s head! Never followed up after the visits. poor baby passed away.I do not recommend this hospital. The older women there isn’t very nice & should seek new job opportunities.

Academy is great, and Dr. Lewis is such a fantastic vet. We trust Academy for the care of all of our animals. Whether it’s just routine shots, medications, or surgical procedures, I know Dr. Lewis and all the vet techs at Academy truly care about the animals and will explain everything and offer appropriate care and recommendations for any situation. Thank you! Coal, Marley, and Ani are always in good hands.

I adopted a VERY SICK stray cat. I took her to Academy and gave her all her shots but she was SO SICK I had to take her back the next day. Dr. Lewis worked his magic and she is GREATLY IMPROVED. I truly thought she would die right before my eyes. I am SO THANKFUL to Dr. Lewis and the staff for their loving care. ❤️

I took my dog here for years. I was always told his teeth looked great. Well after switching vets he’s getting NINE teeth removed today at a total of almost 1,500 dollars. I’m pissed. If I knew his teeth were so bad I would have had them cleaned sooner. They’re a vet and can handle small stuff but clearly lack experience in dental care.

My first interaction was rude with an older lady that answered the phone and it felt like she didn’t have time to answer any of my questions or take down any information about my fur baby . When I came to the office and was trying to check in, a lady name Ashley help me out and she was very professional, polite and all around nice person. If I let the lady that was really rude over the phone stop me from just still going here then I wouldn’t have seen how everyone one else were. Down to the front desk ladies, the assistant and the veterinarian they were really helpful and answered all the questions I needed. So 4 stars because of my first interaction with just one person.

Before Covid they let me go in with my dog who has high anxiety. She wiggles &will actually poop herself bc she is so scared. When I was able to go in I could calm her down so they could complete it. Due to Covid they was making us stay in our car in the parking lot while they cut her nails. I asked if I could go in with her I had proof of being vacinated I would show my nursing credentials from the hospital so I could be my dog support they still said No. So I reminded them of her anxiety & if they couldnt do it if she was to overwhelmed just bring her back to the car. They bought my Fur baby back to me poopy and her eyes was blood shot red from straining & being held down. They didn't even tell me I saw it for myself. Certain animals require certain accomodations.

top notch enjoy the people there. i will admit that with the rise in everything around us it can make the prices sometimes hard to swallow but i have never felt like the quality of service, information, and care has ever diminished. i look forward to their move to appointments.

Updated: Dr Lewis and his partner sold this practice to a corporation. There is no more 7 day a week service. You are lucky to be able to be seen at all. If you are REALLY lucky the wonderful Dr Lewis will be there to see your pet. Vet hours are very inconsistent and this is no longer a reliable place to center your vet care. After over a decade we have given up and gone elsewhere. Such a shame.

I've only been here once. They were kind enough to see my 17-year snuggle buddy in his time of need. It was a sad day, but the doctor was compassionate & Ashley was very kind. Thank you for helping me to ease Rusty's pain & send him on his way. Farewell, old friend. You will be missed & remembered. 💝

as always Dr Lewis came to the rescue and did a home visite to trim our piggies hoovesShirley and LiamNext we will be taking our other 2 fur babies in for check-ups and shots. We always offer Dr Lewis extra money for taking out of his very busy schedule but he does not accept. He loves what he does and does it well

I will never bring my cats here ever again. Dr. Lewis misdiagnosed my cat with fleas just by looking at him. No blood work or anything else. Well, a better vet did a full exam and it was cancer. He also misdiagnosed another one of my cats 4 years ago with a hairball, well he started having seizures and had to be put down the next day.

Awful, terrible patient rapport. Horrible experience in September 2019. My dog died at home less than an hour after our visit for muscle weakness in the back legs. The Vet didn't even make eye contact, mumbled through the whole exam, and said her heart was strong. He talked to the Vet technician more than to me, and was giving me his opinion on her eyes rather than her legs, which is why I brought her in. Very bizarre exam. When I left, I even said that I didn't have a good feeling about the exam, and didn't feel better after bringing her in. Which, I was correct, given the fact that she died when we got home!!! . They also never respond to emails. I wasn't going to say anything but "rate your experience" just popped up on my phone, and this was my experience, very upset and sad. 😢.

I love this place and all the workers there. I have been with them for 22 years and I trust no one else with my babies. Recently we lost our little girl and my boy Rusty is heartbroken. He has really changed. I had to go out of town and they boarded him. I really expected the worst when I got home, but he was fine because of all the love and attention he got while there. Thank you all.

They’re only good for the yearly shots . Staff communication is trash. 1st red flag they wasn’t capable of diagnosing my pet with arthritis and or just bad hips. Gave me pills that didnt work. Asked a vet tech i knew and he pointed me in the right direction over them.2nd red flag in april i went for his routine shots nd sat in the room for 2hrs. now I wouldn’t be so mad if they had came in let me know and told me i can go wait in the car cause it was no seats in the room. Instead i was told nothing until an hr after waiting when i popped my head out to ask if they forgot i was in there. Dr never apologize and plus I think its time for her to retire (my opinion) took them no more than 10mins after she entered the room.3rd red flag call to see i can bring my pet in told me i had to make it there within 15min (at 2) cause they closed at 3 okay understandable. Told her dnt worry bout it ill go to the 24hr vet seem like she had an attitude nd just hung up. Yeah trying to get in another vet asap.

I'm very happy with the excellent care they gave my cat after he was attacked by some animal. He was wounded but came through the operation very well. He made full recovery. They genuinely care about the animals they treat. Their fees are fair and very reasonable.

I have never given a place a bad review but all I tried to do was call and get an estimate for getting my cat neutered and the secretary I spoke with was unbelievably rude. She told me the price of the procedure they she kept mentioning my cat would need medicine which I knew but she would not give me a price estimate claiming because she didn’t know the size of the pet so it depends. I called back with my pets age to see if then she could give me an estimate and she cut me off mid sentence with an attitude as if I’ve been asking the same questions over and over. I’ve been to this place before and have had amazing service but this woman made me not want to bring my cat

I first went here in an emergency with my very sick senior cat a few months ago. I called around to several places and no one could see her on short notice. Thankfully I found Academy Animal Hospital and they said I could bring her in at that moment! I was a bit put off by the lack of parking and curb appeal, but was immediately put at ease once they came out to chat with me. Everyone was so kind and gentle and Dr. Lewis was amazing! Not only did he help her, but was so down to earth and only did the work that needed to be done. It was the first vet I've ever seen where I didn't feel like I was getting taken advantage of or being overly charged. Now I am a regular and bring my cat for follow ups. This place is amazing! They are quick, efficient, and most importantly, compassionate. Also, I LOVE that you don't have to make an appointment and can just go when it's convenient.

This is the best vet I have ever taken my cat, they are compassionate and true animal lovers and doctor Lewis is truly a wonderful doctor I will never take my cat anywhere else except Academy animal hospital to see doctor Lewis!!! I would recommend this vet with 5 stars and a huge thank you for just being an amazing vet who truly cares
