This store has got to be the worse store you can imagine when it comes to customer service!!!!! The people that work here at night couldn't care less about a customer or anything else for that matter. There’s no acknowledgement whatsoever from any of them. I can’t think of the last time i was greeted, thanked or asked if I needed assistance. Word of advice: you can have the best merchandise and prices in town but the people that work up front should be the mascots for the business. I’ve worked in retail management for 30+ years and this staff would never make the cut under me. After all these years of shopping here I think I’ve had my fill and will not be returning to this location. I will take my business to Columbia, the prices are higher but the staff is so so much nicer!!

No more dressing rooms. No cashiers but tons of employees standing in the middle of the clothes aisles. It’s as if you are in their way when trying to look at anything. Felt like I walked into a hangout for young teens. This place has been a go to in the past. Would recommend going elsewhere.

It’s okay. You can find deals but only on 50% off sales otherwise they want $7 for a used top usually with stains or other flaws. The staff is great, I don’t know why there’s bad reviews about them. The customers are pretty annoying and rude so I’m not sure how the staff deals with that all day but they’ve always been funny and nice to me.

I stopped going there since they don’t have cashiers anymore you checkout yourself. No dressing rooms they get the donations for nothing then get rid of there cashiers they loose their job apparently the owner is money hungry. The prices have also gone up. Give people their jobs back. I don’t donate or shop there because of this

Sadly was disappointed at this thrift store. I came here because l heard what a great place it was for great deals. Everything seemed overpriced and/or junk. Very busy. Employees literally shove customers out of the way as they're trying to stock shelves. Wasn't impressed. Won't be returning.

ive never felt compelled to write a negative interview for anything until witnessing downfall of this store. the prices of nearly everything have doubled within the past 2 years then they’ve removed the entire fitting room area so you’re not able to try on any clothes with about 5 signs you can read going to the bathroom making sure you know you’re not allowed to bring anything in there to try on. if you buy something and it doesn’t fit well no refunds so you’re just stuck with it. some of the items that they keep behind the display have rose even higher in price even though they may not work or are completely destroyed but the owners could care less. i’ve even witnessed recently a bunch of broken up cracked tablets and phones all in one container being sold for 500 dollars,with you not being allowed to try or inspect any of them before buying. but what made me decide to write this was seeing them selling obviously fake pokemon cards for up to 50-90 dollars, with the few real ones being nearly triple what resellers are even selling them for in the hopes some poor kid begs their parents to buy these damaged up fake pieces of cardboard just because it’s pokemon.

They will rip you off! First they closed the fitting rooms so you CAN'T try on in store. Then after you purchase and try to return what doesn't fit, they won't give your money back. Shop somewhere else.

Great finds at this location. Large store. Kept clean and isles uncluttered. Some things even brand new, unused.Majority of the store is filled with clothing but they got bags, curtains, sheets, toys, paintings, lamps, kitchenware, etc. Seems they restock quite often.Early in the week is better than weekends. Great deals for the quality products; like curtains.

Returned for yet another visit today. It's always hit or miss with what you find, but that's part of the excitement. 3stars is because over the last few visits the staff have been horrible. Highly rude and unprofessional. Walked in this morning around 10am, the big screen seemed stuck on the 2nd Ave logo. Asked an employee what the sale today was and she rolled her eyes and told me to check the screen. So I waited almost 5min for it to cycle thru and was pleased to see it show all clothing shoes & accessories 50% off. I headed off to shop and was happy to find several things I liked. As I was checking out I noticed the discount wasn't applying. I asked the same lady I had originally talked to why the discount wasn't applying. She rolled her eyes, looked at my stuff and said that nothing I had was on sale, only silver tags. Confused I asked why the screen said something different, to which she replied it didn't and that I should read it more carefully. I immediately asked for a manager (who was super sweet) and explained the situation. She stood with me while the screen cycled thru and observed the 50% sale. The original employee stated oh that was from labor day (2wks ago!).The manager manually entered my discount to honor what was posted and instructed the employee to turn off the TV. The whole time the employee had an attitude and was making snarky inappropriate comments about me being cheap. My whole issue is her attitude and the laziness of most of the employees. At the time I was checking out the store had been open 2hrs... all the employees up front were just standing around and talking,how did none of them see the mistake and bring it to management attention?! And the treat the customers disrespectfully when they questioned it? As I was leaving I spoke with other customers who had experienced the same scenario. If it wasn't for the professionalism of the manager who assisted me I wouldn't be returning.

Store is fairly clean and organized. Sadly management can't figure out what they are doing so may their poor employees try to randomly reorganize lines for payment etc.I probably won't be back mostly because I have had bad management set me up for negative interactions with customers and it just feels aweful to see someone else in that situation.But the staff there are incredibly kind and sweet.

Most interesting thrift store for sure. Always is well stocked with some unbelievable deals. Lots of gems hiding right in front of your face. Visit this store frequently.Visited on 6-13. The selection was far better than my ladt visit. Bought some nice shirts and some garden work shirts. But, best of all, I found 2 nice Melnor oscillating sprinklers and a soft flow watering wand. Got all 3 for less than $10. Unbeatable to say the least12-26: Extremely busy. Selection was sparse in areas. May be due to it being the Christmas season. I did, however, find 3 nice sized ceramic pots with attached water bases. They were priced well below retail. Never know what you might find here.12-05-23: This place has fallen on hard times. Selections are priced way above what should be charged. It would help if the thrift store gang of men wouldn't be allowed to buy bunches of stuff for resale. They will practically run you over to get what they want.Ever since Shoppers bought this place out - the selections have dropped off in quality and the pricing has steadily risen. Walmart is actually better on some items. This is supposed to be a thrift store. The store is always in a shambles. It used to be a great place but is just a shell of that now. Won't be going back anymore. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Clothing Shoppers, Be Aware that DRESSING ROOMS ARE PERMANTLY CLOSED!!! I was in the Essex, MD 2nd Ave. location in Sept. 2023. I haven’t been there since Nov 2022. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! Apparently all their strs were bought out by "Savers" which I never shopped at b/c their clothing & items were very expensive & not as nice. Since 2nd Ave was bought, I noticed their clothes also went up in price, THE DRESSING ROOMS are Permanently Closed & they used to sell dept str clothing from last season, which they no longer do such, they did away with electronics & only have 1 color on discount days. And good luck w/that. Those days it seems there are no colors out to buy for that discount day. I won't be going back if I can not try clothing on!!! 👎

I love shopping here for the great stuff you can find and how easy it is to donate. Lately the experience has been very frustrating. Specifically the employees have been very combative and disrespectful. I've been shouldered more times than I can count. The fact that they are physical with customers in that way seriously crosses a line. Yesterday a employee walked over to the toys and started slamming them and batting them off the bottom shelf where loose toys must have been, she was literally whacking them off the shelf and they were flying all over the floor and almost hit me several times. I let my son pick out a toy and while he was picking a toy out this same employee walked over to me and asked me if all these kids are mine... She was referring to the several other kids who were playing with toys about 5 or 6 other kids around the same age. I said my one son is picking out a toy. She went on to complain about the children to me and grabbed my cart for some reason. I grabbed my cart back and then she started yelling "ALL KIDS BACK TO THEIR PARENTS" I understand that picking up after children making a mess can be stressful but this lady was out of her mind disrespectful. I have several other instances where I was either infuriated or almost in tears because employees have been so out of line. There are a lot of things I can look past seeing as this store is very busy. But the employees have absolutely no boundaries. Just because this is a thrift store doesn't mean customers shouldn't be treated with some degree of respect. Don't get me wrong, for every couple employees that are out of line there are some really kind souls here. Usually the cashiers are the kind associates I have noticed and the employees restocking are the one's running you over. And no it's not a bump or an accident, They are slamming into you and not blinking an eye. Hold them accountable, what horrible kind of behavior.

first time i saw an argument between staff due to one staff member selling an item after it had already sold with the item having a sold sticker to clearly indicate it was bought. multiple team members had to come and a supervisor to explain and deal with the situation. I ended up being the one able to buy the item but the supervisor left me alone to explain to the other customers why the item they paid for they no longer could get. they also did not issue them a refund and gave an item i paid for to another customer.

Pleasantly surprised on a whim of a first visit here! Stuck waiting for a bus, so we came in & browsed for a while. I rarely buy books at a thrift store, but ended up getting quite a few. My partner found some great little dishes & glassware for his rental project. Pop in here & you never know what you may find!

I've been to close to 500 different thrift stores on the east coast and this is by far the worst I've ever been to everything is way way overpriced all of your men's ties that have stains all over them or anywhere from 899 to 1099 all of your jackets are between 40 and $60 even low in brands that sell at Walmart all of your aisles are snazzy and dirty all your employees have attitudes. And it's the only thrift store I've ever been to that had a self-checkout

My experience at the store was superb. Since it reopened after the pandemic, there are new staffers who are very courteous.The store was very clean and most importantly shoppers adhered to social distancing and everyone I saw were a mask.I will definitely go back to do some of my Christmas shopping.

Employees holding items for themselves or for a customer that is not in store. Doing side deals. They purposely hold things in back for customers/friends and when they come in store they take it right to them, not putting it out on sales floor. My family and I have spent a lot of money in this store over past several years ($16,000.00 in one year) and if this continues will not shop there any more.
