You have to review your receipt because the price listed in the aisle is not the price on the receipt they constantly word for charged you also holy oldies the fruit section is the fruit fly kingdom and it's been this way for the last 10 years plus.Thanks for the reply, please prioritize fixing your pricing system, it sucks to have to take photos of what it is marked at in the aisle so we do not get systematically over charge by you. My mom has actually stopped shopping here because of how prolific the issue has been. I just go now if I don't have time to stores with out pricing issues. Like it happens 1 out of 2 trips.Update 202312 raw fired chicken ready to eat(watch out), family member purchased it not me.

Was told by the bakery that they only needed 24 hour notice to have a cake prepared. I placed an order 2 WEEKS prior to needing the cake for my childrens birthday party. When I arrived to pick up my order, there was no cake ready. The person working the bakery said she didn't know how to do cakes. I continued to ask managers and all throughout the store if anyone there could help. Not a single person in the store had the knowledge to use the edible image printer and put it on a cake. Now I was left with no cake and I'm 2 hours before the party starts. I will never order from safeway again.

For the most part I have been happy with this store and also get my prescriptions here. The pharmacy staff is great and I have been happy with both produce and meat departments. My biggest complaint is the poorly run Deli. I have never gone when an employee is behind the counter. I have had to twice standing at the Deli call the store to ask for help. When an employee does show up they are generally rude and seem annoyed they have to slice meat and cheese.. I have on occasion seen several young men in the back conversing but they never come out to help but that is rare. Normally no one there. Also I ordered a weekly special and was told they were out in the case and they really didn't want to have to look in the back. Seriously the Deli needs better management

Associate at the store made me bag my own groceries despite me purposefully choosing a regular checkout lane because I was shopping with my two very young children. Because I was trying to bag all of my groceries with two active little kids it took me longer than he had patience for and he threw two of my items on the bagging area. If someone comes to the full service checkout with two young children, is it too much to not expect to bag your items yourself?

This is a good local grocery store in Arnold. It has a really nice seafood department and deli. The store is clean and the service is friendly. Lots of great deals here.

I got some flowers today from Safeway, and I’m disappointed. Beautiful in store, and as soon as you unwrap the packaging at home, there are so many dead flowers underneath. I lost half of my bouquet from that.

Ordered at the deli counter. I asked for another item and the guy sighed and rolled his eyes. It was very obvious that he didn't want to wait on me. I couldn't bring myself to buy it. I put it right back on the counter and purchased my other items and left the store. I don't buy food prepared with bad intentions. Oh, he was very kind to the people after me - not sure what the issue was but I have my suspicions.

This is the order that nearly put the two people behind the counter into a coronary. I politely ordered. And then the cashier complained about me and my order to the person behind me who possibly was a manager but definitely an employee. She agreed my order was annoying. I asked the other employee were they really mad at me for my order snd she said well there’s only two of us here and stormed away. Don’t worry I won’t bombard you with any more orders. I hope you get treated by other customers better than you treated me.

I got these cookies from Safeway and they were littered with fly eggs. It was so disgusting. There are flies breeding all over these cookies. It's nice Safeway is open 24hrs but I would be extremely careful buying food from here. This isn't the first time something gross has come out of there.

This place is always a disappointment. No small carts available -- fetch one yourself from the parking lot. Got a shopping list? Likely you won't find half what you need. Not the iced tea I wanted. Most milk not stocked ( but could see it behind waiting to be put out). No one around to ask at 3:30 pm. On top of that ridiculous prices. For emergency trips only.

This is a pretty typical Safeway. Underground and ground level parking lot are easy to access. Starbucks with decent sitting inside. In store experience is as expected. Delivery and communication about bad deliveries is a ln issue. Overall, shop in person and you'll have a typical Safeway experience. Order online and you're gambling with satisfaction.

I hate this store. The prices listed are often wrong, they're usually out of the items I need, and you have to walk through a tunnel of junk food to get to the produce section. (Talk about unethical marketing!) Everything is crazy expensive. The people that work here are usually pretty friendly but turnover must be really high because every time I come here I see all new faces. I only shop here because this is the closest supermarket to my house, but I leave upset pretty much every time and vow to drive the 20-30 minutes next time to get to a decent grocery store.

The prices on the shelf etc are not what’s reflected on your receipt. This is a somewhat consistent issue I’m experiencing with ANY Safeway I visit. In particular I visit this store and purchased 3 fruits (mini watermelon, honeydew and cantaloupe). I added the sales price (1.99 each but you must but 3) to my bonus card via JustforU or whatever you call it. My receipt shows I paid 1.99 for everything except the mini watermelon (that was 5.99) because the cashier was either lazy or unaware of the difference in a regular vs mini watermelon. So a manager or idk what they were came to assist me at the service desk. As they approached me they were dragging their feet walking slow an very nonchalant. I explained the situation they looked at my receipt an proceeded to give me 1.50 back. If you calculate 5.99-1.99 the refund should be 4.00 not 1.50. When I brought the error to their attention they didn’t even care or say I apologize or even question me they gave me 2.50 more (laying it on the counter) and walked away. That to me was the epitome of gross and unprofessional customer service! Mind you, I get home and the cantaloupe was bearable even though it had a weird smell but the mini watermelon an honeydew were both completely mush on the inside. This is why they were 1.99 each.

I love the deli here! It's such an amazing and welcoming environment. The Deli Manager, DJ, is the best! He has phenomenal customer service, knows how to prepare as well as display the food in an excellent manner, and has good conversations with me every time I go in there. Edward, who is always so friendly, also provides amazing customer service too; every time I come in, he greets me and is smiling. Give both of them raises and promotions! Thank you, DJ, Edward, and the rest of the Safeway Deli for being such hard-working and great people.

A cashier was really rude kept slamming my chips and bread had to tell to stop different times. I asked for a manager but they said they were gone, when mangers leave at nite the kids that work there don't give a dam.

The staff at the Starbucks is awesome! They are all so friendly and efficient. If they are out of something, they always try to make suggestions for different drinks. They are my favorite Starbucks crew! My only recommendation is that there are times when they need more staff. It is really difficult for them to keep up with the line when there is just one person working.

No hot water in the mens restroom sinks, employees washing hands with only cold water then handling your food. Call Anne Arundel County Health Inspector. This is a recurring violation! Update 6-10-23 they have hot water now.

It's the most confusing store I've ever shopped in! The isle are chopped in half and the signs only tell you about the half your on. I spent way to long just trying to find the spice isle. I am not alone either. I helped 2 other customers find things in the store as they were as lost as I was during my last visit. Nice store other then that

This Safeway has gone downhill. Their produce is half rotten or about to expire. I had to throw away a third of the produce I bought after two days.The arugula that was supposed to expire January 3 was thrown away after two days on 12/30. Prices are consistently higher than other stores. Even the hummus was not sealed. No quality control. I’m done

Management is idiotic and the store is disgusting. You shouldn't be hit with the smell of ammonia when you enter a grocery store. It's so sad to see this store go down hill ever since previous store director Nancy Haskell left. Just go to Giant 5 minutes north on Route 2.

This is the most expensive Safeway I have ever been in. Name brands are more expensive than the Safeway in my neighborhood, and then if you're trying to save money and buy store brand, it's non-existent. I looked for Signature (Safeway brand) and found that there there is next to no selection if you do manage to find it, and it's as expensive as name brand. I work in this area, but there is no way I'm coming to this store again to get gouged.

The Olney Theatre's production of Beauty and the Beast was magical! The set design was brilliant; the actors absolutely top notch; the music wonderful; and the ensemble tight. The theater itself is small enough that every seat is a good one. Front of house is open and modern and comfortable. Covid precautions made being at my first show in a year-and-a-half feel safe (though I did spend intermission outside). If you enjoy theatre it's a quality experience!

Safeway is a nice shopping experience located on Ritchie Highway in Arnold, Maryland. The florist is always beautiful for ever special occasion you can buy fresh flowers and chocolates. There are many selections of fruit and cheese platters. The deli has fresh salads and subs daily and Rotisserie Chicken. Lots of speciality cakes in the bakery and of course great selections of Carvel Ice Cream Cakes. A great place to fill your prescriptions while you shop. Very clean store. The cashiers are always friendly and efficient.

They have done a lot to fix it up recently, now the staff are actually nicer to you and you don't see moldy food in the produce section. However they still need to do a lot about their reputation as "the unsafe-way". I should point out that we have started shopping here for last minute items because it was close when before we would drive further away because of the service and because of the food quality.The parking lot is the reason for the four, still a lot of weird things happening there....
