TOTAL RIP OFF! Took my dog in because he was limping. Dr Johnny wanted to run blood work. He also wanted to change the antibiotic that my dog was on, and when I asked why he dismissed me and said “that’s just the recommendation”. I said there must be a reason why he was on a different antibiotic and his response was “I couldn’t tell you why”. I left with a bill over $500 and they never called me with the results from the bloodwork. When I reached out to them, Dr Johnny said the labs showed my dog was dehydrated before ending the conversation. My dog was still limping and I had no explanation so I took him to a different vet. They did a simple exam and found he had a torn ACL. They looked at the blood work results and said he was not even dehydrated. Over $500 could have been avoided if I went to another vet that knew what they were doing and not seeking to rip clients off. I even talked to the manager to complain, and she said she would call me back within a few days. That was almost a week ago and I’ve heard nothing. This is a corporate owned place that rips people off and I would not recommend anyone to go here.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Terrible service with a vet who knew absolutely nothing and using Google to answer any questions. Then makes you pay 500$ for blood work that they don’t give you a call back on just to say the dog is dehydrated. Take my dog to my other vet and a simple body check we find out he has a torn acl. After calling Arnold veterinary hospital back, they won’t answer any questions and then tell us they will give us a free checkup visit which is worth $72 dollars. An absolute robbery. Also say they will see what they can do and call us back no later than 24-48 hours and it has now been a week without any response. This place is the worst vet you can ever go to. Stay away.

Finally! A vet I like. This practice identified two vaccinations my old vet had us giving our dog that she didn’t need. They are kind and really care about what’s best for my dog rather than what they can charge me for. Even suggested I get her flea collar elsewhere b/c it was cheaper that way. Love this place.

After having the same Vet and travelling to Laurel, MD we reluctently decided to try a vet closer to home. Our dogs are getting older and the vet visits have been more than one time a year for annual check-ups. We have been very pleased with Arnold Veterinary Hospital. We have seen Dr. Hemmer and Dr. Leigh and both are awesome. With them it's more about the care of the pet than the money and since my husband and I are both retired and want the best for our pets and trusting the vets that care for them, we could not be happier. Cannot go wrong. The office staff, the vet techs and the vets are awesome.

I’ve genuinely been moved by the service at this location. We called in a panic- three days from vacation with a very sick dog. Our regular vet and 17 other local vets were all booked. After spending hours on hold elsewhere, the receptionist here was warm, empathetic and immediately accommodated us- even calling with a cancellation to get us in sooner. When the first medication in the chain of troubleshooting didn’t work, they got us in the next day. Although we canceled our vacation to monitor her symptoms, she is almost fully recovered. The doctors here are experienced, knowledgeable, and great communicators. Dr. Hemmer went as far to check blood results while on his own vacation, and goes above and beyond to communicate with us. In a particularly ridiculous moment of customer service, when refilling medication- a staff member noticed our address was close to her own, and offered to bring the medication to a close meeting point when she got off work.In veterinary or medical fields, you often come across folks who are burnt out from the soul crushing mental health drain of the job. While I’m not faulting medical professionals on their coldness- because I could never do the job- I will say that the coldness or separation is sometimes noticeable. This has not been our experience at this office at all, and I really don’t know what we would have done without them.Thank you so much.

I've had nothing but great experiences here! I recently moved to Arnold at the end of last year, and it's always nerve-wracking transferring your pet's vet!They've taken fantastic care of my lab/shepherd mix, Brew, and always follow up to see how he's doing. I just recently adopted a cat, and her first vet appointment was fantastic. They do a great job of making sure your pets are as calm and comfortable as possible.I've seen multiple vets here, and all of them have been great! I would highly recommend Arnold Vet Hospital if you're looking for a new vet!

Amazing veterinary practice - Dr Hemmer and his staff! After taking my cats to one of the ‘chain’ vet places around Annapolis, and being told that they could not see my sick cat for two weeks, I took him here. It is the place pet owners dream of - attentive, polite, honest ( don’t try to do more than necessary), fair prices, and follow up with phone calls. Even the veterinarian himself called me to answer a question I had. My cats and I are very fortunate.

I do not have enough wonderful things to say about this place. I called in a panic because my regular vet could not see my dog in an emergency situation. Arnold Vet was so accommodating, not only did they get us seen that day but they treated us like we had been coming there for years. Every single member of the staff was so caring and helpful. The Vet gave our dog a very comprehensive exam and was thoughtful in his course of action, not jumping to run a battery of tests that weren't necessarily warranted. Thank you Arnold Veterinary Hospital for the wonderful and thorough care - Highly recommend!

My dog had an unexpected injury. I got off work and came home to my dog squinting and painful. They were able to get me in due to a cancellation. It was my first time here and I really enjoyed the staff and Dr. I was given a check in call the day after. The atmosphere is homey and down to earth.

We have taken our cats to several Vets in the Annapolis/Arnold area, and hands down this has been the BEST place we have been to! Great communication, caring staff, reasonable prices---would recommend to anyone. So happy to finally have a vet we trust going to! :)

I’ve been to several vets throughout the 2.5 years I’ve had my belle, and this is my favorite. Everyone is very friendly, they are very fairly priced and Dr. Leigh is amazing! Highly recommend

Recently my boyfriend and I got a kitten and I looked for the closest highest ranking animal hospital and would you believe it they're only a mile away! Making an appointment with super easy. They have very good parking and would you call when you get there for your appointment. Everyone was wearing masks and used lots of precautions and stayed 6 ft away. I was so pleased with the doctor and all of the assistance.

Although the outcome was not what we would have wanted, the way we were treated was absolutely unbelievable. Our pet was not even a patient yet. When we called our vet they could not or would not accommodate our emergency. Arnold veterinary hospital told me to come right away. Within 20 minutes we were being seen. The kindness and professionalism they shown us helped us through a difficult time. We have other pets that we will be bringing to them. We recommend them highly. To all the staff there thank you

I highly recommend this veterinary practice. Although I was a new client, the practice went out of their way to schedule an appointment that day to see my dog with an ear infection. The technicians were very professional and thoughtful. When I arrived for the appointment, there was a barking and agitated dog in the lobby. The technician took us back to an exam room immediately to make the registration process much smoother. We saw Dr. Hemmer, who calmly explained the planned diagnostics, the diagnosis, and treatment plan very thoroughly and completely,

I couldn’t ask for a better team of people. Every single person who works here is sweet and compassionate. They take such great care of both of my babies!!! Not only do they make accommodations when there’s an emergency but if you’re hysterical (like I was) they do everything in their power to ease your mind about what’s happening. I've been taking my dogs to Arnold Veterinary Hospital for many years now. Overall my experience with them has been very positive. Most recently I saw Dr. Menardi (sp?) and she was great with us. I especially appreciated her willingness to start with basics before jumping in and doing a lot of potentially unnecessary and always expensive tests. I have only had one bad experience in all the years I've been there and that was with a young vet tech who, I hope, is no longer there. I would recommend them to anyone.
