Don't ever pay via check here. My cc was shut off due to a fraudulent charge, so I went in on a Sunday and paid via check for a few items. No problem... right?? Well, the next day, Monday, my new card hadn't arrived yet, so I went in to go pick up more groceries and tried to pay via check. The check wouldn't process through. I called my bank, wrote out three separate checks, verified with my bank, and the previous check HAD cleared through my bank, but Walgreens wouldn't accept another VALID check (linked to my account WITH SUFFICIENT FUNDS!!) within a 48 hour period due to their 'fraud policy'. WHAT?? Ok, but what the heck am I supposed to do, since their pharmacy is closed on Sundays, but say I had a medication I take on a daily basis and needed to pick up the following day during business hours, and the only way I COULD pay was through a CHECK??But I can't because Walgreens has this 'fraud' policy and they need to verify the account and that takes 48 hours?? YET - they run the checks AS a card anyways?? My BANK verified that the funds from the previous day paid via CHECK - WERE ALREADY POSTED FROM MY CHECKING ACCOUNT. The cashiers didn't even know about this 'fraud policy', so how the heck are they supposed to act as the front line of the store when THEY have to call a manager who is OFFSITE to get an answer?? Absolutely ridiculous and potentially dangerous policy if someone NEEDS to get medications that same day, but CAN'T because Walgreens is withholding a VALID check verification AND their pharmacy is CLOSED on Sunday. Absolutely RIDICULOUS policy. And, while MOST of the cashiers are friendly and helpful, the one Caucasian female with the long brown hair only escalated already high tensions by being incredibly rude and sharp when SHE didn't know what was actually going on. I've been going to that location for a few years now, and have found it to be convenient, and the people friendly for the most part; however, I will NOT be doing business with an under stocked, understaffed store that practices nonsensical business practices. Walgreens, DO BETTER ffs.

WORST PHARMACY EVER! Not only do they fumble with actuator finding my meds from the shelf, or having all my prescriptions ready at the time as they say they are ready... a person behind the pharmacy actually called my Dr and spoke on things they had no business speaking on and really offended my dr/ office. To the point she is now refusing to send medication here any more. They are extremely unprofessional and very chaotic behind the glass. They also kept a prescription from me for 3 days... lying and saying it would be delivered the next day and then the next day I got a partial amount of 9/90 tablets. Even though they said a truck was bringing them.... obviously Tom foolery at play. I got no time for unprofessional pharmacies who lie and scream at my Dr when it is totally uncalled for. Never again walgreens at 1005 bay ridge.

The pharmacy simply cannot stay on schedule. Today I got my RSV vaccine. How can you be 30 minutes late for the first appointment of the day? My COVID and flu shot appointment a few weeks ago was two hours late when I gave up and cancelled. Absolutely no respect for the lives and schedules of others, and certainly not those of us who keep our own commitments.

What a swell staff in all of the positions there. They're all very friendly and helpful. It has a lot of stuff there to choose from as well. All around a great convenience store.

I must agree the pharmacy techs here are in need of training. I went for my Covid vaccination and Amanda told me that I needed to have my vaccination card. I told her this was not accurate and she just kept repeating the same line until I spoke with the District Manager and was told this was not the policy at all. I would hate to believe I received disparate treatment but,.who knows?

The Pharmacy used to be decent. Now they have one of the rudest pharmacist I have ever met. Madison is absolutely horrible!! Even my doctor's office said she was worst pharmacist they have dealt with in over 20 years. We both are filing complaints against her with the Walgreens Headquarters.

The cashier was absolutely rude. Hollering and yelling at everyone, including me. Very snappy. I’m usually not one to complain but attitude is nasty, just like her hair.

Patrice is such a sweet employee. She was the only one at the cashier and I felt sooo bad. She had a huge line of customers and I know it’s not her fault.The store is fairly clean and things are easy to find.but Patrice needs to be given a raise for all her hard work. She was scanning in inventory, taking passport pictures, and working the register. Such a great person!

I was in the store this morning and needed cash back, the cashier was really rude to me and snappish, she asked me how much money are you trying to get back cause I don't have a lot, I only needed $10 she stated she could only give me $5 back, I didn't know that they could tell you how much money you could get on cash back, she just was so really rude at 10:30 in the morning and I was not in the mood for an argument... And a lot of people have been complaining about the cashier's rude attitude...

Don’t bother calling the pharmacy… I got to the front of the queue, then they left me on hold for 2.5 hours and hung up on me shortly after 7 without actually speaking to me.
