The meat department had a deal of 4 mix of match meats for $19.99, so I decided to buy beef and it look good, but after I got home and opened it to cook it; the other side was in a bad stage all yellow and discolored brownish and orange. This is dangerous for the people’s health. Please do better next time.

Not worth the trouble to shop at. I am new to the area and had never been to a Safeway before and after two shopping trips will not be returning. The first time there was only one register open with a line, so I checked out in self checkout as it would be faster and it was empty. When I was almost done, I was told it is 15 items or less only for next time, okay no problem policy is policy. The 2nd time I headed to the register with a light on and there was nobody there nor in self checkout. We decided to go into the self checkout as there was not any employee s in sight. We got about a third of the way thru scanning, when the same employee who informed us of the policy last time came out and told us we had to get back in the register line. I understand it is policy, but I did not appreciate the employee insinuating that we were lying about nobody being upfront. If that is the policy , then the store needs to staff the front end accordingly. Despite of the product choices, prices and short distance, I will choose somewhere else to avoid the headache of checkout.

The worst grocery store I’ve ever been to. Customer service is awful, nothing is ever in stock, veggies and fruits are brown and outdated, carts and trash all over the parking lot and store. Annapolis deserves better, very disappointed in how this store is ran

Zero never have vegetables or never have updated good fruit, never no one at customer service the store managers always walking around laughing with other workers or texting on phone the manager kierra is a rude smart woman and sadly it's no lines ever open I think they should shut this down it stinks and food is old

I can't count how many times I've come to this Safeway and the produce shelves have looked like this. Just barren. What manager is okay with there being nothing on the shelves to buy at the exact time people are getting off of work and stopping by to grab something for dinner?

I bought a store-made chicken Caesar sandwich with bones in it.The check out lines are only express lines, and you almost always have to use a self-checkout machine.The employees keep many of them closed, and don't raise a finger when long lines form.

Got tired of Giant's self-service computers yelling at me so I've made the switch. It was a joy to scan my items without being subjected to constant computer errors and cranky cashiers. I save as much with the Safeway card as i did with the Giant card. Store is clean and food quality is good. Parking lot is small and a bit messy but i always get a space.

Used curbside pick up multiple times. Found that I could've gone in and done the shopping myself faster than the wait in my car for them to bring me the groceries. Extremely frustrating.

Produce dept was depleted on Tuesday. Very unappealing. Cashier not very friendly. Most of sale prices required purchase of at least 4 items: fine if you have lots of storage space. Not a very pleasant experience.

Bad badI ordered 37 items for delivery. The system would not accept my address at 2 compromise st in Annapolis, 3 miles from the store. I spent an hour putting the order into their system and then tried to enter the address. It would not accept the address. I called the store and they said I would have to call the tech department and gave me the number. I called. After about an hour tech support said that there was nothing they could do.I'm so frustrated that they had no answer to me. Ultimately the person hung up and I never did get my order.Very bad system. Very poor effotr by the store. Very bar effort by the tech person. VERY BAD.

This Safeway is deplorable. It has the worst selection of organic produce. They have expired food sitting on the shelfs. The fresh fruit and veggies have flies sitting over them because it is rotten. The fresh cut fruit section could be much better. The entire atmosphere of the store gives a dingy and barely holding on feeling.This store compared to the Arnold and Severna Park locations are night and day as far as a welcoming set up and better quality food (especially produce). I say take notes on the layout of those stores and how it invites the customer to want to spend more money. Every time I walk into the Safeway in Arnold I always spend way more money on produce than intended because it looks so clean, organized, well taken care of, and overall delicious.

This was at one time our favorite Pharmacy. After a personnel change last year I have had enough. Every month I make multiple trips to pick up a prescription to be told they don't have it.I went yesterday and was told it was too early for it to be filled. "It will be done tomorrow." My husband called this morning to be sure I could pick it up and he was told it was ready. I go to the pharmacy and I'm told it's on order. Never had this problem with the former pharmacist. CVS will now have our business. I should have mentioned that whenever there was a problem previously Willy, the pharmacy technician would call our physician and fix the error/problem. A few minutes of shopping and we had our prescription.

Major reset underway. Looking good!! I can't always find what I am looking for... but lots of new and 'on trend' stuff!! Staff looks really tired but glad it will be over soon. Love the Store Manager. She is always on the floor, working... and talking to customers, employees and vendors!! What a go-getter!!

The food is pretty over priced and there are so few employees that if you can find something in the store your are one your one. Also when I was there there was only self checkout available. Otherwise is was clean, had some decent seafood options, and a decent selection of products.

They were very busy on 12/31/21. I went in to cash a payroll check from a temporary job. I was fine with the 1.5% fee. The process was a little confusing for me and the employee at the service desk but still a positive interaction I appreciated. A manager came over to walk thru it figure out what we did wrong. I felt bad because they seemed really busy but they were so nice. I had a few items to pick up after that and the store was well staffed and stocked and clean and the lines were not even long. I could tell the employees were busy and working hard to keep things going smooth.

I use the store often and normally have no problem. Today I couldn't get the shrimp I wanted even though the fish man told me I had the right bag. I could not get a rain check very disappointing. According to the checkout person you no longer give out rain checks. It's not my fault you're not properly stocked I understand why offer a few day sale and then not have it halfway through the sale dates

Wonderful employees! I was welcomed & helped as needed. The cashier had a line, but continued to be friendly. As I left, Lamont met me to return the cart 🛒 for me.Seriously! The customer service during this visit was casual, friendly, and above and beyond!

I love Safeway and shop there often, however I will not be returning to this particular one. I have shopped there on a handful of occasions and its always the same thing, a staff that doesn't care to be there and you'd be lucky to have one look you in the eye and address you. Forget about any kind of help. The second time I went I used the self checkout so I didn't have to deal with the cold interaction with the cashier I had the first time. The person providing help was sitting at the end of the aisle after checkout playing on their phone, he didn't even bother to look up at me. Makes me wonder how busy, or not, their loss prevention manager is.

They ways have expired food and are always low on stock. They need new carts like the other safeway in Annapolis. There are like 10 cashier lanes but only 1 cashier open and the rest is self checkout. The bags have to be double bagged because they always rip before getting home.

Safeway food is expensive. The discount they gave you brings the food bill down closer where it should be. It is a quality store though. Food always looks fresh and you can find some decent prices on meats as they get closer to the sell by date. The store is pristine clean.

Few supermarkets make the five star for me but this one was close. My main complaint is the isles seemed very narrow to me. Associates stocking seemed to not really care about moving U-boats or buggies to let you through. There was nothing rude about their attitude. Prices were fair.

Shame on you Safeway. We get it staffing was tough entering the pandemic but you can hire more people now. We don’t need to live in a “one register world”… I normally go out of my way to Avoid this location because of this problem. That said, today’s fun adventure is me writing this review in line, with 5 others waiting behind me. I can spot 3 employees (1 appears to be a manager) who can easily hop on registers…Don’t worry other stores are doing the same, the bar is set very low right now..

If you can afford to shop elsewhere, I recommend doing so. This location smells bad, much of the produce is in advanced stages of mold and rot on the shelves, several of the dairy coolers have doors that won't stay closed, and today I encountered a dried pool of urine in the middle of an aisle (so who knows how long it had been there). Pretty consistently bad.

I feel like there is never more than 1 register open, so I use the self checkout option 90% of the time. They also run out of their sale items really quickly. Their saving grace is the staff. They're always friendly.

Used to love the Safeway on Forest Dr in Annapolis but they've changed and went down hill. Employees are not as friendly and they Mark up prices, was going to by my daughter a huge Teddy Bear for Christmas and the manufacturer price tag on it read $19.99 and Safeway put their own price tag on and it read $49.99. When I ask about their price being so marked up double. They just brushed me off. My daughter did take pictures and sent them to Corporate and their website but of course no real answers. They also have one pharmacist who is so rude, you can tell that she doesn't like working in this store as needed and she likes to talk down to people. I have reported her atleast 6 times. They do have 2 pharmacist there who are regulars and they're both phenomenal.

It's a terrible safeway, bakery is never stocked. Carts are never stocked and have squeaky/stuck wheels. Seems understaffed. Corporate should pay better to attract more staff

I noticed that when it was time to check out, the number signs for human checkout aisles were not highlighted making it difficult to find an available aisle. It was obvious that the store was encouraging customers to use the self checkout aisles. The self checkout aisle would not allow me to use my own bags nor put soda packages in my cart (after scanning). The assistant was not much help. I had the assistant cancel my order and checked out at a human checkout.In addition, the produce department had very few loaded plastic bag dispensers. Also, signs marking products location are inaccurate.
