A typical Petco, but there is a cat adoption room in the back. It’s partnered with a local cat rescue.The store itself is somewhat small. However, it’s always well stocked and the staff is very friendly. Always willing to help find something or answer questions. They carry a great selection of specialty and high end dog foods—we had to switch our dog to a grain free, poultry free diet. It’s one of the very few stores where we can regularly find Merrick items in store rather than having to order online.It’s located in a strip mall area with lots of great stores and restaurants. That’s good for other shopping, but bad as far as being busy. The parking lot is an absolute madhouse.

I enjoy shopping at Petco for all my Pets needs. I love that they give you free food after a certain amount of purchases. I always earn rewards for shopping. I recently started the dog training classes with Simon and I am happy with the progress so far!

This question is for the owner of Petco in AnnapolisMD. Can you tell your customers, WHY is Megan still working at your establishment. Knowing of all of the bad, and rude encounters that she has have with your customers. We have noticed that she had been reported several times, and months apart from each other. Last month and six months ago , but she's still there. So, is this the type of service that you would allow your customers go through. But the only thing that you say to us is that you will use the customers complain to better your company. BUT SHE'S STILL THERE. BEING RUDE TO PEOPLE 🤔🤨😠😡

If you need help with an aquarium, you need to talk to Jack! I promise you won't regret it.A little over a year ago I had very, VERY different opinions of this store, especially the Marine Aquarium staff. However, just over a year later, management seems to have really made an awesome choice bringing Jack onto their team. I can always tell if he was recently working a shift because the fish tanks look amazing. I no longer walk in to see incompatible marine life housed together and fighting to the death like I used to. Instead, the tanks are beautifully clean, well stocked, and appealing. Jack has been extremely helpful with his knowledge of Marine life compatibility & his extensive knowledge regarding all the different types of corals. His customer service is top-notch! He's always smiling and happy to help, even if you only have a question. You can tell that he truly cares about the creatures he tends to, not just the paycheck he is (most certainly) earning. While his expertise is saltwater, he also has extensive knowledge in freshwater. I just wish they would have him there more often as the difference in daily tank care can definitely be seen after he has been off work for a couple days. He seems to have nailed the sweet spot between juggling critter care & customer care, while also handling the daily tasks of still being a retail store employee (stocking shelves, plan-o-grams, price changes/sales, etc.). I have honestly stopped shopping at the Petco in Glen Burnie and only shop here now. I usually won't even buy anything from a tank unless Jack is on shift, instead I'll just wait to touch base with him on my purchase plan the next time he is working. I have purchased many many fish from this location and have noticed that the health of my new aquatic friends is far superior to what it used to be - no more horrified fish after being chased around their tanks as someone begrudgingly tries to help me, no snails practically ripped from their shells as they are forcefully pried off the glass instead of being offered it's friend sliding easily across the substrate, but most importantly none of the fish Jack has sold me, or the corals or snails or plants, have died; ALL of them are still happily swimming around in our saltwater or freshwater tanks!!!Thanks for truly caring about the animals Jack!! It shows and it really makes all the difference!!! Your location now has a faithful returning customer because of your excellent customer service, hard work, and dedication to the care of the animals. I even have my dad driving down from Glen Burnie to shop with you instead of shopping at the Glen Burnie location. He HATES going out of his way for something that he knows he can get somewhere closer but after I told him about my experience and how helpful Jack had been, my dad happily makes the drive!!**Note - I deleted my old 1 star review post to post this but I did take a screenshot of the old review first to include in the pictures I've attached. WHY? Well, because comparison shows the drastic improvement, my review only shows my opinion/experience. I'll let his tanks speak for themselves!

It is rare that I actually like going into big box stores but Petco is the exception. Management is great, workers always seem knowledgeable, helpful and professional. The groomer we use, who came highly recommended, is also amazing. We are starting dog training this week with Simon and am looking forward to great results. I always make an effort to shop in store rather than online so I can support this great store and it’s staff.

I returned two packages for Amazon and they never scanned the second package. Went back next day to check on it and they said they did and it never went into the system. So someone messed up and I consider it not good work ethics that they said, they scanned it twice, and they never did. Had to call Amazon to try to get my refund. Not happy with them at all at Petco.

Grooming service was horrendous, I’ve always gone to the Bowie location and had fantastic results. This is definitely a one and done, I’m never coming to the Annapolis location again.Update: received a call from this location to only have a super rude manager named Megan call and offer zero help, she also made my experience with this location worse really making me not want to do business at this location.

I was asked if I’d like to pay $.10 for a bag. I said no and carried my items out in a shopping cart as a matter of principle. I understand if you’re conscious of the environment but please be conscious of our wallets. Those bags aren’t worth $.10.

I was at this location a week ago for a check-up and vaccination for a new kitten. Turns our the age for kitten vaccines has been raised to 12 weeks, but the staff was super helpful regardless. The two young ladies that helped me and my bf were very kind and gentle with out little kitten and gave her the shots they could due to her age. The staff is knowledgeable and kind, exactly what you want when seeking medical treatment for your furry buddies. 10/10 would get their kitten vaccinated here again!

Meg is an amazing groomer. We have been taking our goldendoodle to her for years. Meg is reliable, talented and cares for our dog’s wellbeing. We are SO lucky to have her as a groomer and I hope Petco appreciates her as much as we do! Thank you Meg!

Yesterday I tried the online ordering and store pickup at Petco. It was so easy and quick. The store personnel even offered to load the large aquarium into my car. I'll continue to shop this way at Petco as often as possible. It's great because I know upfront if the items are in stock.

I went to this Petco for dog grooming, and I can only speak for Aryn as a groomer/stylist. She was AMAZING!! My dog, Max (poodle/maltese mix) was a tough case because his fur was locking up, matted in places, and was an overall mess from the pandemic and places not taking new clients. Aryn was gentle with him and he immediately warmed up to her. She talked me through what she would do to take care of his grooming needs and called me as soon as she finished so he wouldn’t have hang out in their kennel. Max is a senior dog and gets anxious, but he did great with Aryn. It’s clear she is gifted with animals and skilled as a pet groomer/stylist.

Had some grooming issues with our dog, spoke with the manager on shift Lindsey and was very understanding and helpful. Then we received a call back from the grooming manager Megan, quite the opposite interaction. She was quite rude and made an excuse for everything that could of possibly happened, regardless of their poor service. Not bringing my business back to Annapolis Petco.

I really liked it when I walked into the store where the groomer knows Bella by name. I've been going here for 3 years. I love love the blueberry facial. Bella always smells so clean after visiting the groomers, and she looks so nice and well trimmed.

While Petco has a 48 hour cancellation policy for grooming, they canceled my dogs groom appt with less than 24 hours notice and made no effort to reschedule her.ETA: After not hearing from Petco for two weeks, I heard from them today at 11:24am offering me a 12:00pm appointment because I was first on the waitlist. They waited TWO WEEKS to address the issue and then only provided 36 minutes of advanced notice for a new appointment.

Don’t get your animal groomed here! They won’t treat you with respect, nor will they stand behind their grooming, they prefer to make excuses for poor quality. Take your grooming business to Bowie Petco, always fantastic service and they always go above and beyond!

The best Petco I have been to by far. Extremely friendly and helpful. I drive 35/40 minutes to get to this store passing a closer store because of the great service I get, it’s worth the drive!!

Knocking off some points because they keep their beardies on sand which can have long term negative health effects. Still they have this gorgeous little guy on sale right now someone needs to get him because I am really tempted!

The people in the store a very friendly and personable. I do think there should be more of them, sometimes they can be extremely busy, and while trying to give each costumer the attention they deserve, others are left waiting. They are very good at letting you know that they will help you as soon as they are done with the customer they are currently helping. I love the fact that they give you the individualized service that is required at a pet store, like recommendations, advice, and just some general subject matter expertise. But that some times leaves others waiting. I don't think one or two more people per shift would hurt the companies bottom line, but would probably gain a few more customers, and would definitely make your existing, loyal customers, happier than they already are.

Purchased food online have delivery receipt that was given to me. Dog got very sick from this whole hearted grain free food. Manager Dan will not allow exchange. I am stuck with 20 cans of rancid food delivered to my house. Very poor customer service .
