Brings me back to my US Navy days, we called it mechanical fingers. Had an automotive fog light bulb break in 2 pieces. Once piece was stuck in the housing of fog light assembly. Auto Mechanic said he would most likely have to take bumper off to remove fog light housing. With a little patience, luck and this AMAZING TOOL, mission accomplished and saved me at least $200. Bonus, the folks at Cape St. Clare, ACE in Annapolis, MD are always pleasant and eager to help! The guy making keys was also easy to talk to and just happy to please customers!

Always friendly staff. It’s always a pleasure to shop there. I tend to find fun things I didn’t know I needed until I saw them. The store is like a combo home improvement and mom & pop general store. Highly recommend!

I bought an over priced child’s snow sled there. Didn’t use it and tried to return a few days later. They say they can’t return it because it’s a “storm supply” in the same vein as walk-way saltMeanwhile, the ace down the street in Severna park said they would return it. I’ll be taking my business to that location even though it’s way further for me.

They have what you need just like any other ace but if you’re under 18 then don’t even bother. They will treat you like a baby when I walked they all came up to me asking where my parents are and when I said I was alone they proceeded to escort me around the store, like I was a baby. I could barely get what I needed because they rushed me so I could get out of there. I’m a teenager I don’t keep help buying tape!

I am constantly impressed by the knowledge, professionalism and friendliness of the staff at Cape Ace. Some folks have worked there for over a decade. Plus, it is a rare thing not to find what you are looking for. Kudos to great service!!!

Extremely helpful staff, they're there to greet you as soon as you walk in unless they're all busy. It's a small, easy to navigate store. They have a lot of stuff (clearly not one tenth as much as Home Depot or Lowe's). They have almost anything you may need around the house or outside with obvious limited quantities and manufacturers, but you can still find just about anything you may need. The prices may be a little higher but at least you're not walking around for a half hour trying to find what you need. Usually in and out in two minutes. I also like supporting smaller businesses.

Staff are helpful and polite!They usually have what I'm looking for. I recently had some keys cut, bought smart bulb and slide window screen (I like to this screen in front on mine because I have a kittie, double reinforcement). They honestly have a great assortment of supplies and hardware!

Love this local treasure! One of the items my daughter wanted for her birthday was a Yeti cup. Unfortunately, I was unable to get there during operating hours but the owner picked up the phone and said "sure, come on over, I'm here and I'll let you in." Not going to get that at Home Depot or Lowes! Nor will you get the customer service each and every time I go there. Everyone is pleasant and eager to help you find what you are looking for! I’ve used this store for the last 6 years now, and they’ve always been very helpful. However, yesterday I went in to pick up a few things. I had just picked up my toddler from school, and he was with me. I was picking up some mounting hardware when my boy lets me know he needs to go potty. I ask if there’s a bathroom and I’m lied to no. So I hurry and get my articles and head to the register. I tell the registrar that my boy needs to use the restroom and she does try to help, but her superiors refuse, telling me to go to Subway. Needless to say, it didn’t work out. It’s sad cause I try to use the small guy over the big guy as most as I can. But this lack of attention to the customer is unacceptable. I understand if there’s a policy of no public restrooms, but this is a toddler we’re talking about. When you’re up against the big dogs, service makes the difference, and this experience will make me think twice about using this store again.

I am a frequent patron of this store. The customer service is always stellar and beyond compare. However, today, a customer service representative went above and beyond. Jermaine asked me if I would like assistance and everything went smoothly from that moment on. I did not have to think at all; Jermaine did it for me. He swiftly and efficiently found everything I needed and got me out of the store within 20 minutes. I always have a pleasant shopping experience when I go to Cape Ace but today was definitely exceptional.

Great spot for the local community and definitely a necessity due to the distance of another hardware store. I believe most of the staff lives in the neighborhood which adds to the charm. It doesn't always have everything; however it does carry items to fit most Cape homes. Glad it's here!

The people make the store. Without the endless lessons and advice from the staff I wouldn't have been able to renovate my bathroom, fix my washer, build a walk-in or any of the 100's of small fixes I have required over the years. They have a huge help desk but they don't even need it b/c the employees are all over the place helping at every turn. My house says Thanks!

I recently moved here from Annapolis city. The reason I moved here to the outskirts because I could not stand the congestion, and behavior of Annapolis city. Today I walked in to buy a gutter drain extension and I was very pleased with the staff. Everyone asked if I needed help(no joke literally everyone) I'm so glad I moved into such a friendly community! Great job guys for making my first retail experience here a great on!!!

Cape Ace is a great asset for the community. You walk in and are immediately greeted by 2-3 employees, asking how they can assist you. Try getting that kind of service at Home Depot or Lowes. While the prices might be a bit higher than the competitors, the level of convenience for the community on top of the level of customer service definitely make up for it.

I've come in here on many occasions, usually for something that I need in a pinch since it's the closest hardware store to me. Most of the time when I walk in the door, someone at the front counter will ask if I need help finding anything. The only times they haven't asked is when they're slammed with ringing out customers. When I tell them what I'm looking for, not only do they tell me where I can find it, but they'll also call another associate to the same aisle to assist me.The staff there really know their stuff too. There have been a couple times where I've posed kind of an oddball situation to them and whoever was helping me at the time has always been able to come up with some solution.Keep up the great work, Cape Ace!

I end up here a lot when my dad needs things mid-project and dosent have time to drive out to a big hardware store or order online. They almost always have what he needs, and you are never there for more than a few minutes before someone asks if they can help you. Always greeted when you first walk in to. I have been to a few of the womens nights and they are fun. I appreciate that they sell diet tea in the drink cooler as most stores dont carry that. Im not supposed to have sugar or carbonation, so it is nice having an option besides water to drink. My dad always gets the licorice they sell here too as its very strong. They have a large selection of non-tool things such as toys, kitchen gadgets, maryland pride, decor, soaps/lotions, garden items and gifts.

It's not always the least expensive but you can't beat them for convenience and friendly and helpful service. Plus they are a locally owned small business. I'll go there before HD or Lws every time!
