There are NO Giant Food stores. I forgot about them when I used to live in MD. To me, all food stores are about the same. Some prices are a penny or two different I feel. But, the bottom line is about the same too high! 🤑. I all ways walk thur the PRODUCE department. That is my favorite department , because I loved working in it doing high school years. Used to be my go-to store. I am now forced to buy the reuse-able bags or pay per/bag for brown paper bags at each visit. No more plastic bags at checkout. Time to find another store.

Ive shopped at this Giant location since moving to Accokeek in 2005. I particularly like the deli and seafood counter. The quality of the items ive purchased has always been top notch. I recently purchased catfish fillets to have for dinner the day after Thanksgiving. The fish was almost rotten and smelled horrendous! Closer attention must be given to food being sold to customers especially with the cost being so high. I couldn't find my receipt so I just threw it away. Please do better!

Generally always clean and well stocked. The prices are definitely on the rise. Ground beef can easily be upwards of 6 bucks a pound. Seafood has climbed significantly. The deli is the best value here when you combine quality and price. The fried and BBQ chicken are Amazing! Be sure to remember your two sides for the best meal deal.

I had a terrible experience while shopping at this store. The front end supervisor, Donna is extremely unprofessional. She raised her voice at my husband over a pricing discrepancy and belittled him by saying he needs to learn how to read among other insults. I filed several corporate complaints with no follow up. They do not care about the service provided to customers so they don't need our business. There are a few markets to choose from in this area. I would recommend you shop somewhere else. Oh and Donna is very loud and proud of the fact that they NEED her so I can file all the complaints I want.

4th of July🎇🎆sales were insane. Loaded up on T-bone steaks, pork loin, BBQ sauces, cherries🍒, watermelon🍉, pineapple🍍& corn🌽 on the cob. But my favorite of all was the sale on snow crab🦀 legs. Got myself 10 lbs. Take about good eats. 😁 Update: went back for the additional 3 days of sales after the 4th. This Giant kept everything pretty well stocked. 👍👏

I am leaving this review to hopefully prevent any future miscommunication from happening and to let giant and the baker know that the cake tasted amazing and I do thank the baker for her hard work and attempt to work with what she had. Apparently due to the size I ordered, they could not print the picture to fit the entire cake. As a result, the baker created her own design, which don't get me wrong, is still a pretty cake. Its just not what I ordered. I recommend getting clarification on what can and can't be done for the cake you are getting. Giant I appreciate how you remedied this situation and I will order again. I hope this helps prevent future misunderstandings.

A few weeks ago I was shopping for dinner. At self checkout one of the coupons didn't work. So someone called Donna who at the time was the frontend supervisor. She came back from checking the price and said the price was correct. I begged to differ. So we both went to the aisle and she tried to tell me that the price over top of the items was the correct price. She then proceeds to scream at me telling that she's going to give me the price but I was wrong. At this point I was livid. She goes back to self checkout and started to berate me in front of other customers. Then she yelled "you need to learn how to read." At this point i was livid, so much so that two other customers had to intervene because they thought that she was baiting me into a confrontation so she can call the police.The next day I went back to the store and spoke with the store manager at the time named Jarrett. After speaking with him, he assured me that he will take care of it.A few weeks later when I went into the store, I saw that Jarrett was no longer there and I overheard Donna telling another one of her colleagues that they can't get rid of her because they need her. And I can't help but to think she said that purposely to taunt me. So I called back and spoke with the new manager who name is John. John was very rude, condescending and quite uninterested in hearing my complaint.I called corporate to make a complaint and I requested a call from the district and regional manager, because my initial complaint should have went to upper management and it didn't. As of yet, no one from Giant called me back.So far this year we have spent thousands of dollars in Giant due to our large household. It is quite apparent that Giant cares more about protecting their disrespectful employees rather than making sure customers are treated with dignity and respect.The new manager John cares very little about the community he works in and it seems he'll be very dismissive when customers have valid concerns and complaints.We have been Giant customers for over 20 years and I have never been more disrespected. So moving forward I will no longer be Giant Food customer. There are so many other supermarkets that would appreciate my hard earned money. With the holidays coming up, I am pretty sure Shoppers or Safeway would love to have my family as customers. And I am pretty sure that I will be treated with dignity and respect.Luckily I am educated, but what if I wasn't? What if I had a learning disability, poor vision, language barrier, or suffered from dyslexia? Telling a customer that they need to learn how to read with absolutely no consequences is absolutely appalling. That could be discrimination according to the American Disability Act.A former disgusted Giant customer...PS. I am still interested in talking to the regional and distract managers because I still want my complaint formally documented and acknowledged by management.

This is my neighborhood store, but not the best store either! The reason, they judge the customers. I went to return a item that my daughter did not use, and I had my receipt too, and a lady that works at the customers service name Carol afepress acted and said something that made me nitbshop there anymore

The woman who works behind the service desk is rude. Went shopping here and stepped away from my very full cart to get a few items. When I returned, my cart was missing. I assumed the service desk might have it for some reason and I was correct. However, my cart then had extra items that weren’t mine in it and some of the hot items I had were gone. I said to the woman behind the service desk that she had my cart and explained I simply walked away to get a few extra items. She didn’t give me eye contact. I repeated myself and explained my story a bit better and she looked at me and said “ok?” as if she didn’t understand what she had done to inconvenience me. I understand some shoppers might abandon their carts, but I didn’t appreciate her attitude towards me especially since it was her mistake. I took out the items she added to my cart (at this point she turned her head away from me again and wouldn’t give me eye contact), left them in front of her and carted away. Very rude.

Produce section limited. I've asked for certain produce for my birds but they haven't accommodated my request.Lol, just asked me if anything changed. As a matter of fact it has, I picked up 2 items that we're on sale and went thru self checkout. After I scanned my rewards card, price of the items stayed regular price. When I showed the employee, he said he couldn't do anything about it except void the items if I didn't want to pay. I just shook my head and walked out.Store is clean.Nothing new.They close at 10 o'clock now.

The experience here is always wonderful. The staff is always helpful and very courteous. The store stays stocked with all of the great items I love and that cant be beat. I stopped shopping at the Safeway in the neighborhood because they are always out of everything and its so frustrating. I would recommend this Giant store to any who ask! I don't mind the 15 minute drive from the house. Its well worth it. Every time!

This grocery store is always clean, very well organized and the seafood dept has GREAT lobster tail and crab legs!!!! The friendliness of the staff in general is okay, I don't notice much interaction when I'm there. And the cashiers seem to be in their own world waiting to get off the clock.

OK.. So since my last visit and review, I have to say that I was hesitant to return.. We went because we were right next door. I have to say, seemed to be a turn around.. We walked through and did some light shopping even stopping by the seafood department.. What a change.The store seems to have a different feel to it. Almost every one there seemed to be happy. I mean EVERYONE. I think that it may be time to give it another go. I'll see what happens.

I was very pleased to see a clean and organized store. My visit was to purchase some clusters of crab legs. The clerks were very friendly and sociable. However, I ordered the legs and asked to have them steamed while I made a run to the restroom. When I returned, they were cooked and bagged to be purchased. As I was riding home, I just couldn't understand why they smelled like bbq. Well once home and opened up the bag I found that the legs were burnt .. overcooked and tasteless...very disappointed that my nice visit was destroyed....Unfortunately I don't live nearby to want to bring them back for full refund. So they were tossed to never buy again from there. Too bad. To make this right would be appreciated. Veedeals4u@gmail.com

This is my Giant so of course I love it! I go there least three times a week and usually really late at night just before closing and not once has an employee ever complained about my being in there at closing. They're always as friendly & as nice has can be & the store is always clean.

Always clean. Organized. Wide selection of merchandise. I love that they offer an expanded variety of baby foods because I'm not feeling the big brands right now (i.e. Gerber, Beech Nut, etc.). They always have registers open which I love because Safeway is set on having two lines open 🙄 idc what location I go to 🤦🏽♀️. Very friendly, helpful staff. I love it. This location as well as the Manokeek location are good

The fruit I purchased was fresh and the store appeared clean and well organized. Even though we went at night, there weren't a bunch of palettes in the middle of the aisles from restocking products and from what I saw, the shelves were neat. They also had the items that I was looking for.

I saw a guy in the store removed all of the chips in the bag and he put all of his bag of shrimp and steaks in the bag of chips which only cost $7 I think the store need a good surveillance for their customers. Its unfair to the other good customers that pay their stuff in the right price and those bad customers are trying to ruin the store's good reputation. I know I should've mind my own business but I am being fair to the others, because its not the right thing. So I am telling the Giant owners to make sure that customers are paying the right stuff.

From here on out I will be using the bakery department for my future services for my desserts and cakes. The staff is professional, helpful and not once I felt rush when I was placing my order for a birthday cake. Thanks again for being so professional because you do not get that a lot these days.

One of the best grocery stores in the area, except...You can always find help when you need it. The store is always clean & well stocked. Usually enough cash registers opened & if not they will usually open more to minimize your wait time. My only complaint is the number of times I've been double charged. In other words, I get one item, then get home & check my receipt only to find double charges...that product rung up twice. Ugghhhhh! It's so frustrating. When time permits, I check my receipt before leaving, but time & traffic dont always permit. Ideally it would be nice to check as items are scanned. However, it you shop alone, you can't possibly load the groceries on the belt & watch the screen as items are scanned. I have been double charged 4 times in 5 months. It might not seem like much, but it certainly adds up in both time & money. Again, so frustrating. If you shop at this location, be sure to check your receipts CAREFULLY...

All the items right where I wanted them. Meat department needs to go back to cutting own meat. Horrible and black steaks sitting out. If I wanted steaks in a bag I would have ordered online. Sad.

Besides seafood. The rest of the store is 💯 that's including staff being knowledgeable on product. Friendly. And having great customer service.The multiple issues I have with seafood is there fish!!!They have fish that sits in the case thats brown, they have fish that they're selling and by time you get home to unwrap it, it smells very bad; you got certain staff behind the case who are not knowledgeable and think that it's suppose to be Brown or suppose to have a bad smell because it's fish. I've been returning seafood back at that location for the last 6 months.I don't know if it's the mask that the staff is wearing to the point where they can't smell it but I'm done I'm getting my fish elsewhere. 👍🏾🤢😷

My review is use of their app and delivery, Their delivery is 5 stars, cans are rarely dented, quantity is always correct, they are always on time and have low delivery fees, they have their own delivery truck, giant food is hands down the best at delivery and service.
