Let me just say that I never felt so disrespected in my life. I had surgery on Friday, May 3rd. Long story short the medicine that my doctor prescribed to me was not working ( I was in extreme pain). I spoke with my doctor and he sent a different prescription. The Pharmacy that my doctor sent my prescription to did not have it. I called around and found “Accokeek Drug and Health Care Inc”. I asked my doctor to send the prescription to them. I did not realized that they were closed Sunday. On Monday morning (May 6th) my father called to check the status on my prescription (NOTE: He was going to pick it up for me because I can’t drive due to my surgery). The pharmacist said I would have to wait until May 9th for him to fill the prescription. I called my health insurance company because I thought that may have been the issue. The insurance company called the pharmacy and patch me in with the pharmacist. The pharmacist (I believe his name was Mark or Mike) said he was not comfortable filling my prescription because he noticed that I had a prescription filled on Friday. I advised him that I did and the medicine was not working; that’s why the doctor prescribed something else. He then asked “where is that medicine at” and I told him I have it here with me at home. The pharmacist said in order to fill the new prescription. I will need to bring him my old prescription (the medicine) NOTE: I did not purchase this prescription from this pharmacy. I was puzzled. I felt as though he was trying to say I’m addicted or misusing my prescription. I have NEVER use drugs. I have never felt so insulted and disrespected my entire life. Luckily my doctor was able to send it to a reliable pharmacy. It is very dangerous when the pharmacist wants to play doctor. I will never send my prescriptions or refer this pharmacy to anyone!If you’re looking for a reliable pharmacy check out “My Express Care Pharmacy”. They are extremely helpful and professional.

Great to have such a wonderful local drugstore right around the corner! Much better than going to CVS, Walgreens, etc. There is never a line, and they get to know their customers.

I’m a hospice admissions nurse that serves Prince George and Charles County. Often I’m in desperate need of comfort medications to get my patients comfortable ASAP & they can be hard to find. This pharmacy is always a go-to for me. The staff is so friendly, they’re quick to fill meds, and the pharmacy always has comfort medications in stock. I recommend this pharmacy all the time!

The pharmacy physical slapped my daughter across her face, after harassing her for months. He is 5'11 and she is 4'10. His bullying and humiliation forced her to quit. Even store manager took his side. When will women be allowd to work in peace without being buillied??? NOT HERE! NOT EVER!

SIMPLY THE BEST !I have been going to Accokeek Drug since 2001. Joe the owner believes in caring for the Customer first. They will do everything they can to get Your medication , for You.The chains stores have no flexibility in ordering. Was at a local chain store recently and my medicine was out of stock. They told me it would be in next week, and they would not hold any for me. It is first come first served. I would run out before it came in. How can they stay in business ? (forgot about insurance companies who force you into using there store's )Accokeek Drug will go out of there way for You. It feels good to walk in and be greeted by your name. Joe and his crew will always take care of you.Note: to rental customerSounds like you did not read Your receipt. You did not notice the amount deference of $200, $150 and $350 in your bank account/charge?

I always have mind n my Old Ladys Scripts to this Pharmacy and its normally always fast n easy as long as they have everything [which they normally do for both of us too] !!!!!The issue I've ever had with them is that they barely, rarely Call U back when things are Ready for Pick Up!!!! Soo, I just wish they would Call U when something is Ready for Pick Ups whenever the Doctors DO Call Prescriptions in and/or for Example sometimes when people can't pick them Up til whatever Date, they should Start Calling People when they're Ready for Pick Up or something.Otherwise it's a Great, Friendly, Awesome Staff, Always Has What We Need, and they do offer the Covid 19 Shots n Vaccine along wit Flu Shots, and Shingles Shots Too as well as A Large Variety Of ALLL other types of Medicine, Equipment, that Pharmacys are Is supposed to have in their stores at all times!!!!!!!10 Starz for Accokeek Pharmacy!!!!!

I called and asked if they had my medication they said yes went all the way up there refused to fill it cause my insurance. Claiming they could not bill them. Did not even try to run it through just took one look at my card and said he could not fill it. I have never had this happen anywhere else. I have never even heard of that and my ex used to have the same ins. And got his filled there. Make sure you specify what ins. You have or you are in danger of being denied for reasons that make no sense and are unheard of

I recently moved back to MD and I have experienced a good amount of hassle to get my monthly prescription filled. I tried all the big name pharmacies, all the same outcome. For the last two months I would drive back to Virginia where I know I could get my prescription filled. I avoided "Mom & Pop" pharmacies believing that they couldn't compete with the big name places and generally I was correct until I decided to check out Accokeek Pharmacy - not only did they prove me wrong, they also gained a customer for as long as I am in this area.

Accokeek Drug & Health Care is like a step in to the past when customer service mattered they really bend over backwards for their customers you are not just a number to these folks they are very professional but friendly at the same time. I would without a doubt recommend using them over the big box chain drugs stores. They truly are the best!

I've been coming to this Pharmacy for many many years now and they're a great, family runned opreation/business!!! I've also referred several of my friends n family members to go to Accokeek Drug n Health Care to fill or refill there Scripts too, and will continue passing there info around to many more people too!!! 5 Stars which should be 10 Stars instead !!!!But, I've only had 1 or 2 times the were bad experiences and that was over a year ago when my old ladys Scripts didn't have the correct number of pills in it but sense then they have let go a couple of employees and we haven't had any problems sense.Keep up all the great work yall do and we'll see ya soon too!!!😁😁😁😉😉🤪

By far the best pharmacy in the entire area. Go there every month and this morning. Literally took 5 minutes from walking in to walking out to get my rx filled. Friendly staff and very down to earth. They go above and beyond to help as well.

Don't come here if you want one of the pharmacists to put your business out there for the whole store to hear. They'll deny you service if you have a prescription of painkillers because they'll treat you like an addict instead of a patient.

This place used to be great, but it’s really gone down the hole . Not sure who they’ve hired recently, but they are really unprofessional, insulting my doctor, tell me they can’t fill the prescription because of the handwriting, asking me what school did he go to, to write my prescription like that, I thought he was joking but he kept going on and on .. like just give me the prescription back and I’ll get it filled somewhere else ..
