They care about you and your pets!! They have the practice of having drop off appointments when they don't have actual appointment openings.. they'll look at your pet in-between their appointments!! Ingenious in my opinion!!! Then they'll call with their findings and the options..I really liked them!!

They always help me with my animals, and they have for years. They service exotics amazingly. Dr. Quinn knows how to be a people person and is super helpful whenever I'm having a rough day, he will even offer to chat for a second about what's up. Thank you so much, with love, from Robin and Donut 🦎 🐍

Amazing veterinary clinic. Especially as an exotic pet owner, there is nothing in the area for your babies needs unless you want to pay $800 at an urgent care in Portland. When my gerbil unexpectedly got sick and ended up with a huge mass on his stomach they got him in same day anytime I called and were so caring towards him, they took my concerns and his illness seriously. They really made us feel like they cared about him. His surgery was only $400 to nurse him back to health. Thank you Yarmouth Veterinary for giving my baby a second chance at life! I highly recommend them for all of your pets veterinary needs!

I'm very thankful for everyone here! My parrot's usual vet is on leave and after an emergency call to Yarmouth Veterinary Center, they were able to see her the same day through their drop-off services. The prices and care were all very reasonable and I didn't feel like I was being upsold or misled at all. All of the staff I spoke to were very kind and understanding and my parrot received great care (and is on the mend)!

The pet parent experience at Yarmouth Veterinary Center is the best around. The exotics vet who cares for my guinea pigs is Dr. Quinn, and he is superb. Communicative andvery knowledgeable, he is focused on educating owners on how to best help their animals. he works to orient treatment plans to focus on quality of life is has been a huge source of comfort to me through good items and bad. As a guinea pig owner, I am sad to say it can be a long search for a vet who treats pocket pets as attentively as they need. This is an office you can rely on to fight for your beloved pet alongside them, and be invested in their well-being, I am so grateful to them. They are also available for scheduled drop offs, which is such a great system to keep able to see as many patients as possible. If you have pocket pets, or any pets, this is the place I'd recommend over any competition in the area. My thanks to all of them for being excellent to guinea pigs, especially thank you to Dr. Quinn!!

I took my ferret, Stella, here today for emergency care after finding her unresponsive. They fit us in despite being obviously very busy today. The girl at reception was a trainee and did a wonderful job, even in such a shocking and difficult situation. The vet that saw us (I wish I could remember his name) was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and helpful. He took the time to explain everything and answer any questions we had. Unfortunately, Stella had to be euthanized. They made the whole process very easy for us and showed a lot of compassion while doing it. Even the woman who checked us out was incredibly kind. I cannot thank the staff here enough for the support and compassion they gave us in such a difficult time. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who owns ferrets.

Dr. Miller cared for our 17 year old dog until it was time for him to pass on. The whole office was fantastic. We now have a new rescue dog who had an issue last night - the office was great when we called and Dr Miller saw him right away this morning. They are a great team!

Best vet I've ever encountered by FAR! If caring, compassionate care is what you're looking for, for your fur baby, this is the place!!! If you're looking for a bit of relief in the wallet department, this is also your place! Reasonable pricing far less expensive than others, you can really tell they're all there for the love of the animals, not price gouging, trying to be rich. YVC Molly and I LOVE YOU! Thank you for all you do!!!

After having issues with our bearded dragon, we were recommended to see the Vets at YVC. There was a thorough examination by a veterinarian who had extensive knowledge of dragons and their care/problems. Treatment was discussed in detail with us before anything was done and results were clearly demonstrated. It was clear that they knew what they were doing. I am confident our dragon got the best care we could find here. The cost was very reasonable given the amount of care our dragon received and I never felt like I was being upsold for anything. The vet made themselves available and actually encouraged follow up questions. Its a good place to get great care for your animal.

Came in on Tuesday to diagnose some issues with my Guinea pig, Willard, not eating as well as he usually is. They diagnosed the problem within a few hours and got the recommended dental surgery the very next day. All of the staff were super friendly, giving me cool places around Yarmouth to get a bite and hike. Brian behind the front desk was helpful and everyone including Dr. Smith seemed very caring and took great care of little Willard!

My regular vet couldn’t take care of my dog when she hurt her leg. And I wound up coming to Yarmouth. I can’t say enough good about this clinic. They can take care of your problems right there. They are kind, considerate and exceptionally pleasant. I feel like my dog is cared for and appreciated. I will be bringing her there from now on. The drive for me is worth it to know that my little girl is getting good care.

Thor has had breathing issues for pretty much his whole life due to his nose being squished in because of his breed. I called many vets and none of them preformed nostril surgery. Finally found Yarmouth Vet Center! Thor had his surgery done but unfortunately the tissue around his nostrils just collapsed making it seem like he had nothing done to them. Dr. Peter did the surgery again taking out as much tissue as he could and thankfully it worked this time! Thor is now able to breathe normally for the first time in his life. Thank you so much Dr.Peter for helping Thor, I’m sure if he could Thor would thank you as well! Everyone who I’ve had to deal with at Yarmouth Vet was very helpful and nice. I will be bringing my animals to you guys from now on.

offered half off exam for rat for a smaller issue but would not help me financially on a much larger one. was told “we’re not a charity” by the facility manager, rather than connecting with me on my rat’s penile prolapse, a concern which can result in death. regardless of if they could or couldn’t help me with the cost, that was just a terrible customer service experience, not a kind thing to say, very upsetting. the main issue was completely forgotten in the fight over money. i wish i had as good of an experience here as others have.update: not allowed to come back, presumably because of how upset i was. it’s just hard when you have $200 to your name and the exam fee is $95. hoping to find someone else who can understand that and help me with my pet, but the health care system is just flawed in all directions. i see they’ve been great to others, just not to me.this is my rat eddie. i hope i can find the help he needs elsewhere.update 2: eddie unfortunately passed away on December 18th, after the windstorm. i was unable to get him in to another vet before then. the power was out and there was no heat, but honestly it took very little to claim his life; it was only 63° in the house the first day out but that was too cold for him. he had lice as well, so perhaps it was anemia, or stress, or any combination of things. he didn’t have a great constitution, and is in a more peaceful place now. thanks to anyone reading who cares. rip eddie 12-18-2023

I love Yarmouth Vet Center and all the staff and doctors I met are amazing. I needed an international travel certificate and the professionalism they showed me in getting everything done in time was out of this world. I got several calls and emails from them helping me through this difficult task. I have done this in other places 6 times before and this was the easiest and best experience I have ever had. Everyone was really helpful. Thanks so much

Please know how much I appreciate your care of my little one.Yarmouth Vet doctor (thank you, Dr. Carol!) worked very hard to get my tortie feeling better. They went out of their way to communicate with me, showing compassion and kindness for our fur-baby, even though she's older. On top of their compassion, professionalism, and expertise, the treatments for my kitty were NOT cost-prohibitive, and I KNOW that they have done everything possible to get her back and chasing the laser pointer. 💗

On Monday morning just after YVC opened the vet I was speaking with at MVMC called to assist me in finding a vet that could do an emergency pyometra spay & YVC was the only vet out of about 20-25 that squeezed my Abbi into their already busy schedule and saved her life. Had they not gone above & beyond by fitting us in and for a much more reasonable price, I would have lost my Princess. All the staff were friendly, accommodating, professional & so kind. The Dr thoroughly explained how surgery went, what to do during recovery and healing & any signs to watch for that would warrant a return visit or concern. The Tech who cared for & brought Abbi out to me was so gentle & loving to her & loved on her lots before saying goodbye. They even gave her rabies vaccine and trimmed her nails for us! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this facility. I will never go anywhere with my pets, YVC has found themselves several new lifelong patients! Thank you Dr. Smith and all of the wonderful staff, because of you our Abbi is home with us again, on the road to recovery & will continue to live a long, happy & healthy life!! Abbi is doing great & so happy to be back home!

Our baby is 33 years old and has never been ill. When he woke up with one eye shut tight ON A SUNDAY, we could not find an avian vet available north of Boston. Monday morning we called and were told to bring him down. They were very busy but guaranteed they would see him. The doctor called within an hour and Peaches was there another 3 hours getting bloodwork and being evaluated. And TODAY (Thursday) they called to see how he was doing (he is recovering nicely). They are wonderful, friendly and caring. I am so happy we found them.

This is the first vet that called after our appointment when there was a medical issue to follow up about the animal. Their lobby is really nice too!

Great place to take your pet. I have ferrets and I had to take them to vets that mostly did exotics because I have been to many other regular vets around the country and they couldn't help at all while they pretended they could in the first place causing me to waste thousands. This place is great and they have been superb and concise with their diagnosis and thoughts.

Took our hairless guinea pig in for his first check up. We've had him a couple of months. Place was clean, staff was nice & we got good information on best ways to care for our new pet. We're happy to have found a vet who can help us with our guinea pig, not many vets in our area work with them & the ones who do weren't taking new customers. Thank you, we appreciate the help & answering all our questions!

Great Place!! Very accommodating with my exotic pet. Bringing a 120-pound tortoise to the vet isn't like putting Fido on a leash and heading out. These guys made the experience a breeze. They set us up to come in a different entrance to accommodate the cart we use to move him. The Dr. that examined him definitely had experience with exotics, my tortoise was calm throughout the exam. Thier scales are built into the exam table. Anyone that regularly weighs a pet at the vet will appreciate this. And, the charge was actually less than I was expecting. I seriously recommend these guys for reptiles.

My pet ball python of 14 years needed to be seen asap but they didn't have any appointments. They said I could drop him off and they would look at him in between appointments. I asked if I could be there and I was told no they couldn't allow that. Right off the bat I thought this was strange and I was hesitant to do this but having no other option I did what was suggested. When I came to pick him up, I was given medication at told that if he had anything that would cure it. I agreed, went home gave him the round of medication that was prescribed, used everything that I was given. The next time he would have been due for another dose if we had anymore, he was so much worse, night and day worse. I called back trying to make another appointment and was told that he wouldn't be able to be seen for another 3 weeks, and was told again that I could do another drop off. Which again I didn't feel comfortable with, I said I want to be there and I need an appointment sooner. I also had to call multiple times asking if there was anything I could do at home to help him and to make him more comfortable, those questions were never answered even after calling 5+ times. I was told he needs another round of medication that, that medication he was on needs another round, I was not told this was a possibility when he was originally seen.I got one but was given a prescription for a different medicine which was fine, anything, as long as it would help my pet. I gave him one dose and he passed the same night. I called to cancel the appointment since it was no longer needed, I was asked if he was getting better I explained that no he wasn't, he had passed away was respond to oh ok bye. Couldn't believe I was met with someone that didn't care as if it was no bother. I seriously received more sympathy from a petco website then I did with this vets office. My only hope is that whatever medication may have been in his system relieved his passing. If you have speciality animals in need of help asap, seek help somewhere else. Care can not be guaranteed with their "drop off appointment."

So far so good. Yarmouth Vet was willing to get a neonatal kitten in for an upper respiratory infection. Yes she had to be there from about 9:30 am until almost 4:00 pm and I was anxious to pick her up so she could nurse again. I have found alot of vets won't see neonatal kittens because they don't know if the kitten will actually survive. Pumpkin has perked up completely. She's even inhaling her food, she's been that hungry. I have to take her bowl every so often so she slows down. Hoping all future appointments, and there will be lots of them go just as smooth.

If you're looking for a clean, reliable, and personable veterinary clinic that has expertise in many different domestic and exotic pets then this is the place for you! We have always had the best experience there with our three dogs, tortoise, macaw, and bearded dragon. They have always taken my animals in last minute, and even checked them out after hours before. The front end staff is super friendly as well.

Just moved to the area and was worried about finding an Exotics Specialist familiar with sugar gliders. Coming from east Tennessee where E.S. are in abundance and having UT Veterinary accessible 24/7, our very first visit to Yarmouth was a huge sigh of relief. It was very evident that Dr. Zach was very competent in his knowledge of gliders but observing him during a wellness exam, it was also very obvious that he was adept at carefully handling gliders properly and has had plenty of experience with the species. The entire staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome as if we had been long time clients/patients. We also brought one of our cats in for a wellness exam as well and Dr Zach handled her by himself with no issues from our usually fussy senior girl. Just from one visit in a new area, I can't recommend Yarmouth Veterinary Center enough. I have every confidence that every pet would be in the best of care from each Dr there as well as the staff.

An amazing experience. I arrived a few minutes early and was immediately checked in by a friendly and professional associate, who answered any questions and explained the process. They interacted with my pet, and made sure we knew where to wait. The waiting room was spacious and clean, I only had to wait a couple minutes before being seen. The vet, Dr. Miller was awesome, she made sure I understood everything she was saying, asked me questions and cared about my opinion while also expressing what she thought was best. She was great with the patient and clearly has a lot of expertise in the field. We will definitely be back!
