This is a great roadside ice cream location! It's built in a railroad car. The staff was very friendly and thanked us for visiting. The ice cream was fantastic! There was a large selection of flavors. My kids love the farm animals too! What's not to love about a place like this? I highly recommend this ice cream shop! We'll be coming back very soon.

The ice cream is so, so good! It has a really lovely creamy texture and is a softer ice cream than a lot of "hard" ice cream varieties. They have your classic flavors, like mint chocolate chip and cookie dough, but also offer more unique flavors (maple walnut) and weekly specials! If you go on a weekend, check out their Walnut Hill caboose location and take time to see the cows, goats, and chickens while you enjoy your ice cream. This ice cream stand is a ton of fun for kids and adults!

Loved the entire experience! Amazing ice cream! I especially enjoyed Charlie cherry and strawberry rhubarb. $8 for a banana split… great deal! Nice staff. Great animals… especially strawberry the pig that comes when you call her. Great play to eat ice cream at a picnic table and watch the sunset.

It's nice. I really enjoyed visiting with the animals. I wouldn't say their ice-cream is the best I've ever had, but they have unique flavors. We went on opening day. Had about 10 customers in front of us so we waited for 30 minutes to get our milk shakes. Would I recommend anyone to go out of their way to visit? Probably not.. Sorry. But if nearby, definitely worth giving it a try. I loved visiting with the animals more than the ice-cream.

We were renting at an Airbnb in Grey and I was desperately seeking a special cake to be made in short notice. Olivia answered our cries for help. 😁She made the most delicious custom cake for us. (Half angel food and half yellow cake.) We told her what we were kind of looking for and she gave us ideas and we told her to surprise us! Surprise us she did because the cake was beautiful and the birthday girl loved it! I highly recommend Olivia for your cake baking needs!

Delicious ice cream stop at an beautiful farm with goats, horses, chickens, pigs and cows! Offers a wide range of delicious ice cream flavors (Mexican Chocolate S'more! Whoopie Cow Pie! Snickah! and of course Blueberry). Really great stop for kids, just off the typical tourist path!

If you are looking for a family farm experience, then Toot’s, with its cows out front, is the ice creamery for you. Housed in a full-sized caboose, decisions at Toot’s may come slowly given the wide variety of unique flavors available (like Caramel Cashew, Hazelnut Chip, and Grandma’s Peanut Butter Fudge just to name a few!). One of the greatest strengths of this shop is their ability to provide perfect portions to patrons of all sizes: the 70-cent baby/sample cup in particular is perfect for either satisfying small stomachs or a desire to sample a little bit of everything.

Great ice cream at low prices and a lovely farm in which to stroll about while you eat. The baby goats were my favorite!

We live in Colorado, and went to Maine to visit some family. They told us about the great ice cream Toots was, so we went with the entire family, all 15 of us. Everyone enjoyed the flavors we picked. Great selection, great flavors and great staff!

We just got custom cupcakes for our son’s birthday and they are phenomenal! I asked for chocolate with a space theme and I was just blown away by how beautiful these are! Plus the cake is moist and light as air and they use real buttercream! 5 stars isn’t enough!!

It was oddly quiet in there, they could really use some background music or something to liven it up. The ice cream was sub par, just like ice cream that you’d get somewhere else that isn’t homemade. Not gonna lie, likely won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend.

Great ice cream. Okay staff. Terrible internet presence. Website and Google listings provide totally different hours. Just walked 1.25 miles to find out they're closed even though their website and the flag out front both said they were open.

Best ice cream ever. Everything is homemade and perfect. Cost to quality has to be the best also.

Toots Ice Cream is no ordinary shop.. it's handmade on the premise with all natural ingredients. The setting is an old train Caboose right on a working farm. This place is awesome for all ages and is a great place to hang out with all of the barnyard animals, from cows to steers, to pigs and goats, to chicken, bunnies and turkey's (oh my).Word to the wise...its a working farm, and when it gets warmer out, the farm odors are quite effervescent (if you catch my drift.. pun intended). A wonderful place to enjoy locally made ice cream and the extra bonus is, the working farm to explore without an admission fee!

Love this place... along a quiet road, actually a working farm, not just an ice cream stand. Friendly folks, and GREAT ice cream! One of my favorite places, and kind of cool too - stand is in an old caboose. Dang... no pic. Dog-friendly too.

This is a really great place to bring the kids and have ice cream. After you get your ice cream you can walk around and see all of the different animals that they have there on the farm. Even though the portions are large they tend to be a little on the pricey side. However, we have been there several times and plan to go back in the future. They have a really great mix of various flavors of ice cream. I don't think that I've ever had the same ice cream twice because they have such appealing flavors and you just have to try the next one.If this review helped, please hit 'Like'. Thanks.

Ice cream is good, service is friendly and fast. But the pricing is a bit steep. I got one scoop in a bowl and my girlfriend got a one scoop sorbet Sunday and it was $7.50, I think $5 would have been reasonable for what we got. All in all it was good.

The store is actually an old railroad car converted to a walk up window. There are several places outside to sit and enjoy your treat. The ice cream is great, made from fresh local ingredients. They offer a wide variety of flavors. You can also walk around the farmyard and enjoy the animals up close - great for the kids.

Came from Boston for the weekend and experienced Toots for the first time. Meghan, who was working the counter greeted us with a smile and a welcoming hello. She suggested the tangerine sorbet for me since I have a lactose intolerance. The generous portion she gave me was delicious! My friend got the Pig Pen ice cream. And Meghan suggested that the hot fudge goes with both of our choices wonderfully. I will be back again!

I often go to this family run local ice cream parlor, because of its excellent quality of ice cream and exciting atmosphere. The shop is inside of an old train caboose car, and is located on the farm the ingredients are sourced from. You can go look at the animals they have at the time, and enjoy your ice cream in the nice gazebo they have as well.
