Hannaford's to go has switched to half size paper bags. I have no use for these where I could use the full-size for all sorts of things.I really dislike this change. I hope they’re not charging my the same price for these awful bags

Almost constantly busy, only ever 2-3 registers open for a supermarket that serves a very large area. Lines always, often big enough to block traffic of those who are still shopping. Also, don't go there for groceries after 4pm, shelves are bare. Simply put, they could do better. If it wasn't 1 minute away I'd likely shop elsewhere. It's clean and the staff is nice. Needs better management. Don't get me started on the pharmacy.

While traveling, Mom needed emergency refill of an inhaler. The pharmacy team was fas, efficient, helpful and kind. Sarah and Jenna provided customer service above and beyond expectations. What a magnificent team of professionals!

DON'T USE THE DELIVERY OPTION. The groceries are shopped by Hannaford employees and delivered by Instacart. They should leave the whole thing to Instacart. The substitutions are inappropriate. They substitute white bread with Italian bread. There were no loaves of white to substitute? I ordered a bunch of vine tomatoes and got a single tomato. It's clear they put very little effort into it. Unlike most shopping services, you can't select alternative products. Zero communication during the actual shopping makes that worse. Unless you're happy with getting a pathetic stab at your list, go elsewhere.

I lived there in the early 2000 I wanna say 04 or 05 and worked there and loved it and met great ppl. I worked in the deli with Beth Kool at the time now married to Eric that works for the company. I have to say though Hannaford is a runned really well and nicely staffed

Nice Super Market and in Yarmouth they have a large attached Liquor Store. I like Hannaford better than most of their competition. Too bad I have to drive to Brunswick or Yarmouth! I know for the Bow Street Market fans that it's a undercover Hannaford's, but its a "Market".

Been shopping at Yarmouth Hannaford since it was Shop and Save and one end had a auto parts store,all I can say is its not the store it once was,empty shelves and the freezer isle always looks rifled,seems it never recovered from the pandemic,we now shop at Market Basket,its worth the trip,seems like the Yarmouth store is going under

I went shopping here for food. It was everywhere. Shelves were covered with it all through the store. After picking out a selection, I gave someone money and they let me take it home. Mostly good experience except for the presence of other shoppers, who I'm sure were doing their best. Will certainly return for more food here.

Other ppl may have better luck - but the Pharmacy is extremely frustrating: Multiple days to fill, asked to come back in an hour only to be told there is no supply. Etc. Etc. I started tracking how bad it is. In the last year, my prescriptions were filled correctly (giving an extra day) less than 30% of the time. Calling or using the app - no matter. (The app is far worse).

Horrible experience. I felt I had been singled out as I use food stamps for my children, I had lost my card the other day but I had the number and pin. Everything I needed for the week was bagged and ready when the manager of customer serves denied me of putting my number in manually when my friend who lost her card months ago has been putting it in manually. Now I’m sitting here trying to figure out what to do for food because I have no money and my pay check doesn’t come in till next week.

One of the biggest in Maine. They have a great liquor/wine/beer department...like a separate store. This place is huge. It does get busy. This area is pretty wealthy so it carries maybe somethings that you would not see in a hannafords in the sticks. I go in my hunting clothes just to piss peeps off...ha...just kidding.

This Hannaford location used to be one of the best managed in the area. Unfortunately, the pandemic, seemingly constant changeover in store leadership and the recent labor shortage have taken their toll. Shelves are rarely fully stocked, check out lines are long and the overall quality of service is diminished. Still not quite as bad as Shaw's in Freeport but getting closer..!

Great store, this is a very busy store location. Recommend doing Hannaford to Go or visiting on off peak hours, or use hannaford to go.

Great staff nice selection and price. the sushi and the staff who make it do an excellent job. I very much liked the people in yarmouth when i stopped there. Even the guy in the deli who cuts things just like u want..now thats service..

So sick of the labels being put on our deli meat and cheese in such a fashion that you cannot open it without tearing the bag open. Going someplace else to do our grocery shopping.

The rewards set up is not easy for non techie seniors. I was certain I had done everything to be able to get the promotion of spend 60.00 and 7.00would be deducted. Well it didn't happen this morning. Spent76.34.no deduction but the meat mark down ...thus my monthly budget, that s it. The bagger

Yarmouth Hannaford is very excellent, cashier and manager were exceptional. A lot better than the Forest Ave Hannaford. Friendly and helpful people all the way to the meat department. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were carts down back by the meat department. Not something that I would have expected.

They carry Maine-made foods. Good selection of cheeses. They widened the aisles which is a great thing. Their freezers are lit by body heat. Two things I must live with. First, they provide plastic bags. Second, the automated cashiers that replace people.

Decent Hannaford. Prices are similar to Portland area stores. It could use a major renovation to bring it in line with today’s best grocery stores rather than attempting to make modest upgrades every few years.

I usually have loved this location since moving here but today I had got in line with two bottles of wine. I handed over my Illinois license because I have to wait a certain number of weeks until I arrive at the DMV during this pandemic, and I handed over my military ID to justify my age because IL is faked quite often. When my military ID wasn’t enough, the cashier had the nerve to ask me what brought me to Maine in a fake nice voice (a voice I know well having worked many years in CS), and I simply said I moved here because that’s the answer but it seemed like I needed to be elaborate with him? Was very rude. I offered to show my debit and credit cards but he denied, and then further looked my ID in a book. I totally understand that he’s just doing his job, but then he didn’t help me with my bags and said “have a nice day” in a way as if he was talking to a child. Really embarrassing. I’m a grown woman and clinician. If you’re having a bad day, please don’t pass it onto others because I have plenty of stress in my life already and just want a glass of wine in the evening! LoL. My goodness I usually comply but with such a fake demeanor, I felt belittled as if he wanted to be right about my ID being fake.

I recently moved to Yarmouth and have had 2 terrible experiences at the deli counter. When I asked for very thinly sliced meats and cheeses I had to stop the associate because the slices were much thicker then I prefer. Both times each associate told me rudely that that was the best they could do. I have never been treated so rudely by any associate of Hannaford when I shopped in Westbrook or Gorham. The Yarmouth deli associates should take some training in customer service from the Westbrook or Gorham staff. I will not ever buy my deli meats from there again.

Ditto below on the rude deli counter mentioned in one of the other reviews… my wife also likes thin sliced and has gotten into knockdown drag outs a couple times. Also, the Yarmouth Karens glare at you if you don’t have a mask on. If you use the drug store, make sure you dont need to be anywhere for the next six hours!

A decent place, no real issue with it. Does not have Whole Foods selection but the prices are way better. For example a pack of Allagash White is about $2 cheaper.
