Store is a absolute nightmare! Never stocked always has carts and product all over the floor. Staff is lazy and ignorant. They care more about their food phones and complaining than working. They close the store for two days for what? They open back up with carts of product everywhere and when you go to check out you wait while the girl in that back stops looking at her sell phone to help you. They need to close down and fire all staff get a good manager and set the store right. The people of Winterport value the store but deserve way better. The Hampden store shines they staff is amazing and friendly and they are a team. Hope it changes.

Would rate a zero if I could, never opened when it is most of the time I see a cashier on their phone more than even trying to put stuff away. I get that it’s hard to accomplish a lot with one person but at least put some effort.

This place was great when it first opened. But now it's become a dark poorly lit, cluttered disorganized mess. You can hardly get through isles as product carts are constantly in the way. This is a safety hazard as sometimes you find yourself weaving down several isles before finding a clear way forward, what if there was a fire or other emergency. The employee answer is "well just push them out of the way" not everyone is capable of pushing these big old things around nor should a customer have to. What if one was to fall over or something was to fall off on a child? On top of the mess they commonly have a lack of what your looking for. Perhaps its all buried on the carts 🤷‍♀️

Some staff is always friendly when I go in, others not so much. Tanya and Marie are great and always greeting and talking to me when I checkout like good customer service should be. Taylor has always been grumpy towards me. Whenever I ask her for help finding something, she makes it seem like I am an inconvenience to her. Today I was in there and Taylor was working along with Jake the new guy. Well, Jake was super rude to me. He told Taylor that he doesn’t like me and I don’t like him because I gave him hell one time. He also refused to check me out but ended up having to because Taylor got busy. I was looking for something for my grandmother, he walked by me THREE TIMES and didn’t even ask me if I needed help. I will not be going back in there when both of them are working together. If he is the one doing the cashing out I will find the person doing stock and ask them to check me out. He shouldn’t have done that especially with other customers in the store.

The Google map hours state they are open Thanksgiving from 7AM to 10PM. This is a set of special holiday hours. I arrive at store at 8 AM. They have pasted a piece of notepaper on the door saying they are closed. Here on Google they are still listed as open.

This has to be the most unreliable unpredictable disorganized, dirty, business in the area with so many rude, impatient, unprofessional staff! Only reason I even gave 1 star was for those couple staff members that are great! As many times as I've driven to this store only to find out it's not open Grrrrr look I understand sometimes things happen but for a business like this one there is no good reason for it to close b4 the actual supposed time to close or just not open at all to the point that it becomes not that big of a surprise to the customers(it still makes us ANGRY though)& to the other business's in the area. Times are tough enough no need to make your customers have to spend more of thier hard earned money for gas , etc. Because of the blaintent disregard that that store needs ALOT OF HELP!! And has needed it for a long long time!!But it seems it just keeps doing the same things regardless of the results or negative effects it has and is continuing to have on your customers and apparently THATS OK WITH DOLLAR GENERAL & also to those whom can make any kind of positive impact or could help with any thing negatively effecting customers, staff, etc. I'm just DONE with this store!!

Aisles are too narrow time begin with, let alone when they are partially blocked with free-standing displays. Lots of useful items at good prices, but can't depend on the shelves being well stocked where high-demand products are concerned. Having this store close by saves me trips into the city -IF what I need is in stock.

Empty spaces on shelves where products I wanted should have been. Too-narrow aisles further blocked by merchandise that had fallen to the floor, dollies of unshelved products, or cardboard awaiting disposal. Insufficient staffing to serve customers as well as maintain the store in proper order.

Used to be 5 stars, store and management has gone down hill. Shelves not stocked because it's in boxes in the middle of the isles, so disorganized. Coolers always out of order, and not much in the ones that do work. We used to go there almost every day, but we don't now because it isn't being taken care of. I want to keep this store in Winterport, please retrain you staff and clean it up.

Lots and lots of merchandise at great prices. Staff very friendly and helpful. Gave four stars as layout is crowded and not always easy to maneuver. Love having a store locally.

If I could rate the Winterport DC a zero, I would. Their inventory is never stocked, there are clothes & other products all over the floor, making it hard to go through with a cart. The check out line is usually to the chip aisle, & the over all look of the store is totally disgusting! I tried to call the store 3 times this morning to see if they had a certain product in, & they didn't answer the phone. I am really surprised the Winterport store hasn't closed yet. Guess I'll go to Hampden or Searsport for what I need....

I just went to your store about hour Go very dirty / All clothes where on the floor/And there where cardboard all over the floor in each Aisle .not inpressed.your store crew need to get there act together. I used to work at store I never left it like that..

This store is good for what it is and it saves a trip into belfast. Some things are less but most items are more expensive due to the convience factor. The store is usually a bit messy as they are always restocking

The store is great but the lady I got that cashed me out was out of line my 9 year old daughter was having a hard time listening to me when I said no about getting something throwing herself on the floor and crying, I get up to the check out line and she asked for something else I said no and she started in again with the crying the lady behind the register was rolling her eyes,once it was my turn she bagged my stuff up then got out these dollar general shopping bags that are reusable and said to my girls sense you were such great listeners these are for you I was irate she didn't even ask if it was ok to give them the bags she just did it, well I was so embarrassed by my daughters behavior I didn't say anything but I told my daughter that the one that was given to her was mine she was not getting rewarded for her horrible behavior, I plan on going in today to return the bags this lady was out of line 😡😡😡😡😡😡

Can't walk through the isles, looks like a tornado came through, some isles were dangerous. Only 1 register open long lines , employees standing out front smoking

These stores are springing up like Starbucks. But they do have some great stuff in them for a low price.
