Was a regular customer when traveling through to Dover-Foxcroft...but after the owner approached me with hostility over a picture I took of the cooler (my girlfriend wanted to know what flavors they had, too many to type), watched me while I left, and freaked out on me when I took a picture of the building for my review...I will be going somewhere else with my business.This woman is paranoid, self centered, and not interested in serving the public. Do with this information what you will...

Don't bring your kids into the store because Joe Tyler likes to bully little kids and make them feel super uncomfortable (he a creeper!) Just ask mine cuz he does it to them and I'm sure they aren't the only ones....there's a reason he don't spend much time with his own grandchild!

Deb's Variety truly does offer a variety of goods and services. First of all, the gas prices are very competitive with others in the area. Inside you'll find a wide selection of liquor, cold beer, a decent wine selection, plus your usual corner store beverages. They also have a small automotive section with different oils and car accessories you might need in a pinch. There's a selection of snacks and other grocery items also available. The hot food is also quite good. They have a fantastic deal where you get a 1.25-liter soda with any large pizza. Speaking of pizza, it's not bad for a gas station. The crust and base are pleasantly fluffy. The sauce is quite good and the cheese is pleasantly toasted. It's on the greasy side but has a good garlicky flavor to it. The french fries are a real winner. Both the standard and curly fries are crispy, light, and flavorful. My vegan wife likes the veggie sandwich as well. Finally, the people that run the shop are nothing but polite and friendly. I can recommend Deb's Variety without a doubt!

Deb Tyler being the owner is one of the rudest people I know I was in the establishment trying to pay for gas today taking an emergency call from my daughter at school and she made a scene and told her cashier not to wait on me because I was on the phone and she refuses to wait on people on the phone. This is not the first encounter my family has had with her when we had already been over Covid and done our quarantine she told us we were not allowed back in her store for a certain amount of days. Real good way to run an establishment in a family community. And I will make sure my entire family takes their business elsewhere and that includes Fuel business and that is a lot of fuel sold in a year or just to a few people. And the way that the people dressed that work in her deli in the afternoon and evenings is a palling they should probably do a little bit of self inventory on self-care and wash their clothes and look presentable to the public considering they’re making the Publics food

Deb herself ALWAYS recognizes us coming in & I understand being fined for selling to minors but I had a completely VALID temp license w/ a picture ID to show & was still denied by deb herself. Deb/her employees have ALWAYS taken my temp ID before even though she said she hasn’t(pretty odd to say when she says “I haven’t seen you in awhile” any other time). Stubborn deb makes for a bad experience. Mandys would never. Lost a regular today because your misunderstanding how ID’s work! Debs has always been the place to go for us but not anymore. Such a shame!

Used to be great but of late has declined for food :(. Twice burnt cheese sticks and the last and third time we asked they be cooked less but still burnt to the point we couldn't eat one half.... hope they fix that soon but for now were moving on.. friendly service at least
