They are a small local grocer with a good variety. Fresh deli, gluten free products, and good frozen food section. Lots of fresh meats. For seafood there is the lobstore within a mile. Sure beats driving 30 minutes to Ellsworth.

Friendly town grocer under new management with a strong inventory, fresh meat/seafood section and surprisingly good take out meals that range from quality burgers to legitimate international specials. Definitely grateful to have this store in town!

Small town grocery store, not well stocked, but does have all the staples. Hours are limited, they open at 8am and close at 7pm. Fresh produce is limited. The staff are very friendly and fast. It is sufficient for the small fishing town of Winter Harbor.

Cashier was very lovely, first time in winter harbor and she gave us plenty of ideas and places to see or do!! Wide selection of snacks, alcohol, meat, frozen and fruits and veggies!!

Given the size, they are a fully stocked grocery store and generally have what I'm looking for. Also, given the size, this store is a maze that is quite troublesome to navigate when it's busy. I had a hard time getting around other customers to reach the cashier last time I was in.

This place is under new owners and managers and has been turned around. A great one stop shop for most essentials, and then some AND they now carry what is perhaps the best bread in the area (in my opinion, by a LONG SHOT!) made by The SCHOODIC BAKING COMPANY. It’s worth every penny, so so unbelievably good it will make you wanna slap yo mama and get up and dance. Like Tartine level Parisian bakery level next excellent croissants.Lest this become a review solely about bread, I will forever call the IGA the IGA and I hope they keep the old vintage “winter harbor food service” signage for the retro IGA, (is it even still there? Shows how aware of my surroundings I am… not!) although it is now technically called Winter Harbor Provisions, that’s a bit too rich for my blood but I totally get why they’d want to change the name and affiliation.Bonus pic of the old, old IGA before my time in town but still cool nonetheless. Onwards and upwards to its new chapter serving the community. Nice to see good folks come give it a little love!

The women here sold my cousin a dozen lobsters. So the 3 boys (ages 8-15) and I were playing a game* to occupy ourselves while driving back home (hers)...*spotting something along the way going through the alphabet. We were on "Q" when we got to the store. Well our competition was close (and fun!), but Q is a tough letter. As we entered the store, we looked for something beginning with Q...The little boy made mention to one of the ladies... and lo and behold! she came up with a quarter, (and q- tip)... we were all searching for a quarter. She found it, the youngest claimed it AND she let him keep the quarter!! And yes, the rest of us were sore losers, but we continued the game... they were super and made the game more fun by "playing" with us... who does that these days? I mean, could anyone go into a store and get that kind of friendly, over the top service???Love you gals!! And thanks! The lobsters were delicious, of course!

Filthy. Meat looked green. We frequented this store 4+ years ago and it was wonderful. Not so anymore. It's a shame too as it's the only grocery in town and they desperately need it there. As a tourist, I can travel elsewhere now.

This is the only grocery store in town. It's an IGA that's quite old. Inside the aisles are very tight. The service was efficient and there is a marked difference between the service to a tourist and a service to a local. That was a bit off-putting. Prices are fairly high. You won't find all the brands that you would in a larger city area or even town area. But that is to be expected. It serve the needs that we had for the trip.

A great local store for out of towners to get the basics! We were camping in Schoodic Woods, and came here a few times to get supplies.

Absolutely wonderful they had such a great assortment of groceries and the people that work there are wonderful. They crowned us up some ground beef with bacon in it as we waited. Great place will be back

Walked in and walked out. We are in the middle of a global pandemic. Signs at the entrance indicate that EVERYONE MUST wear a mask. Only one customer, one employee and the Frito Lay delivery guy had a mask on. The deli had a sign on it “Be back in a bit”, but several employees behind the deli with no masks on. We decided to drive back to Bar Harbor. Get with the times people or your beautiful community will become the next “hot spot”.

Modest selection of local vegetables and flowers. Not much fruit, may be past the season. Very friendly and helpful staff, real working farm.

This grocery store is gross. It is not clean. Only one close to Schoodic Woods though. Produce was old and some was moldy. Very poor meat selection. Sad experience 😢

Small village grocery store with a little bit of everything. If your looking for the section & low prices of a large supermarket drive the 25 miles to Ellsworth.

Don't let the description and lack of website fool you. This is a legitimate IGA grocery store 5 minutes from the entrance to the Schoodic Woods Campground

One of those small supermarkets that has what you need when they need it. Don't expect to find everything you may want if you're hosting a dinner party but for the basics, they are they
