The restaurant is not open, but they have created an outdoor patio that you can order from and grab a table with a great view of the ocean. The hot dogs are large and very tasty. The haddock sandwich was just right, and the blueberry pie was one of the best we have ever had. Bought a whole one to take home! Staff is very friendly and it's a great place to visit on a beautiful day.

A while back Rosemarie and I went to Fisherman's Inn for dinner. I ordered the fried haddock and Rosemarie ordered the lobster mac and cheese. As we started our first bite we both knew something was completely wrong with both orders. The haddock was barley warm and greasy. The lobster and mac was loaded with hot sauce. We immediately brought this to the attention of the owner. He was polite and explained that the cook was leaving in less than a week and he believed he was a short timer and possibly did this intentionally. The owner never offered us a new meal. If I was the owner I would have said to my customers, "I would like you to order a new meal, anything you like and it will be on me." And, you are welcome to desert and coffee." But this was never mentioned. The owner did refund both meals and we left discouraged. A terrible experience. It is hard to believe the owner did not offer a resolution to this situation, however, it was for the best.

Not a bad spot to grab some grub. A little pricey for the portions you get. Waitress was good and the ice cream was good. It's a different type of feel when you walk in. You have to order your food and then go sit down. Kind of like a fast food joint but not the fast food fare.

For a great down east causal eating experience, we found this to be great. We are from Cape Cod and felt they had the best streamers we have ever had. No sand at all with great flavor. Try adding the malt vinegar to the dipping broth before the butter bath, as suggested to us. Great flavors.The baked stuffed clams incredible. My wife loved her loaded lobster roll. Simple and just stuffed with lobster. Staff was very friendly and helpful with the menu. Very low key and casual. Good spot.

Nice, homey atmosphere. You order at the front, choosing from a menu board and a specials menu. You get a number and take a seat in a booth. The wait staff are pleasant and helpful. We had the Lobster Bake with New England Clam Chowder,mussels, corn on the cob, and a pound and a quarter lobster. It was excellent!!!!.

We loved this place! The owners were so thoughtful. They went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Great lobster roll and the best blueberry pie! The Saltbox across the street could take a few lessons on how to treat customers from these guys.

Long standing reputation as a great Winter Harbor Restaurant. A window remodel would seriously enhance their views of the Harbor. Food is very good, the broiled scallops were cooked to perfection. I informed them with the reservation that it was my wife's birthday and they remembered (without reminder) and brought a wonderful piece of blueberry pie with ice cream on the house and sang the song. Very nice touch. Highly recommended.

Absolutely perfect. The staff was so friendly, one of the girls even gave us great information about the lobster that we never knew, due to my curiousity! The food is priced very well and delicious to say the least. We will go back and we highly recommend! And the decor is adorable.

This was our favorite cold lobster roll in town. Served by a very cute crew, all outdoor, everyone on the staff was wearing a mask except the lobster roll guy. Regardless he was charming and made a great roll with lots of knuckle meat. They serve it with a house-made lemon mayo squirted on top like ketchup on a hot dog, which was great actually. Just a great pile of meat and a nice tangy mayo, we requested "lite" mayo and i think i'd even go for more.

Me and my mom went and had the best time! Best lobster rolls, lemonade, and cole-slaw of our lives by far! The nicest people too, one of which rocked a very cool lobster hat! Please go if you can, you won’t regret it!

First visit was nice. Second visit was total polar opposite. I would not recommend this place due to not caring if they insult the very "tourists" that want to spend their money for food. When asked for recommendations for another place to eat, I kept hearing Bar Harbor..over an hour away. 🤬🤔 Not a good experience for this tourist

Came in just before closing and they told us to take our time and were super friendly from the get go. Great margaritas and onion rings and the homemade sauces were delicious. Bought a glass as a souvenir on the way out too.

Kind of a strange set up. Walk in, order food, drinks at the counter, sit and wait. Kind of off putting.Steamers were the best I've ever had. Ribeye was thin cut, but cooked right and flavorful. Loved the lobster Mac and cheese. Staff was attentive, almost to a fault. I don't think anyone would be disappointed in this place, as long as they know what to expect format wise.A very well run operation.

Absolute scam, everything was overpriced and the food we got was an insult to good Maine seafood. For $17 as a “lobster roll” we got a small slice of buttered toast with maybe 10 grams of unseasoned lobster meat served with RUFFLES POTATO CHIPS!! Please do not support this business which is ripping people off.

25 July 2012 Thursday - excellent food (wanted to kidnap chef and bring that person home); excellent service; This is the quiet side of Frenchman Bay, compared to Bar Harbor. Excellent find after late afternoon at Schoodic Head part of Acadia NP. Wonderful place. You know the food is fresh when there are boats in the back parking lot!!!

We visit winter harbor every year and place fisherman's inn as a must visit restaurant at least a couple of times. The food is the best in the area. While others may have a nicer view, if you want great seafood, it can't be beat.
