Scotty and Dottie are two of the Front End Cashiers ( they’ve been there a LONG TIME and do an excellent job of Customer Service.) The Pro Loader was quite helpful. Lumber and Hardware Aisles were kept well stocked and organized as well as clean. We found everything thing we needed for the Job at Hand.

Christine at the Windham location is SO lovely!! I went in this afternoon to browse around and she was able to answer any and all questions that I had and we had such a nice conversation afterwards. She was so sweet and funny during our entire interaction and mentioned how important it is to be kind to everyone you meet. She completely made my day!!

I went with Home Depot for a whole house generator, my recommendation is to NOT go through Home Depot in Windham Maine for a whole house generator. They contract with GENERATOR SUPERCENTER of Maine. Generator supercenter of Maine is an EXCELLENT company to work with, the installation was flawless the workers were professional polite and friendly, professional in every way. Home Depot charged me TWICE for the amount of $9,610.00 for a total of $18,1220.00 they pulled from my checking account. Needless to say my account wasn’t prepared for an additional $9,610.00 deduction from my account. Trying to get this resolved has been a NIGHTMARE absolutely NO communication from Home Depot. Do not give them a check whatever you do!

No cashiers. 4 self serve 3 accept card only. Cash machine has a line card only no line no customers. Went to return item to the rightful place aisle is gated off. Then I hear they are accepting customers at customer service woman who made the announcement was walking away. Aggravated I just put the item down and left.

several days of buying foundation retaining wall blocks and it seems there's always one or two people willing there to help. typically a fork truck driver is available with a spotter but today the location was short on help. They both agreed that loading 22lb blocks by hand is minimal work (we bought 155) kudos to them! Our home project is coming along fantastic Thanks to The Home Depot team!!

We go to home Depot for all of our power tools, hand tools ECT. We also get driveway sealer there sometimes.. the staff is always very friendly and helpful. We got a great pressure washer there a few weeks ago too.

Id give 0 stars if I could. We spent $700 on a base cabinet, obviously not impressed when it showed up damaged. Called and spoke with customer service who instructed us to leave the cabinet outside for UPS pick up. They were supposed to pick it up and then schedule delivery for a new one. UPS came and wouldn’t pick up the cabinet. It’s been very aggravating to sort out, especially since it’s obviously not our fault that cabinet was damaged. I would highly recommend against Home Depot. The low quality cabinets arrived damaged, customer service told us what we wanted to hear rather than addressing the issue appropriately. Avoid avoid avoid!!!

Updated review 1/3/23 - We've been to the Windham, Maine location several times since my review back on 10/8/22. Staff has been much more friendly and more attentive since then. Very cheerful crew this morning. Keep up the good work!Everything was in stock we needed. Could have done without the grumpy staff member (not sure of his name) who was complaining about the quantity of customers being in the store on 10/8 at about 11:00am in the Windham, Maine location. Not sure what was going on, but the attitude was completely unnecessary and should learn to tone his volume down a bit.

Update 10/31/23:If your looking to have a few pipe cut and threading, I got that there rigid pipe cutter is broken. This store doesn't do enough cutting and threading to break that type machine. They sware no it's broken. I have been there asking for cuts on plywood and they say oh no we don't do that it ruins the blades, wow aren't you a home improvement store I bet you might have more blades. For most part either they have no idea how to run the equipment or they really don't want to be bothered to do it. I went to Lowe's and they cut the pipe in 5 minutes!I went to look at refrigerators after going online and researching features of numerous makes and models. I compared a few models at this store and a lady in the department helped me physically checking the models and lady checked specs and pricing. I had it narrowed down to two and reviewed them with my wife. Once we decided on a model, I went to store and an associate had my model ordered and paid along with my delivery date in about 15 minutes. I had a really good experience getting our new refrigerator.

I had a big project at home and my contractor friend sent me to Home Depot in Windham a few times for supplies. I am ignorant with home improvement stuff. All three times I went, Adam was waiting near the door to ask if I needed help with anything. He followed me around and pretty much picked my entire order all times. I would have been lost without him. In times where staffing is an issue, Adam made it feel like it wasn’t. He made me feel less embarrassed that I was clueless.

I went in looking to do some amateur kitchen sink repair. Was kindly directed to aisle 7, immediately found what I needed and headed to check out. I was kindly greeted and rung up and we said our 'good days'. Nice place. Lots of space.

Service at Home Depot continues to worsen dramatically since Covid 19!! It’s amazing how companies still use this very stale and obsolete excuse to excuse all kinds of horrific customer service.Now HD gives customers a “window” for delivery from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM and they do it without any shame at all for a delivery fee of $79.00. But HD will give you “real” customer service for an additional fee of $20.00. So if you don’t agree to be be blackmailed or embezzled for an additional $20.00 they keep this information that they obviously have from their schedule secret.Home Depot doesn’t care if customers have to lose a full day of work as long as they get a measly extra $20.00.HD your day of reckoning is coming as inflation and recession deepens. Remember the mid 2000’s? Back then I was building a home when very few were and Home Depot basically begged me to buy more every time I entered the store and rolled out the red carpet. Those days are returning very quickly.It is high time for customers to let these companies know who sets the rules, which should be based on customer needs. I own a business and it is my customers who tell me what works for them and what does not. Time to vote for companies with your feet and your dollars!!

We always enjoy going to our local store in Windham Maine. I used to work for their competitor and would much rather shop at Home Depot any day of the week. The prices and availability are much better at The Depot then they are across the street. And for all of the super customer service training their competitor puts their associates through you would think they would have better customer service, well they don’t. Every time I go into their competitor I remember why I walked out even in the management position I held. Thank you Depot for taking care of your customers better then others.

Oh Home Depot , so much I can do !! Hard to find things sometimes. But staff are super friendly and know where things are. The app helps IF I can get cell signal in the store. Their guest wifi kind of sucks. Cant use the app in store to find things without asking someone. Is wheel chair accessible and the garden center is superb 👌 👏

Never shopping at this location again!! Treat customers like criminals. Usually deal with portland pro desk Bill takes my orders and handles phone payment for me. Customer I do alot of work for has had a stroke so has his associate handle payments. Well apparently they thought it was a scam and made me waste a hour and acted like they were putting credit card info into computer and really weren't!! Kept saying card denied she also was making phone calls obviously to manager . Spend about $2000 a week at portland location alone if I have more work in this area lowes will get my business they dont treat their customers like this! Disgusted by the way they treat their customers at this location!

In stock products and nice wide aisles. Aisles and products always cleaned up and organized. Competitive prices. They always have name brands along with good selection of private brand. Private brand products are actually of decent quality. Quick check out and competent staff are usually the norm. Parking is normal for a business this big, with nice dedicated spots for curbside pickup.
