I have chosen Shaws in Windham as my grocery store because it’s close to my house, the fruit and meat selection is great and they are the only store in this town with my favorite chips (Food Should Taste Good Sweet Potato Chips) BUT the last 10 times I’ve come here, there is literally not one bag of my favorite chips on the shelf, and they have plenty at other stores so it’s not a production issue. What’s with that? Please order more :(

Ordered a birthday cake for my daughter and it didn’t get done. Manager is too lazy to pick up the phone and nobody in the bakery so don’t waste your time.

A big, open, clean and well organized store with competitive prices. The meat department is exceptional with great cuts of meat on sale like NY strip steaks. The store is set way back off the road and can be missed especially with Walmart signage dominating the area

The store is so disorganized and low stock on basic items (bread, donuts, etc). The employees were of no help and the bagger had no idea how to bag. He put cleaners in with deli meat and produce. Not to mention the store was so hot inside all my refrigerated items were super sweating after 5 minutes. You can do better Shaw’s!

The customer service at this store is beyond poor. No one is ever at the customer service desk and they are happy to let you stand there forever while they ignore you. Letting a bunch of kids with no interest in working run your store is a very poor plan. It’s unfortunate that my town requires me to buy trash tags. I suggest you put those tags at the register so you can serve your customers. I’m now headed to hannaford to buy my tags - not impressed. Perhaps shopping at hannafords in the future is the better choice.

Errr this place has gotten much worse since I worked here. The only reason why we shopped here today was to pick up a cake I ordered for my graduation. The cashiers made my dad bag his own groceries while two employees were standing and fooling around. The girl behind the cash register just stared at him and watched him when she could tell he would have appreciated the help that's their job to bag anyway (unless we went to a self checkout).People just don't wanna work. Hannafords from now on even to order a cake.

Store is usually clean and staff is friendly enough. The bathrooms could be a bit better though.Store is stocked well enough as can be during the present times. I will say that in general this chain is a bit pricey. We only come here for a couple items for that reason. We wouldn't even come here if the other store we shop at carried these particular items.In general this store is decent.

Store was clean and well stocked. Produce looked fresh and appealing. Plenty of registers open. The cashier I went to was very friendly. No bagger but that's fine as I prefer to bag my own anyhow. I have been going to this store off and on for 26 years.

I like going to Shaw's because parking is much easier and the shopping experience is less crowded. Prices are competitive, shelves are neat and fully stocked. I enjoy the shopping experience much better than Hannaford.

tried to use the grocery to go service. arrived at store and number on sign to call store goes to voicemail with no messaging set up 3x...same scenario...finally associate came out to deliver another customers order. when i got home i was shorted on the order go to Hannaford! Grossly overpriced

The store itself was clean.Good sales.. But when my daughter and I went to use the bathrooms it was awfully disgusting. One bathroom was closed. The second bathroom toilet seat was up and someone clearly had diarrhea all over the toilet back of the toilet seat and the floor was wet in front of the toilet. I put toilet paper down after using my foot to close the lid and placed lots of toilet paper on the seat and I held my daughter over the toilet. We drove from Farrington ME on our way to NH and my daughter needed to use a bathroom. Disappointed 😞 [

One item I purchased had a 50% off sticker on it, the cashier charged me full price. I will take it back which cost me gas and time. Shaw's does this alot. Can you imagine how much they have stolen from their faithful customer s over the years. And according to The Bible and the Ten Commandments stealing is the same as murder, they are not rated. So everyone please check your receipts

I like the straws location, it's a massive store and it's really well stocked. I got like five different types of melon from there one time oh, several that I had never even heard of (all were delicious! ) The only thing I could say as a negative is that it takes a long time to walk from one to the store to the other🤣

Excellent! I am especially grateful for choices of ethnic ingredients from mothers homeland as well as, my father's ingredients which are difficult to locate at times. Thank you. I went to the Scarborough store first and then, shopped in Windham. The fruit is fresh and easily portable to work.

Who in there right mind would spend $10.99 for a 12pk.of pepsi (buy 2 @$10.99 a piece) get 3rd free.When you can go anywhere else and spend less.

I am not sure if it was just a good day for them or what. But, the fact is the staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The Express checkout line cashier was excellent! I don't usually go to Shaw's but I may just start on a regular basis!

I went at nighttime (almost close) and there is more 'health nut' options than I thought, which I liked. There was only one register open but no lines. Some of the aisles aren't clearly marked with everything it has but it's fairly easy to navigate. Not much to say, it's a normal grocery store.

The prices are absolutely ridiculous just like Hannaford's there's stuff that I buy at market basket that are 2 to $3 less than these stores. What I spend at market basket i would double that or more at shaws. They are not always fully stocked. Market basket has been stocked from beginning of pandemic till now. Example Mercks port wine cheddar shaws 5.99. MARKET BASKET 3 .49. Compare the prices. Way more for hundreds of items.

I went there to purchase an item that was on sale for Christmas dinner. After several fruitful attempts to get assistance to get them item I wanted I went on , found some other items I needed, checked out and left. I left a review through the website on the receipt. The next day the manager called me, apologized and after discussion he assured me that there was plenty of the product I was looking for in stocks. Some days later I went back to the store to purchase the same item that was still on sale. I was advised by a worker in the depth that they did not receive delivery that day of any of the items I was looking for. He suggested that I try again in a couple of days. How can an item be on sale when it is not in stock? I'll try again but if the item is not in stocks I'll shop elsewhere. I've been shopping at Shaw's since 1985.

I have been going to Windham Shaw's my whole life, and they have consistently had wonderful helpful staff, freshest produce, meats, etc. I love the deals (10 for $10 is my favorite because it's the stuff I buy anyway!)This week, I ordered a sheet cake decorated with school colors for a graduation. They went above and beyond to make it look special. Everyone loved it and ate it up!

Shaws is not my favorite grocery store. The prices are much higher than the other local chains. The stores generally do not seem to be well stocked. The North Windham Shaws location is the worst of them. And customer service appears to a mystery to them from the managers down to the woman directing people at the register area. I heard customers having verbal altercations and it was a bit scary while management well management did not seem aware. I will say the "Store Director" spoke with me at length about my concerns which I appreciated, but he did seem controversial to me and not a great listener. I will shop elsewhere and in the big scheme of things right now I guess my individual concerns don't matter much. But stores other than this Shaws seem to be limiting the number of customers at a time, spray disinfecting the carts and for some reason more shoppers seem to be wearing face coverings. And with the loud argument between 3 customers I could hear three aisles away I did not feel completely safe in there. But the folks at the deli counter were nice and the Summer Slaw is so much better than average Cole Slaw.

I can find some good deals here when they have specials and 10 for $10. Items that are not in some special I feel are more expensive then other stores I go to in the area. I very seldom see any workers out on the floor especially in produce area. There is seldom workers in the bakery also. They seem to use the red $5 stickers pretty heavily throughout the store no matter what it is and how much there is of the item. The self checkout always need help from cashier's and most times talk about items in the package area then they shut down and blink red. There are never many cashier's and really not many people in the store.Update 1/8/2020:I was at Shaw’s today to get light hamburger rolls by the Shaw’s signature brand. I brought them home and used tonight for burgers. My wife bit into hers just as I was getting mine from the bag and noticed green tint on rolls. I turned the bag over and they were all covered with mold, but to late she already bit into hers. I am taking them back tomorrow and show Shaw’s that the bag said fresh thru 1/8/2020 and they were all moldy. Better check what you buy here! Beware of the red $5 stickers in produce. You can get a pound of strawberries a dollar cheaper in the regular packaging than the $5 bowls.Update 7/23/2020: This Shaw's has signs saying masks required to shop in their store. I saw at least one lady that I guess thinks that it doesn't apply to her. Why isn't the front end manager standing right there not enforcing it. The lady also had her own bags which by other stores are not allowed right now. I would let them know people are not abiding by the state mandate.

Great place to shop. Helpful staff and plenty of different products. The only problem is they run out if the sale items pretty quick but they are usually happy to substitute or rain check.

I have shopped at Shaw's for many years and have mostly been pleased with the products I've purchased from Shaws.I was very disappointed with your seafood promotion in the store, for fresh Haddock. I purchased approximately 3.5 lbs. of fresh haddock from the seafood section of Shaw's in Windham, about a week ago, to make a large Haddock chowder to share with my family during this difficult time.I was extremely upset that after I had given the chowder to my family, my husband and I ate some of the chowder ourselves and realized that it was not haddock at all.I never would have purchased this fish, if had I known it was not haddock, as advertised.I just needed to vent and express my disappointment.Sincerely,Cathy JohnsonCjbroker@myfairpoint.net

I love that they double coupons. The prices are a little on the high side, so I don't always shop there. However they often have items I can't find anywhere else, and if you can combine sales with doubled coupons you can get a great deal.

Lapin and I came to this spacious grocery store to return some bottles. The bottle redemption center is very tiny and they had several people who had a gigantic bag waiting to use the machine. The store itself, was spacious, had generous sales and friendly staff. However, I purchase a few of Captain Eli's soda pop for $1.29 (plus tax and dep) only to find some of the varieties have expired more than 2 months ago. For a display that is at the end of aisle and front and center, one would expect fresh products.
