Not a very big store but its wall to wall animal stuff. Didnt have a chance to look around was on a mission to get a collar my dog snapped hers inhalf when she spotted a chipmunk lol no one asked if I needed any help. and there were 3 people in there working. But I was cashed out by a very nice clerk. Kind of pricey.

We travel with our pups a lot and too often have to go to big chain stores. I was so happy to find a locally owned store near where we are staying. They didn't have what we usually buy so their animal nutritionist helped me find a great alternative for our pups.You read that right, they have an on staff animal nutritionist. He spent a ton of time answering all of my questions and showing me everything that would meet our pets needs and that we would be able to find at almost any store. He even taught me how to look for good quality ingredients and how to tell the correct serving type based on our twos size (our what we want them to be at, they've gotten a bit chonky).I didn't get your name, but thank you so much for the great conversation and wonderful advice!

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the products. They carry the brands of cat food and litter that I prefer, which the big box and grocery stores do not. An interesting thing is that I had been ordering a specific brand of canned cat food by the case from a major online retailer, and Animal House charges less for the product, and I don't end up with a bunch of dented cans, which was always the case when I bought it online. Also, it just feels good to shop in a real store with people from your community working there. The prices might seem high if you are used to buying lower quality pet food, but I think it's totally reasonable for the high quality food they are selling.

VERY EXPENSIVE! I couldn't believe the cost of some of the dog toys in there. if your looking for an inexpensive option, don't go here. The lady was friendly enough, she didn't tell us about the perks at all which sucks because my mom has been buying her bags of cat food from here so she could have been earning points. when she found that out she still didn't offer it.

I love the selection of cat food and litter. The prices are higher than the grocery store, but I know I don't have to worry about the quality of the food I buy for my cat. Customer service is great. However, they don't always have what we're looking for at the time we are looking for the product. I also wish they had a rewards program. I will keep going here when needed.

Always so friendly and caring for my furry friends. I was running low on hay and didn’t have enough money to buy a little bag and wait to buy a big bag the next day (because everyplace was out), so they reached out and gave me a free box of hay from the bunny they no longer had! The shelter wouldn’t take it so it would have been perfectly good hay right in the garbage.. thankfully my boy piggies and are so thankful for this small business. I love how welcomed I am coming in and how friendly there goodbyes are too. Highly recommended to all friends and family for quality stuff with good prices!

I like this little shop. I walked in and there were two employees that were very friendly and both of them helped me find some seaweed jerky for my sore puppy and also some CBD treats for her pain.

I called around looking for a certain item for my dog, and every place I called the employee wasn't very helpful, they didn't know what they had in stock or they didn't know much about their products they did have. But when I called The Animal House they were awesome. They answered all my questions without hesitation, they know their products!!!! I definitely will be back!

I have been going to this store since I got my dog Stanley 2 years ago. I bought all my supplies when I first got him crate, toys, bed etc. Since then I have bought every bag of food. In all that time I mostly dealt with a seemingly nice lady named Sarah. Sarah never seemed to remember who I was which isn't that big a deal. But then one day another employee rang me up and informed me that the food brand I buy has a policy that you receive the 11th bag free if I had an account with them. I was a little shocked this had never been mentioned to me before since I had bought 6-8 bags of food previously. Again this was forgivable but I mentioned this to Sarah who blew me off. So I started thinking about going to a new store once I received my free bag. Recently Stanley got really sick from his food which involved multiple vet visits, feeding him a bland diet, and of course lots of stress. I called the store on Sunday to inform tell them about the bad bag of food and I was told I would get a call backwhich never happened. I waited till Wednesday to call back and Sarah answered the phone. Mind you I didn't want anything from the store but a solution to the problem and maybe my money back from the bag. She blamed me for everything and wasn't the least bit concerned for Stanley. She basically told me there was nothing they could do even if I talked to the manager but she would leave him a note and he would call me before 4 the next day. I never received a call so I called back the next day around 5 and spoke to the manager who seemed rushed and told me he was in contact with the food brand and didn't have a solution at that time. I was called back about a hour later by a woman named Tanya who told me they would give me a refund if I stopped in today which I did. As I walked in Sarah was helping a customer. The customer was asking her questions about toys. She stared at me with a disturbed and critical look on her face which I ignored and walked to the counter where the helpful Tanya was checking out a customer. Sarah actually walked up to me to ask me if I had actually talked to the manager as if I had no right to be there. Ignoring her customer in the process. I again ignored her and Tanya interrupted her and said that she was taking care of it. At no point over this entire ordeal did I ever raise my voice or use profanity or be rude in anyway I was just looking for a solution. I work in customer service and I can't understand why this had to be such an ordeal. But thank you to Tanya you were very helpful and you are the only reason I gave 2 stars. I will not be returning to this store ever again because of Sarah she really needs to learn to deal with all of the general public.

they don't sell animals; they support local rescues & animal shelters. Their staff KNOW their products & are familiar with a variety of issues regarding several species of animals. What they don't know they are willing to uncover with you. This store is a gem in our midst!
