I am so lucky to live just a few minutes away from Easy Aquariums! I am fairly new to having a reef tank, so their knowledge has been so important to keeping my tank and its inhabitants happy and healthy! They also are able to give great advice and insight into any problems happening in the tank, and they've special ordered equipment for me before. They really care about the animals there, and it shows in the cleanliness of their tanks and the energy of its inhabitants. Usually there's a great coral selection, too, if you're looking to add more corals to your tank. In an industry where places like Petco keep countless fish in tiny cups, which many will die in, it's refreshing to see animals have the room, nutrients, and environment they need.

Best place in Maine to go! Love their selection and the staff is always knowledgeable. We’ve gotten lots of fish here and two ball pythons and a blue tongue skink. All have been perfectly healthy, happy, and well cared for. Our reptiles have all been well socialized and the staff has been able to provide me with good information about their temperaments and preferences on food and handling so I could make their transitions super easy!Plus they support local breeders which I love.

Great place! I started my aquarium hobby last year with little knowledge and going to chain petshops and failing.... I think most aquarium hobbiest know that struggle. So I started to go here and they've helped me understand everything I need to know and it also helps to know they care for their animals well being!

I use to love this place. Yesterday Larisa was ready to sell me two Lionhead Ryukins, today apparently they were a special order and she can't sell them. So that was a half hour drive for nothing. She should have told me yesterday they were a special order and had them marked NFS like all the other special orders in the store. Did she think I couldn't care for them all of a sudden? The man I was picking them up for has had softball sized goldfish for decades. So, if that's why she refused to sell them to me she's a piece of work. If they were really on special order and I hadn't hesitated, I would have ended up buying someone else's fish. Either way, bad business.

One of the few pet stores I have great success buying fish from. Often times when you buy from chain stores like petco/PetSmart it’s 50/50 if the fish survives, I’ve even lost entire tanks to disease from these chain stores. But every fish I get here just thrives, I’ve gotten loaches, gouramis, plants all did great and never had to worry about disease. Prices are a bit higher, but the quality and health of the fish is worth the extra charge. It’s fun just to go in and see what’s in stock, the reptile section is great too.

Alot of moisture. Not much of a selection for tropical fish. Salt water choice seemed good . Alot of reptiles. Some dead fish in the tanks.

Definitely the most knowledgeable (and kind) staff I’ve come across at an aquarium shop in Maine - especially for freshwater. Very well-kept tanks, healthy fish, and a decent supply of freshwater plants. I can’t speak to the quality of the corals and marine fish, but they always look active and healthy. The store display tanks are also impressive fun to sit and watch. Lots of supplies and frozen foods, including less common ones like live vinegar eels.

Such a great place to just go and explore. My boyfriend and i travel over an hour to get fish and reptiles from here. They are the most knowledgeable staff I've ever dealt with in NH. Love and trust them!!!

I Absolutely love this place!! They always have the best fish to pick from, the best equipment to pick from as well, and of course fish food and other animal food too. You gotta stop in here and at least check it out.

My neighbor recently recommended this place to me and I fell in love. This is one of the best aquatic stores in Portsmouth and Maine! The staff were very friendly, helpful, and knowable about aquatics, their care, etc. I would TOTALLY recommend this aquatic center to anyone! They even purchased 4 guppies that I bred. Great local fish shop with large selection of fresh and saltwater. They also have a large selection of plants and coral as well. There is a whole section of planted nano tanks setup which I think are available to purchase. They also had a large selection of hardscape and other necessities for aquariums and terrariums.

I recently got into the hobby, and everyone I've interacted with has been friendly and knowledgeable. For a relatively small space, they do a great job of filling it with great live plants, aquascaping rocks/wood, foods and everything you might need. If they don't have it, they are ready to get it for you. Great store!

Easy Aquariums usually has the aquarium chemicals, beneficial bacteria, medications, and planted substrate that no one else carries. Price and selection are fantastic. It is the first place I go for all of my fish keeping needs.

Easy aquariums is a fantastic place to get fish stuff, reptile stuff, amphibian stuff and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable!I have recently been embarking on a journey to make a frog terrarium and I didn't really know where to start other than, well, terrarium, lol.They gave me helpful tips and direction on how to get things setup and it so far been super easy with their help.They have super cool fish too! I need to get a fish tank so I can get some cause I miss my fish I had a while ago and they make it too easy to just want such cool fish!They've got plants, underwater plants, materials for terrerium layers and terrerium enclosures themselves.Frwh water fish salt water, it's even just a cool place to stop in and just take a look. Oh! They also have a big snake you can see too, I kept my distance even though it's behind plexi glass cause snakes spook me but still cool!I highly recommend stopping in there!

It's smaller than I thought, but jam packed with lost of aquarium and terrarium merchandise as well as a few reptiles and a decent selection of fish. The staff are very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions. I asked about the goldfish, they won't sell you a goldfish for anything under 20gal, which is awesome, a pet store that doesn't promote animal abuse

Very knowledgeable and friendly, locally owned. Their feeder bugs are so much cheaper and healthier than the big pet stores. Crickets/bugs live a long time and don't die in 2 days like from the big chain stores. They actually know and care a lot about fish/reptiles. Highly recommend

My partner and I were on the hunt for a local fish store and spent the day checking out different ones. This one was by far the best. They care for their animals and want to make sure they go to a good home. Staff was friendly. Only downside is their hours are limited on weekdays, but I assume it's due to short staffing. Highly recommend checking this place out

Easily one of the top two aquarium stores in the state and the definitive best in southern Maine. GREAT selection, local bred freshwater fish, tons of plants, high quality saltwater fish and corals, highly knowledgeable staff that truly cares about the animals wellbeing. I don't know enough to grade their herps but they at least look clean and healthy. Great selection of equipment for all your aquatic needs too.

We have been very pleased with Easy Aquariums since the stores previous location in Gorham ME. Such a fun little store, they have an amazing variety of fish (both salt and freshwater), corals and anemones! My family maked a trip to visit this store EVERY weekend, and sometimes twice each week! The display tanks are stunning! The staff are so wonderful, the blonde young woman(drawing a blank on her name at the moment, but she's worked here since Gorham location) she knows her stuff! The reptiles always look great too, I love the new reptile room! They sell premixed saltwater, copepods, live plants, live rock, amazing wood pieces, bugs..literally everything you need for your aqua or land tank! See you in a few days!

I have always liked the store. Great variety of various aquarium supplies. Also like being able to buy pre-boxed crickets in large quantities. Soooo many items in the store on the shelf not priced though. Get's very annoying to have to ask repeatedly "how much is this item" while looking through for the things I need. Other than that, really like the store and will go nowhere else for the things I need. Also would wish they would get a wider variety of fish food in stock. Lastly, I would spend alot more money in the store if they had more freshwater fish to choose from. Always looking for high quality guppy's which are hard to find in Maine.
